My first impression when I walked into this shop is how cozy it was- it felt like the kind of skate shop you would find on a boardwalk by the beach in the 1980's, except this is a quaint shop in Renton in an unsuspecting location. I was immediately greeted by Dave and Mike, and when I explained to them that I was looking for a helmet to fit my hair (I'd you saw my hair you'd understand) they said they could help me without hesitation and helped me try on several helmets! Mike was so knowledgeable about their stock and coached me on how the helmet should properly fit, how I know it's time for a new one, and how to adjust it as well as answered any other questions I had- I'm SO grateful for this experience because I've heard rumors about skate shops being cliquey or standoffish towards women, but that absolutely was not the case here. I had such a great experience and I confidently went to the skatepark today without fear of busting my ass and getting a concussion. I would call this trip a success!

The holy grail for your skating needs. This is a living museum. If you are in the area don't miss it. Dave's the man!

Awesome local skate shop, good products, honest guys, they have every little random part you need, and they're good dudes. You know you're getting the best and you feel good spending your money there. Also check out their awesome collection of classic boards with a lot of history. Also they do great snowboard and ski tune ups for cheaper then any of the other big name shops. Also have good cheap snowboards in stock. SUPPORTYOURLOCALSKATESHOPS!!

A couple sets of new wheels the guys at Gravity put on my boards today. Thanks!

Great skate shop! The guys there are super nice. They know their stuff and can offer good advice. I bought a couple sets of wheels today. For one board I only needed a super cheap and small set of wheels for my dogs skateboard and asked a bunch of questions. There was NO pressure to buy the most expensive thing, which I really liked. 3 things illustrate how chill the shop is: a) they let me ask several questions about wheels for MY DOG'S skateboard, b) they gave good advice for my longboard and my dog's board and c) I got no grief for any of it :) Plus the collection of older boards on display around the shop is awesome to see.

I love this shop!!! So hard to find some real advice on skateboards these days. Most boards are available from crappy mall kind of shops but you don't get a board that exactly fits you that way. Mike is from the old school and will put your board together based on what is best for you! Really nice and helpful with reasonable prices on top best hardware! We bought a Powell Peralta board, pads, a helmet and a longboard from him.

Owner/worker is extremely rude and crotchety. Give your business to nice people who are helpful.

I initially contacted Center Cycles over the phone on a bike I was interested in, and right from the start, I was impressed by his commitment to customer satisfaction. One of the standout moments during my visit was when Dave, the owner, went above and beyond to price match the sale another bike store was having, as well as put the bike together within half a day's notice so I could test ride the bike that same day. Finding a trustable bike store is hard to do and after my visit, I have nothing but a 100% trust in this store. Center Cycles only had a 49 cm size of the exact bike I was interested in (which is what I currently ride) but they also had a 52 cm size of the bike but a higher end model. I test rode both and the 52 cm to me felt like a much better fit. Their bike fitter, along with other Center Cycles staffing, assessed my fit and all agreed that the 52 cm was the correct size for me. Instead of pushing me towards a sale, they prioritized my comfort and safety. This level of honesty and integrity is a rare find in any business. Throughout my visit, everyone at Center Cycles displayed an incredible level of friendliness and professionalism. They genuinely cared about my cycling experience and were more concerned about finding the right bike for me than making a quick sale. If you're looking for a bike shop that prioritizes your needs, offers exceptional service, and values honesty above all else, Center Cycles is the place to go.

I have my dad's bike after he passed, it probably sat for 8-9 years in a garage before I started…read moreriding it. I rode it a few times during the summer of last year, but nothing long bc the gears needed work due to slipping, chain was dirty, and tires were really bad and starting to split. I took it in to center cycle for a tune up and new tires. The guy said yeah he wouldn't ride on those tires as they were and told me how much it would be for new tires and tubes, I said that was fine. They called me two days later to tell me it was finished and I had my BF pick it up. He said they didn't say anything about the bike when they gave it to him. I was surprised they only charged for the tune up and no tires when I was expecting replacements. When I looked at it the same tires were still on it, the chain looked the same, after riding it, the gears acted the same way and were still slipping . I thought maybe they didn't think the tires needed replacing. I took it on two 15 mile rides. Started to take it out for a 3rd with a 1700ft elevation gain and big decent. Topping off the back tire with air before I left, I noticed a huge piece of my tire was peeling back. There were other spots on the tires where it was starting to split as well. Thank god I noticed before that ride, cause I can't imagine going 40mph down the hill and having my tire blow. This is unacceptable, they literally did nothing to my bike and charged me 150.00 for a "tune up", and sent the bike back with the same shit tires.
