Absolutely insane! I'm more of a cake donut person and this place delivered. I tried the strawberry one and blueberry one. Their apple fritters I swear weigh 5lbs. Fun place and vibes to be in and get donuts! There can be a line tho otherwise it's an in and out place. Outdoor seating available :)
We came at 11 on a Sunday and there weren't many donuts left...totally understandable why!! Got the blueberry and cinnamon crumb and they were the most delicious donuts I've ever had! Super fluffy and light and flavorful. The ham cheese egg and jalapeño croissant sandwich was yummy too. Definitely coming early tomorrow so I can try one of those huge fritters!

Get there early because they sell out quick! All the donuts are delicious but I very much enjoyed and recommend the apple fritter, pineapple fritter and cinnamon roll! They are enormous and either take days to finish it you can be nice and share. They are fresh and flavor is perfect. The sandwiches are also very good and made fresh. Great to take down to the lake or on the boat. The place itself has tables outside, plenty of parking and a cute mini golf area.
Great experience at Dank Donuts. Enjoyed the place's ambiance. Had great Christmas music, hospitable & helpful service and I liked looking at the decorations. The Rueben exceeded expectations. Wanted more with every bite.
Oh Dank Donuts where have you been all my life?This gnarly donut shop boasts the highest elevation in California, creates some of the most delicious and freshest donuts I've ever had the privileged of tasting, and also hosts adult beverages and scrumptious sandwiches. Nestled up high by the slopes of Big Bear is this awesome place that seemingly all the cool kids know about. Luckily my family and I stumbled upon it while out for a walk and just had to stop. Fried dough with sweet glazes make my heart go pitter patter, and Dank did not disappoint. Over the course of 14 days we tried all they had to offer and everything we had was delicious. My favorites were the chocolate long John, giant apple fritter, and veggie sandwich. The service was always friendly and quick, so they do a lot of business with ease. The inside is very small, so it's a squeeze if they are busy, but the outside has plenty of tables to sit and enjoy the gorgeous Big Bear mountains. They have fun coin rides for the kids which kept my little ones busy and happy so we got a few extra minutes to relax. Big Bear has amazing donut game and Dank Donuts does a wonderful job of standing out amidst the crowd to offer unique and fresh tastes and at atmosphere that goes above and beyond your typical donut shop.

I paid $5.45 for 5 donuts. One of which was a cinnamon roll that was bigger than my head. If you have a sweet tooth for donuts, this is your best bet in big bear. Everything was very good and affordable. I believe I was there during happy hour (4-5pm daily). I think the happy hour is $0.50/donuts during happy hour. The staff were also helpful when I had a question about online ordering (you need to call to order ahead).
Dank DONUTS oh my gosh I can't even begin to explain how cool and interesting this place is. The staff was super friendly and gave us recommendations on what to try so we decided to go with the Apple critter donut. Hands down the best tasting donut we've had especially since we're from out of town. They also have donuts for dogs which I got my dog one and he loved it. If I could recommend anything I would say forsure the apple critter and the mini donuts as well. I got an iced matcha which I will say is on the sweeter side but still delicious. 5 stars from me !
Fun little donut shop slash deli..I had 2 delicious vegan donuts fresh and tasty!! Awesome iced dirtyish chai.. hit the spot I also ordered the wild turkey sub for later and it was very good! Full of turkey and fresh veggies Great attentive service and a nice sitting area outside If you need a donut fix or a great sandwich check them out!!!

There's a magical little place in Big Bear called Dank Donuts. And when I say magical, I mean it. Not only is it in the most beautiful location, but they're serving gluten-free DONUTS, GF breakfast burritos, AND doggie donuts. A whole inclusive menu. Which means when we're in town, we're frequenting daily. And my little one is gonna do a whole dance about it. Donut places are the number one place they get left out of. So finding a gluten-free donut? That's not just a treat. That's an extra special, "wait, this is for ME?" kind of moment. And for me? This may have been the first cronut I've ever had...but it was not the last. 10/10. I eat it every time I go. If you're in or around Big Bear anytime soon, make sure to stop by for a breakfast you won't regret. And the owner, who has celiac, also has a fire restaurant down the street with a whole gluten-free menu. This place kills it on the views, the menu, the food, and the totally awesome outdoor space to hang with the fam on a slow mountain morning. You won't want to miss it. TL;DR: Gluten-free donuts. GF breakfast burritos. Doggie donuts. Inclusive menu. Beautiful location. 10/10 cronut. Owner with celiac. Go here. Then go to their sister restaurant down the street. You're welcome. read more
I've been here twice and I think it's ok. It's a cute building with a good size outdoor patio. Depending on the weekend, lines do get out the door. I've tried a strawberry donut the first time in the fall. Most everything was sold out by the time we went. It was just ok, didn't taste like really strawberry, more artificial. This time in the summer we went since they still have the pineapple fritters. It's huge!! Was not expecting it to be that size so we split it. Again, it was ok. Didn't have a lot of pineapple so just tasted like fried dough. I wish it had more pineapple flavors. So it's ok. Probably won't be back for donuts but may try sandwiches next time. SYOY! read more

Such a cute do it spot and have been wanting to try it! The lines are out the door in the morning! But it was Memorial Day weekend, So I skipped coming early and decided to go in the late afternoon. They didn't have a huge selection, but I did try the strawberry, blueberry and Crumble donuts. Blueberry was my favorite, OMG sooo yummy! Also tried the Mexican potato salad which tasted like ceviche and was spicy! Service is very friendly and we were there to try the apple fritter. The cashier told us that we can order it and pick it up the next morning and skip the lines. Good to know! Went the next morning and walked right up to the counter and got our fritters. I'll definitely be back to try the coffee and sandwiches. read more

We had such a great experience at Dank Donuts! The decor is vibrant, fun, and super colorful--it instantly lifts your mood the moment you walk in. The donuts were absolutely delicious--fresh, soft, and full of flavor. Honestly, we came from LA and don't usually find donuts quite like these! Each one felt special and thoughtfully made. And the hot chocolate... just wow. Rich, warm, and perfect for the Big Bear weather--definitely a must-try. Such a cute spot with great vibes and amazing treats. Tried this donut spot today, it was delicious! Hot chocolate was hot but not extremely hot that it burned my tongue. The service was quick, employees were very friendly. The ambiance was nice and welcoming, even though it was really cold, I wanted to sit down outside to eat my donuts. The blueberry cake is a popular one and now I know why, it's super delicious, a bit crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I paid $20 in total for two hot chocolates, one blueberry cake donut, one long John, and 6 donut holes (these are about $2.60 ish for 6). Overall really good, I will be coming back! read more

We spent the weekend in big bear just to get away for a few days with our dogs. We decided to get dank donuts, we got a donut for the pups to share and a few for ourselves. We ordered off door dash so I had no idea how big the apple fritter was! HUGE! so good. I love a blueberry donut and this is by far the best blueberry donut I have ever had! It was so soft. So many places say they make their donuts fresh. And I'm sure they do but Dank donuts really taste and FEEL fresh. Even having the chocolate bar a day later it was still amazing! Whatever their recipe for dough is DONT CHANGE IT! love this place. We'll be coming back any time we're in big bear ! read more

This was my first time here. This is a great local spot to get your morning and noon fix. When you come in, you feel a chill vibe to it. The music's is chill and the employees are very nice, and fast at what they do. The decor reminds me of a chill 90's vibe. Now the donuts are outstanding. I definitely recommend the little gluten free donuts. They come 3 per purchase. These donuts do not have that heavy chewiness that you get from other donut shops. My kids loved the chocolate milk. It's chocolate syrup shot around a cup, and filled with milk. Now there regular donuts, are fresh and fluffy. I recommend the coconut donut. The hibiscus tea is very refreshing. They is great to have on a warm, and hot day. I will definitely come back. read more

Awesome place to visit in big bear! Lines do tend to build up but they move efficiently. Ordered breakfast burrito and their chai/cold brew hot. Burrito was hearty and tasty but the cold brew was not my favorite. Got to visit next time your in big bear! read more

Dank Donuts is in an area of Big Bear Lake that is a bit away from the village, but seems to have new real estate and a popular biking/jogging lane. I had read about Dank Donuts as I heard they had a variety of original donuts and were known for doggie donuts. We decided to stop by for donuts and coffee on our way out of town. The outside had some nostalgic seating and rides for kits such as the Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo. You can see a photo of my dog sitting on an old ski lift. While all of that is fun, it looked a bit run down. Unfortunately, when we went in, there were not many donuts to choose form at all. I was thinking that they would have a large selection with original flavors. It was a small selection, and no original flavors. They do not have any interesting coffee. It is just basic coffee or cold brew. I already knew that so I was not disappointed and chose a simple cold brew with almond milk. The dog donuts were wrapped in a cute wrapper, but I thought they would be a bit bigger with sprinkles or fun colors. Really, they were just an overpriced ($3.50) donut-shaped dog treat. I will say, they did have several vegan donuts. So, if you are vegan, they have that going for them. I chose a vegan toasted coconut donut, simply because it looked like the best choice to me. It was really fresh and had a great flavor. My husband enjoyed his Boston Creme. All in all, I was disappointed in the selection and in the doggie donuts. However, for the small variety of donuts they have, they were fresh and tasty. read more

Anything vegans and gluten free?
Yes!! A few vegan options when we were last there. Not sure about GF though! And the vegan donuts are very reasonably priced, less than $5 each.

Is the free wifi reliable for getting work done on the patio?
Yes! We have wifi for customers... It's sort of like if you were in an airport or hotel... You type in your email address in the browser and have free Wi-Fi when you are at Dank Donuts!
