Terrible customer service The guy with the beanie, Glasses and mustache; maybe owner or manager was very rude after our crepe wasn't ready after waiting 50 mins. He couldn't even say I'm sorry for the long wait and began to interrogate me and say I'm using a nice voice and he didn't want me to lecture him. What a weirdo! He even went as far as to say, let me refund you for the crepe so you guys can leave this place. Not a way for us to be treated as tourists bringing business to Big bear. If you want to wait for an hour then stand on the side of the road for a lame crepe. Nothing about this place or service is charming. read more

Cafe Crêpe serves mid-tier crêpes and coffee. I was told a 20-minute wait, and ended up waiting 45-minutes for the wrong crêpe. Also, when I told the woman taking my order that I had an allergy to nuts and sesame, she goes "nuts in the coffee?" And I said "no, in the crêpes..." and she goes "well yeah, theres cashews and almonds." And I asked, "in the crêpe batter?" And she said no. There's loads of menu items with nuts in it, if you're in the service industry you should be a tad more respectful about people asking about allergens. Saving grace was the house-made whipped cream. It's on a busy street with lots of great seating for people to wait around double the wait time for their orders. When I'm back in Big Bear, I'll skip it next time. read more

This place is a small blue building on the main road. You order from outside due to this establishment being more of a "to go" spot with no access to being inside. If you decide to eat here, they do have umbrellas and benches for you to sit on outside. For parking, there is a lot. There was a line, but it moved quickly. I ordered a savory and a sweet crepe. The sweet crepe with bananas, strawberries, and Nutella was delicious. However, the savory breakfast crepe with egg and cheese barely had any eggs and had way too much cheese. Went on a Wednesday, so not like like the other reviews with a huge line. Small, cute place with a little outdoor seating. GREAT customer service, got one thing - one of the specialty lattes: Iced Pecan Praline Latte and it was a solid 10/10, perfect sweetness and still strong, I have the energy to wrestle my kids and get some work done. Got the sierra fog and ooh la latte and both were good. The creams are amazing but the coffee was a touch watered down could be the type of oat milk they use to be fair. Still would definitely recommend as the drinks were very fun and good. Went around 11 and the wait was super short read more

I thought I was being clever by downloading DoorDash and ordering ahead of time to bypass the stupid long line. Nope. Placed order 9:12 and it says estimated pick up time 9:42. Got there 9:41 and they said it's not ready because I'm early. I asked if they got another Linda in the hopper because I'm a minute off. I showed her my phone at the window and the worker said their iPad shows 10:05. What is the point of having an estimated pick up time when you're 20 minutes off the mark? Oh, and they also ran out of strawberries so my order wouldnt be possible anyway. I ordered my coffee extra hot because I anticipated that if the order didn't work out at least my coffee wouldn't be cold when I get it. I highly recommend doing that because it's the perfect temp upon drinking now. We ordered what they had with bananas and said we'd be back 20 minutes later at 10:05 to pick up. I set my alarm, we walked around and came back 10:05. It's 10:15 and my order is nowhere in sight, except the coffee, which came without whip I had to ask for it and show my phone to prove it. They said it's going to be another 5-10 minutes. Not sure how much longer we got but I could've gone somewhere else to get what I want. Update: order was actually ready in its entirety at 10:30 so you can bank on them being off on time no matter what way you order. they clearly only have 1 crepe making machine. Which makes sense why the orders take so long. Not sure how you can run out of strawberries by 10am when your menu only offers bananas or strawberries, and strawberries don't go bad within a day. Inventory and equipment are an issue here. Not the best crepe I've had, but I can say that at places where I have had good crepes, there's an open kitchen so you can see the person making it on TWO crepe machines. It makes sense to have 2 so that you can make double orders faster (most people come as a pair not solo). Banana slices were cut for someone who has a hella big mouth, quadruple size from what I've seen in a normal crepe. Summary: Look elsewhere for breakfast. Pumpkin latte was okay. CBD shot didnt do anything for me (not their fault) and the whip cream was decent and probably the best part of the pumpkin latte drink I ordered, which isn't saying much. Again, I've had better pumpkin lattes where I can actually taste the pumpkin, unlike here. With how busy they were I wouldn't be surprised they got it wrong and I'm drinking something else entirely. Visiting for my honeymoon and wanted a place with yummy food and coffee and I must say this place is such a gem!!! The crepes were fresh and they did not hold back on the fruit and chocolate! And the signature lattes were absolutely delicious! Not to mention we brought our puppy and she LOVED their chicken and rice on the dog menu! Cafe Crepe just became my new favorite place to grab a coffee and a sweet treat from in Big Bear. I visit the mountain a couple times a year and have driven by this cute little kiosk so many times but today I needed my coffee fix and felt like trying something new. After a quick yelp search, I could just tell by the photos that the coffee was going to be good and let me tell you - it tastes even better than it looks and it already looks super yummy! For drinks I ordered a hot pumpkin patch and for my mom a mocha. When I first received my drink I was shocked but so happy with how much whipped cream it came with as seen in the pictures below. Upon first sip I could immediately tell the whipped cream was freshly made to which I did confirm that is true from the staff. The coffee was the perfect strength and the flavor was not overly sweet... it was perfection! My mom also really enjoyed her mocha which she also agreed was not overbearingly sweet. For crepes we ordered the jammin with raspberry, the strawberry fields forever, and the deja vu. It's safe to say we all throughly enjoyed our crepes and I'd recommend choosing their house made chocolate sauce over Nutella any day! While normally I would choose a savory crepe, I was in the mood for something sweet so I can't wait to come back and try those as the options all seem delicious as well. Café Crêpe was cozy!! Despite the outdoor only seating (in a cold city), this cafe was amazing. I'm still dreaming about the lavender whipped cream and the savory crepes. Everything was so good, we went 2 days in a row. It will definitely be on my list of places to visit everytime I go to Big Bear. Plenty of seating and even though it gets busy, the service is pretty upfront about wait time (20 min on a busy Sunday morning). Overall, worth the wait and the cold. Their take on the london fog is so delish! I ordered the Big Bear Fog which is earl grey tea with lavender whipped cream. It was sweet, yet fragrant with the tea. The lavender cream complimented the earl grey really well. Service was friendly and efficient. There are cute benches and umbrellas behind the small crepe shop to enjoy your drinks & crepes! My bf got a chai latte which tasted exactly like the holidays and fall! Very yummy as well, do note that it is topped with almond whipped cream so if you have a nut allergy beware. This small blue kiosk off of big bear is truly a gem among cafe's. The lavender cream is so delicate, not sugary, and lends a great touch to the coffee or early grey latte. The notes of the earl grey latte peek through in a fragrant floral and tasty honeyed sip. The crepes are also great- perfectly blended brie and prosciutto with green apple and honey. The crepe itself is not soggy and has a good consistency. As for the chocolate- they ran out of strawberry so we just had banana but it was still great. We were looking for a breakfast joint and this one caught our eye! We don't get crepe's that often so we were pretty down to try. It's like a small shack located on the street with parking in the back. There are some benches and tables behind it as well. More of a quick bite kind of joint. We wanted to get one sweet and one savory crepe, which we ended up getting a Double Cream Salmon (savory) and a Strawberry Fields Forever (sweet) crepe. It was a bit busy, so they also warned us that it would be about a 15-20 min wait for our order to be ready. Also ordered a small latte! Once we got out order, I was surprised that the small latte was actually smaller than I thought lol. It looked smaller than an average size small cup, but it was also enough for me to have. We started off with the Double Cream Salmon, this was surprisingly pretty alright. I wish there were more generous with the salmon, however, I thought the cream was a bit too much. The cream was very overpowering, so I wish it would have balanced the salmon out better. I liked how this was also easy to cut so we were able to share perfectly. However, we tried the Strawberry Fields Forever next, and I would have assumed this is a classic staple to crepe shops, but it was rather boring? I felt like it was missing something, and it was also difficult to cut and share. The sweet crepe was rather disappointing. Overall, it was nice to try. Our first day in Big Bear and we needed coffee. Cafe Crepe was close to the rented cabin, got good reviews, open when we wanted it to be (one coffee shop in the area didn't open until 10 am!) and had a variety of fun drinks on offer. Or so I thought. We piled into the car and drove down to the tiny shop, which was doing a brisk business on a cool fall morning. My husband hopped out to place our orders - drinks we'd decided on while still at the cabin, based on the pictures we'd found online - only to come sprinting back to tell me the drink I'd requested wasn't available at this location. Boo. In a pinch, I went with the Ohla Latte: pistachio and hazelnut syrups topped with almond flavored whipped cream and almond slivers. The hubs ordered a large, $6.95. He got himself a "normal" latte, large, for $5.95. The drinks were tasty, but I think the latte I got could have been perfect with just one of the nut flavors, maybe two. The combo of flavors in one cup got to be a little overpowering. Still it was a good kick of caffeine and sweet in the morning, which is exactly what I had wanted. read more

This place is GREAT! I got the Ohla latte, Black Forest latte, and the vegan crepe! The ohla latte was amazing, it's so incredibly flavorful and delicious. The Black Forest tastes exactly how you think it would taste. They absolutely nailed the flavor down. The vegan crepe was also amazing. Just a short trip from the main road, you'll find yourself at this super convenient window-cafe serving up some amazing breakfast! Be prepared to sit outside however, since there's no indoor space so if it's cold dress appropriate! The baristas were friendly and helped with their own recommendations for some of the items on the menu. The bear fog and matcha magic were perfect to sip on, and tasted wonderful (whipped cream was the cherry on top). Umm... where do I even start? The part where I wasted my precious time, my hard-earned money, or my dignity as a "foodie".... I paid $46 + tip for the privilege of waiting 1 hour and 30 minutes--just for two mediocre crepes that looked like cold tortillas and two small lattes. I did add CBD to my latte which I thought was interesting that they offer that but now I get why they offer CBD--it's their secret weapon to keep customers from losing their minds. If patience were a sport, I'd be an Olympic gold medalist after my experience here. I'd give this place a 1.2 stars, but only because I'm feeling generous--and because I didn't want to give it zero.
