I am very disgusted with the service, or lack thereof I recently received. I had a door alarm…read moresensor that fell off from where it was mounted. On September 15, 2017 at 6:06 P.M I phoned to have a technician come out to replace the sensor. I was scheduled for an appointment on September 17, 2017 between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. I wanted it done as soon as possible so I would be able to set my alarm when I left for work. I took that day off of work in anticipation of having a technician coming to my house. . At 12:30 p.m. no technician had shown up. I called to see if maybe they were running behind schedule. The young lady (Shondrea) told me that she saw that I was scheduled, but that there was no technician available, and that I should not have been scheduled on a Sunday. She advised me to call back on Monday when the local office was open. On September 18, 2017 at 9:02 a.m. I again phoned and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was asked why and explained what had happened. The young lady advised me that she would have to call the local office and have a supervisor call me back. She also told me that the next available appointment she had was not until September 23, 2017. I informed her that I did not want to go that long without having a working alarm. She told me she would have someone from the local office call me back. I have been a Protection One customer for at least 20 years and don't feel I should be treated like this. The person or persons who caused this mess need to be seriously reprimanded. I don't really feel comfortable leaving my house for an extended period of time with no alarm. (My job has me traveling out of town and returning the following day). I missed several days of work for no reason, plus I am not able to leave my house with an active alarm. I feel that I should at the least receive some type of compensation. P.S. As a follow up to this letter, I was contacted by a gentleman who identified as a supervisor in the Los Angeles office (whose name I didn't get), and was told a technician would be at my residence on September 19, 2017 between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. I told him after what I had been through that that time window was unacceptable. He placed me on hold for a while then came back on the line and told me a technician would be at my house between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. but closer to 8 a.m. as I would be the first call of the day. On September 19, 2017 at 10:10 a.m. no one had yet arrived. I phoned and spoke to Erika. I asked to speak to a supervisor. She asked my why and I explained the entire story to her. He placed me on an 11 minute hold before coming back on the line and telling me a technician was on the way. I again explained to her that what I wanted to speak to a supervisor. I was placed on hold once again, then Martha came on the line. I again explained the entire story, and was told that she saw that I scheduled for the first appointment of the day, then it was changed from between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m., then changed again to between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. She was not able to see exactly who changed it or why only saying it was done by a scheduler. Martha also told me a technician was on the way. I asked her for an e.t.a. but she was not able to give me one. At 10:45 a. m. I received a call from a technician who told me he was on his way with a 45 minute e.t.a. From all this it is clear to see that I am not a priority to Protection One after being a customer for 21 years. I guess it's time to find another home monitoring service.

after 14 years We were with the alarm company that sold to Protection 1. We moved and were told we…read morehad to start with another contract because it was not quite 3 years when we wanted to move. So we were told we had to sign another 36 months. We paid the fees to connect the service. So then, When the installer finished setting equipment he asked me to sign his work order.. The guy who sets the system up had me sign what I thought was a work order on an I-pad. or something similar. I signed and initialed on two pages. But never got a copy of anything. I asked for a copy today. They emailed me a 15 page contract I had never seen before. they told us we would have to re-sign again for another 36 month contract. Because we wanted to move back to our old house..The amount of the monthly fee would no longer be the same. Every thing was more money. They would not give me a break on anything. So buyer be-ware of what your signing. Never go with protection 1 .They are not helpful at all. The fees are in stone. Its their way or the highway and you're stuck in the middle of it All, Trapped.
