History
Established in 1960.
Daniels Recycling began in the 1960s when Paul Daniels, 15, used his paper route savings to buy a lawn mower and began mowing his neighbors’ lawns. After graduating and serving in the US Navy, Paul returned home to Orleans and revived his landscaping business. Later expanding in the 70s to include a nursery. Over the years new divisions were also added to include excavating, septic pumping, road work and land clearing.
In time, as the new divisions grew, the nursery was sold. In the mid-90s his son Steven partnered in operating a material recovery facility (commonly known as a transfer station). In the early 2000s, the businesses consolidated into the operation now known as Daniels Recycling.
