I've been a customer of Cape Cod Tree for over 20 years for my summer cottage…read more They've done spring/fall cleanups, shrub and tree plantings, stone patio, designed and planted windowboxes and planters, put in a stone patio, gravel drive and done weekly mowing during the summer season. Chris was always helpful with his recommendations and keeping budget and maintenance concerns in mind. Kirsten has done a great job with flower design, and renters have given us lots of compliments. Everything was always done at the busy early summer time of year to be sure it was all set for summer rental season. Danielle in the front office, and others are so nice and helpful too. HIghly recommend the entire team!

Chris also mentioned he could remove some trees and clean up others in the yard, which we did. All good. The next year the mowing rate went up a bit. That was fine, they still did a good job. We inquired about a more extensive project for our house, replacing some worn out timbers, putting in a new walkway and retaining wall as well as some new plantings. We were assured this was all possible and a quote would be forthcoming. After a few weeks with no estimate I contacted Kiersten who said they were just waiting for a few more estimates on their end to give us our quote, it should only be a few more days. We waited a couple more weeks, still nothing, another delay but just a few more days. At that point we figured we would never get a response, we didn't or any sort of follow up. However, they showed up promptly for fall cleanup and did a good job. The next year the mowing rate went up again, now double what it had been 2 years prior. We grudgingly agreed. We also scheduled another fall cleanup. By December when they hadn't come we were given an excuse about not having enough good weather but an assurance that when spring came they would do the cleanup. Spring arrived, no CCT&L. Called with a reminder in April, got an excuse that they were catching up on work from the fall but said they should be to us in a couple of weeks. At the beginning of May I called again and was told they would be to us by the first week in June. When the second week of June came and went we decided to do cleanup ourselves. CCT&L never showed for a cleanup we had scheduled 8 months earlier. Ridiculous. More ridiculous, they didn't mow our lawn that year, even when we had agreed to their much higher rate. To be clear, they have our CC info on file and always billed us after they had performed a service, so their failure to come to our home was not due to any payment issue on our end. They used to do a good job, but I have no idea how they stay in business any longer. They still send me emails urging me to sign up for services in a timely manner. That must be a joke.

This guy is making it so hard to pick. Looking for a service that can help us maintain and…read morerejuvenate our Centerville home. After being utterly crushed by a non-responsive company that made a come back! In the interim we hired someone recommended by a hack job handy man who is known for being a love ball but bad habit of Harry Houdini-ing when things don't suit him... Wound up with a county unionized average Joe (lovely guy but not this Joe because that guy turned out to be lazy, cut corners and not very good mowing, but I digress) - I turned to Yelp for recommendations. I wanted at least 3 quotes. In the meantime Tim Acton took over the lawn/landscape maintenance (they are the original landscapers for the property), and starting off on a better note. Very happy with them - so far - BUT after heart ache, getting quotes for work from more than one source is always recommended (particularly when they bother to SHOW UP!). Papa Joe is a super hard working guy, and delivers what he says he will. With an amazing personality and reasonable costs. Which makes decisions harder for me. So here's the deal: 1. He will be reasonable pricing. 2. He will respond, on time and communicate effectively 3. He will do what he will tell you he will. 4. Clean job and great pride in craftsmanship. So now, if I have to recommend? I am torn. Because both Tim A and Papa Joe are fantastic options. Now, lets see what the quotes for the staggered projects will look like. Because I have no doubt either will do an incredible job. I do know they both are for the long-lasting relationship.
