In a sight awesome to behold, Mike and his crew efficiently and competently removed four difficult trees from my property. Unable to simply cut them down, they applied their ample knowledge, training, and experience to systematically dismantle them in place. Armed with a modern mobile lift, equipped with a small platform, or "bucket", on the end of a very flexible folding arm having a 92 foot reach, they first sliced off all the major branches, and then, beginning near the top, they methodically cut off four foot sections of tree trunk, down to the bottom. When congestion prevented locating the lift near a tree, one of their pros simply climbed it, chainsaw in hand, and proceeded to dismember the tree on his way back down. One of the trees, a dead cherry some 40+ feet tall, with branches straddling a 6' high fence, into a neighbor's yard, presented unusual challenges since I requested its removal solely from my side of the fence. They utilized their lift again to dismantle that tree, but now with a series of astonishing maneuvers using lines, pullies, and ties to lower cut sections safely to the ground. As a retired engineer, I was quite impressed with their knowledge and application of technically complex methods and approaches to cutting and safely lowering those sections. Everything that was cut was immediately inhaled by a huge, loud chipper. And they also brought in a monster stump grinder which eliminated any trace of the tree. Aside from their obvious concern for safety at all times, and their overall professionalism, they also cleaned up the property, leaving little sign of having been here. After the winter of 2018, we had some wind damage to our home in Dennisport MA. The insurance company required us to have branches removed that were hanging over our house. I found Mike through a referral but was not able to meet him as this is a summer home and we don't live there year round. Mike was extremely professional and responsive. He works with a lot of insurance companies so he knew exactly what needed to be done. I was concerned about the outcome because I didn't really know exactly what would satisfy the insurance company while preserving as much of the trees as possible since they are beautiful shade trees. My home is also in a tightly configured lot on a dead end and I was concerned about how anyone would get the equipment on the site. I also had a stump in the yard that I figured I would ask him to grind while he was there. Mike and his crew did an amazing job and clean up. Mike Roma and his team of experts came to my home to remove a huge pine tree that had been neglected for many years and had subsequently died. It was leaning over the driveway and root system was buried in stone pave way. His team also removed other smaller trees and all the branches that were hanging over my home. I called Mike because I had a large pine tree close to the road and the utilities lines that was dead and I thought should come down. I called 2 other companies and Mike is the only one that answered very promptly and came back to give me an estimate. To my surprise Mike told me that before requesting his services I should call the utilities company because they may take down the tree for free!!!! I did and sure enough they will take the tree down. I cannot thank Mike enough for saving me all that money. I highly recommend this company. Mike Roma cleared several trees that landed in our backyard (one on the roof of our house!), the result of a devastating storm (including a nearby tornado) that passed through Harwich on July 23, 2019. We had called his office on the day of the storm and received a warm greeting from his receptionist (most tree service calls simply went to voicemail). WIthin 4 days Mike's office called us back and the next day he and his crew arrived at our property. Within several hours they had all of the trees removed. We called Mike Roma based on the recommendations of other locals and word of mouth. We had some larger trees that need pruning and some we were thinking of moving. Mike called back right away, made an appointment to come out quickly and came when he said he would. He looked at what we wanted done and honestly told us it was something we would be able to handle ourselves (unless we wanted to spend the money and hire him - which we would have). Mike and his crew have taken down several pine trees for me over the years, and his response is always phenomenal! I recently called him about a large pine tree branch that was hanging down and about to break off which was also close to the power lines along the highway. Mike said he would be happy to take care of it, but because of its proximity to the power lines, I should first contact Eversource who would remove it at no charge if they deemed it a concern for their power lines.
