Let me state that I know the cleaning business industry in that I owned a…read morelarge cleaning company that serviced top shelf organizations which included IBM, United Technologies, Carrier, Otis, Allstate, Harvard University, Aetna Insurance, General Electric, Bank of Boston and Anthem Blue Cross to name a few. The reason I have decided to write a review about Summers is that we all are very lucky to have such a high caliber cleaning organization here on Cape Cod. Summers and other cleaning companies here on the Cape have a very challenging situation to be able to provide superior cleaning services during the summer when most of us come to the Cape. Then during the " off season" they have to deliver the same level of cleaning when a significant number of us leave the Cape. To maintain that constant superior level requires being very well organized in every aspect of the business and that is not an easy task when you have such great fluctuations in the required work force to accomplish the constant level of cleaning service throughout the year ! I have used Summers Home Services for 15 years including the Pandemic Period during last year. Even with the necessary extra steps required to deliver superior services and at the same time protect the Summers employees and us, the customers, Summers moved forward with avery well organized cleaning program, once again, that caused all of us as customers to truly appreciate Summers. This fine company delivers a 5 stars plus cleaning program for me year in and year out. H.Kraus Connecticut

If you read some of the other reviews, you'll understand why. They charge $55/worker/hour, which comes to $165/hour for a crew of 3. They claim this is "roughly half" of what other companies of their caliber charge. I doubt it. After some debate, Chantelle wound up billing us 3 times what we paid when we last used Summers 5 years ago. Her crew arrived over 2 hours late. Chantelle said there was a mixup, as another client had the same first name. Yes, first name, not last name. On the plus side, her crew did a superb job. But, no, we won't be using them again.

Full disclosure ... I did not get to use use the cleaning services offered here. This review is…read morebased on my experience with the business. I was renting a co-op sort of house where we all get two weeks in the summer and are responsible for arranging our own cleaning before we leave. The people who rent the weeks before us are both cheap ... and slobs. They 'semi' clean the house themselves to save money vs. hiring someone and do a poor job. So, we never trust them to clean well. This year, more than ever, we wanted a top to bottom cleaning of the house to ensure all was good from a pandemic perspective given the slobs that rent the weeks before us, so I did a little research and called Cape Cod Cleaning Collaborative because they seemed to have the most trustworthy reviews. I spoke to the owner who returned my message promptly and asked me several questions about my needs. She mentioned that unfortunately, she isn't taking new clients this season due to a reduced work force and also, they can't clean houses as a one-off. They will do a 'deep clean' of a house at the beginning of the season and then come in for 'touch ups' but don't really do the whole 'I have the house for this week and would like it cleaned when I arrive' type of thing. If you rent a house, the home owner would likely have to have this deep clean done at the beginning of the season and then schedule subsequent cleanings for when guests leave. This wasn't our situation. I see that some reviews get a little pissy about this protocol but I have to respect it because it means they do a great job, are thorough, and don't go through the motions. If I owned a house on Cape Cod, I'd certainly use no other company but this one to clean it based on this interaction. However, the owner was great about passing on the name of the company she uses to sanitize and clean carpets in the homes she deep-cleans when she heard of my concerns about covid. She sent an email to that company's owner referring me to his business and he ended up coming in and doing a fantastic job of sanitizing the house and carpets for a great price. She didn't have to make that referral for me and did not benefit from it financially ... she was just trying to be helpful. Another reason why I would choose this business over any other business on Cape Cod, if I owned a house. Based on our initial conversation, it seems like the business owner really takes into account the needs of the customer and doesn't cut corners. I passed her name along to the person who owns the house we all split weeks at during the summer and I can only hope he will call her to arrange for cleaning going forward vs. everyone doing their own thing. Like I said, even when things didn't work out in terms of doing business together, the owner went out of her way for us and we were grateful for that. If I do end up buying a house on Cape Cod one day, this is the only company I'd call to set up cleaning.
