I had an early morning start and wanted to treat myself to a bagel. It had been awhile, and Daniel's was on my list to try. Everything was...ok. The bagel selections are limited. The cream cheese selections are limited. No toppings. Where are the bialy's I've seen mentioned? I had a plain bagel, toasted, with scallion cream cheese. The bagel was soft and chewy on the inside, good structure on the outside. But small in my opinion. You know how you can already tell an item is small through the bag? The cream cheese was basic scallion, but very runny. I've had toasted bagels before that did not make the cream cheese drip off. I'm unfortunately just not impressed with the size of the bagel for $7. When did a bagel and cream cheese become $7?! Why is a $9 bagel with cream cheese a thing?! Not a tomato, cucumber or onion in sight. Why does the cream cheese cost just as much if not more than the bagel itself? I'm experiencing sticker shock.
Two words - Rosemary bagels. They're amazing. Never had one? Me neither but I am so getting more. High quality, very chewy bagels at good prices for LA. $3.50 each or 3 for $8. Daniel's may not have the most varieties but the service is excellent, the decor charming and warm. Special thanks to the very patient, understanding employee who helped me with my first-timer questions and with paying digitally as I forgot my wallet. Their limited edition flavor is currently blueberry. I'm also curious to try their chili crisp, a customer favorite. Scallion cream cheese - LOVE the nostalgia factor, of my days living in NY with a bagel on the go. Wish the cream cheese was a little less creamy, and thicker. Then again I usually don't try to cut my bagel in half to share. Onion and Cinnamon Raisin were great. Next day, if you have any(!) the bagels taste better toasted. Huge plus are the parking spots! Catering available and now they are open 7 days a week. Win, win, win!
The bagels here are amazing. I loved the consistency of the dough, and the bagel was crispy on the outside and chewy and soft on the inside. I got an everything bagel and I was honestly pretty scared, because I've had everything bagels that were too salty in the past, but it was perfect here. The interior is very well designed, modern and clean with cute little accents everywhere. Sadly, I wasn't a fan of the cream cheese here. Got the scallion cream cheese, and it was honestly a bit watery. I would like it to be more creamy and fluffy. I suggest to probably buy the bagels here, toasted at home and maybe buy some whipped cream from the store. The whipped kind, if you prefer.
Had a friend not suggested meeting here for a late-morning snack, I'm not sure I would've even known about this place--and that would've been a shame. We met around noon on a Saturday and it was pretty empty, likely because they close at 1pm. Thankfully, they still had what we wanted (my friend snagged the last Everything bagel, much to the next person's disappointment). The staff was really helpful and patient as we made our selections. At the server's suggestion, I went with the rosemary bagel with chili crisp cream cheese, while my friend chose the Everything bagel with the same spread, along with a couple of coffees. You can tell these bagels are made in-house. They were fresh, fragrant, doughy, and chewy--everything you want in a bagel. Even after toasting, mine maintained that perfect balance of crisp and chew, perhaps helped by the generous mound of cream cheese (no complaints here). I didn't get much heat from the chili in the chili crisp cream cheese, but it was still tasty and added a fun, savory element. There are a few high-top tables inside and a small table out front. If you are with more than a couple of people, it may be better to grab these to go. There is also a small lot in front, plus plenty of street parking--just be sure to read the signs.
My girlfriend was telling me about this place as she use to get them at the farmers market. We finally went and I can say I'm a HUGE fan. They have a variety of bagel and cream cheese options. Their specialty bagel at the time was a cheese jalapeño and bagel but they were sold out already when I got there. I got the rosemary bagel with the works cream cheese. The works cream cheese was DELICIOUS. It was perfectly balanced with all the flavors of lox, scallions, chives, and more (I think). The rosemary bagel was also nice and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, rosemary wasn't overpowering too. Service was quick and friendly. He offered samples of the cream cheese to try. They sell coffee and have a large drink selection there. The inside was clean and they have a few tabletops inside for you to sit at. No public restrooms. Small private parking lot. I will be back!
Parking: there's a tiny parking lot out front. Otherwise, all the surrounding streets have free parking, spots can just a little tough to find. Experience: I came in around 8:30am on a Tuesday morning and there was only a couple people in line ahead of me and Daniel himself was there! It was really cute inside and decorated for the holidays. I got a toasted egg bagel with the chili crisp cream cheese, which was delicious! It was the perfect amount of cream cheese. All together, it cost almost $10 with tax and tip and note that they don't take cash.
A cute little hidden gem of palms! Daniel's bagels has the freshest bagels- sooo warm, chewy, toasty, and flavor filled. The seasame bagel pairs so well with the lox cream cheese! Probably some of the best bagels I have had in LA! So simple and so good
Really cute spot for bagels in West side village /Palms area. I came here on a whim after the bagel spot we normally go to was out of the way from where we were going, and it didn't disappoint. Bagels have a good texture and bite, and you can customize the level of toasted which adds a dimension to your bite (I know this isn't exclusive to this bagel shop ). I got the everything bagel with the scallion spread lightly toasted and it was nice. The spread had the right amount of flavor and complemented the bagel nicely. I'm a native Californian so my opinion on bagels is always cautious because my East coast friends say I don't know anything about bagels, but I do know what I like. Fortunately for me they also approved of Daniel's bagels!! Adding it to my bagel shop list ! The service was great with a fun and friendly greeting in the morning to get the day started right. Also this place and its decor is super cute
Best bagels! Soft, chewy and delicious. I really recommend the rosemary bagel, I've never seen that before and it was so, so good. I got it with the chili crisp cream cheese and it was a perfect match. The works cream cheese also looked great, will have to try next time. Friendly service, clean space. Parking lot is a bit small but easy to find street parking nearby.
I selfishly did not want this place to be good because there are so many good, expensive bagel places in LA already, but this place is SO! GOOD! My bagel was so fresh and warm. The bagels are so perfectly chewy without being a jaw workout and is a classic New York style. I've never had a rosemary bagel before but it adds such a comforting touch to the warm bagel, which is also slathered with a generous amount of cream cheese. The employees here are so sweet and my only gripe is the price, but I understand that things are just expensive these days. The bagel is also amazing reheated!
This was my first time trying Daniel's Bagels and I was excited after reading all the great reviews. I ordered a plain Bagel with the works. What I received was a plain Bagel with cream cheese and a few tiny pieces of Lox mixed in. No red onion, tomato, dill, capers and Lemon Zest as advertised. The bagel itself was very good! Ok I must edit this review as I didn't realize that all the toppings were mixed in with a the cream cheese. My fault that I didn't ask. I will definitely be back as the Bagels are great!

Yummy bagels! Got there early on a weekend and was the first to arrive; by the time we paid, the line started forming really quickly. Service was nice and efficient, and we got a sizable spread of bagels: rosemary, onion chocolate chip, Everything, and plain. The rosemary was incredible: salty and herbaceous, and I can see why Daniel's limits two per customer-- I would happily get more, if I could! The other bagels were tasty as well; I was especially impressed with just how fresh they were: lightly crispy and wonderfully chewy inside. Now that's what a bagel ought to taste! The spreads (lox and scallion cream cheese) were solid and complemented the bagels nicely. Overall, a great bagel spot. I approve of Daniel's!

Their Rosemary bagel is very special. It's unlike any other bagel I've had from any other bagel shop, et al. Daniel's Bagels makes a perfectly dense & chewy bagel, with a nice outer crust on the bagel's outer surface, making for an awesome juxtaposing crisp to complement the bagel's chewiness. Ambience is casual and there's always plenty of seating when I go. Staff is always kind and friendly. read more
4++ Bagel shop in the Palms area. This place is relatively new because I've lived here for a while and this location has been at least two other businesses within that time. Vibe was chill and people here were friendly when I came in. The inside is clean and the menu is streamlined. Not a lot of fuss. Just delicious bagels with cream cheese. If I recall correctly, they don't have those crazy sandwich creations that you might see other other places. But that's part of the beauty here. You come in, get some delicious bagels with a selection of a variety of delicious cream cheeses and enjoy here or take away. read more

New-ish great neighborhood bagel shop in Palms. The fresh sesame bagel was super enjoyable. I like cream cheese, but they put on too much. I wonder if they serve open-face bagels? The one downfall of this location is the parking... small lot and the streets are pretty full nearby on the weekends. read more
Excellent bagel quality and such a sweet shop. Love a little neighborhood spot. They were low on flavors by the time I cruised over. Sadly the everything bagel was way too salty for my taste. I did love the flavor of the dough and the texture was superb. Nice job on the boil and bake Daniel. $6.50 for a bagel with scallion cc is on the pricey side, but I feel like it's comparable with other places in the area. I was really into the vibe so I'd return to support and try another bagel flavor. Sesame please, I'm sure it would be much less salty. read more
Best bagels in LA!! Honestly even better than some of the shops I've had in NYC, the outside was crispy, crunchy, thick while the inside was doughy and chewy and the everything bagel was full of bursting flavor. I could tell it was freshly baked. The cream cheese was whipped to perfection. Better than Uncle Stevey's bagel which I had yesterday. I am a bagel connoisseur. I'm recommending Daniel's Bagels to everyone I know. They're so kind for throwing in an extra bagel. It made my day. I'm saving it for my flight before the airport tomorrow. read more

Never noticed Daniel's driving by before. Saw it on Yelp. Reviews looked good so I had to check it out. Arrived early on Sunday morning before the line began, easily securing a parking spot on the premises. Sat in my car listening to music. Ten minutes before opening more people started showing up. Two minutes before 8:00 I was one of nine people in line. The door was opened exactly on time. Nice clean interior. The aroma of fresh bagels is intoxicating. Simple menu, not too many choices. Chose two cinnamon raisin, one everything and one rosemary. Drove home to my own cream cheese. Nirvana. Excellent taste and texture. The chewyness is almost like Japanese mochi. In the future, I will never get less than two of the rosemary again. Nice people working there. Flawless experience. Oh, one other thing. Another reviewer mentioned about the price. And don't get me wrong, price is definitely a consideration. I paid $12 for four bagels. I know you can get bagels cheaper than that. But these were really good bagels. I did not buy the cream cheese at Daniel's because I knew I had some at home (I had just made some amazing mashed potatoes). But my point is that the bagels aren't over priced for what you're getting. Skimp on the schmear if you must. Not on the bagels. They are totally worth it. read more

Daniel's Bagels is a cute neighborhood bagel spot located in a tiny plaza in Palms. They also host a 3rd party pop up coffee/matcha business called Cute Mensch Coffee that was here when I came on a Sunday mid-morning. Parking in the plaza is very limited but as it's next to a small side street, you can also find free street parking there. My friend who took me here has mentioned they are famous for their rosemary bagels, but by approximately 10:15 AM on a Sunday, they were already sold out so do come early if that's what you're interested in. Everything bagel w/ lox spread 4/5, this was a soft, fresh, and doughy bagel. The lox spread was plentiful though I would have preferred more lox pieces inside and if the everything topping (seasoning?) adhered better to the bagel top as much of it would come sliding off once a bite was taken A Matcha Made in Heaven 5/5, one of the strongest matchas I've ever tried, though I didn't taste pistachio this wasn't any issue for me, I also loved the strawberry crème top and dried strawberries this came with. Though this is only available through Cute Mensch Coffee, I definitely hope to see them again here. UPDATE: Came back on a Friday mid-morning (approx 11 am) and rosemary bagels were in stock! I got 3 bagels for $8 (2 rosemary + 1 everything). I do think this is a bit pricy for 3 bagels but you're paying for freshly made bakery bagels at a shop so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Rosemary bagel 5/5, ok totally understand why this is popular here. This is soft and doughy like the everything but the rosemary topping just adds an extra oomph. read more

Amazing service- Daniels bagels feels like a "regular's" regular spot. I stopped by on a whim for some bagels and everyone at this shop was so welcoming! I brought back 4 bagels and all their cream cheese flavors- my favorites were the rosemary bagel and scallion cream cheese, but they were all great. They also had a seasonal hot cocoa bar that I loved. Easily the highlight of my morning! read more

My husband and I can't believe we waited so long to try Daniel's Bagels, which is just down the road from us. If you're wondering if it's worth a try, don't think twice! My husband is from NJ and his grandfather owned a legendary bakery in Rockaway. My husband had like a euphoric experience having one of Daniel's fresh, out of the oven bagels during our first visit. He said it brought him back to his childhood. The staff is very nice and the shop is very bright and clean. My one qualm is there didn't appear to be any bathrooms. Anyway, my east coast husband says this is the best bagel in LA he's ever had. I can attest their fresh bagels are sooo good. Unfortunately we eat them too fast to take photos, but I can offer a photo of one of their new cookies which are huge and not bad! read more

upsold me to add a bagel for $1 and checked my receipt, i was charged $22 when it should have been about $9 or so? came back and they fixed it for me. then got the bagel and it was rock cold. came back and asked them to toast it and add spread. they said my only options was a $6 tub but i just wanted spread on my bagel otherwise it would be plain. they almost charged me for that but i told them and they didn't. either staff is brand new for these kinds of mistakes or they're just that negligent. not returning even tho this is my neighborhood spot. read more

I recently discovered a Fabulous new bagel shop, Daniel's that will quickly become my go-to spot for gorgeous bagels! From the moment I walked in, the aroma of freshly baked bagels filled the air in this super fab space!! I decided to try their toasted everything bagel, and it did not disappoint. It was perfectly baked with a crispy exterior and a fluffy, yummy interior, loaded with a generous sprinkle of seasonings that added the perfect balance of flavors. The real star of the show, however, was the lox smear. Creamy and rich, it was infused with just the right amount of deliciousness. The combination was truly gorgeous! Daniel's cousin is a charmer, super friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The chill, modern and gorgeously decorated vibe of the shop makes it a great place to relax with a cup of coffee alongside your bagel. If you're a bagel lover, try this new spot. Their everything bagels and lox smear are hands down some of the best I've ever tasted! read more

I have driven by Daniel's bagels a few times over the last few weeks and finally decided to stop by. The shop is small and clean. Bagels selection is not huge ~8 flavors. I normally jump to the egg bagel but they did not have that as an option so I went with the tried and true everything. The bagel was chewy and light, great toast on it, and a healthy amount of rich cream cheese. $6.5 does run a bit steep for something so simple but I guess it comes with the territory. read more
