    everything bagel

The bagels here are amazing. I loved the consistency of the dough, and the bagel was crispy on the outside and chewy and soft on the inside. I got an everything bagel and I was honestly pretty scared, because I've had everything bagels that were too salty in the past, but it was perfect here. The interior is very well designed, modern and clean with cute little accents everywhere. Sadly, I wasn't a fan of the cream cheese here. Got the scallion cream cheese, and it was honestly a bit watery. I would like it to be more creamy and fluffy. I suggest to probably buy the bagels here, toasted at home and maybe buy some whipped cream from the store. The whipped kind, if you prefer.

Had a friend not suggested meeting here for a late-morning snack, I'm not sure I would've even known about this place--and that would've been a shame. We met around noon on a Saturday and it was pretty empty, likely because they close at 1pm. Thankfully, they still had what we wanted (my friend snagged the last Everything bagel, much to the next person's disappointment). The staff was really helpful and patient as we made our selections. At the server's suggestion, I went with the rosemary bagel with chili crisp cream cheese, while my friend chose the Everything bagel with the same spread, along with a couple of coffees. You can tell these bagels are made in-house. They were fresh, fragrant, doughy, and chewy--everything you want in a bagel. Even after toasting, mine maintained that perfect balance of crisp and chew, perhaps helped by the generous mound of cream cheese (no complaints here). I didn't get much heat from the chili in the chili crisp cream cheese, but it was still tasty and added a fun, savory element. There are a few high-top tables inside and a small table out front. If you are with more than a couple of people, it may be better to grab these to go. There is also a small lot in front, plus plenty of street parking--just be sure to read the signs.

My girlfriend was telling me about this place as she use to get them at the farmers market. We finally went and I can say I'm a HUGE fan. They have a variety of bagel and cream cheese options. Their specialty bagel at the time was a cheese jalapeño and bagel but they were sold out already when I got there. I got the rosemary bagel with the works cream cheese. The works cream cheese was DELICIOUS. It was perfectly balanced with all the flavors of lox, scallions, chives, and more (I think). The rosemary bagel was also nice and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, rosemary wasn't overpowering too. Service was quick and friendly. He offered samples of the cream cheese to try. They sell coffee and have a large drink selection there. The inside was clean and they have a few tabletops inside for you to sit at. No public restrooms. Small private parking lot. I will be back!

Parking: there's a tiny parking lot out front. Otherwise, all the surrounding streets have free parking, spots can just a little tough to find. Experience: I came in around 8:30am on a Tuesday morning and there was only a couple people in line ahead of me and Daniel himself was there! It was really cute inside and decorated for the holidays. I got a toasted egg bagel with the chili crisp cream cheese, which was delicious! It was the perfect amount of cream cheese. All together, it cost almost $10 with tax and tip and note that they don't take cash.

A cute little hidden gem of palms! Daniel's bagels has the freshest bagels- sooo warm, chewy, toasty, and flavor filled. The seasame bagel pairs so well with the lox cream cheese! Probably some of the best bagels I have had in LA! So simple and so good

Best bagels! Soft, chewy and delicious. I really recommend the rosemary bagel, I've never seen that before and it was so, so good. I got it with the chili crisp cream cheese and it was a perfect match. The works cream cheese also looked great, will have to try next time. Friendly service, clean space. Parking lot is a bit small but easy to find street parking nearby.

Really cute spot for bagels in West side village /Palms area. I came here on a whim after the bagel spot we normally go to was out of the way from where we were going, and it didn't disappoint. Bagels have a good texture and bite, and you can customize the level of toasted which adds a dimension to your bite (I know this isn't exclusive to this bagel shop ). I got the everything bagel with the scallion spread lightly toasted and it was nice. The spread had the right amount of flavor and complemented the bagel nicely. I'm a native Californian so my opinion on bagels is always cautious because my East coast friends say I don't know anything about bagels, but I do know what I like. Fortunately for me they also approved of Daniel's bagels!! Adding it to my bagel shop list ! The service was great with a fun and friendly greeting in the morning to get the day started right. Also this place and its decor is super cute

I selfishly did not want this place to be good because there are so many good, expensive bagel places in LA already, but this place is SO! GOOD! My bagel was so fresh and warm. The bagels are so perfectly chewy without being a jaw workout and is a classic New York style. I've never had a rosemary bagel before but it adds such a comforting touch to the warm bagel, which is also slathered with a generous amount of cream cheese. The employees here are so sweet and my only gripe is the price, but I understand that things are just expensive these days. The bagel is also amazing reheated!

The Works on a Plain Bagel

This was my first time trying Daniel's Bagels and I was excited after reading all the great reviews. I ordered a plain Bagel with the works. What I received was a plain Bagel with cream cheese and a few tiny pieces of Lox mixed in. No red onion, tomato, dill, capers and Lemon Zest as advertised. The bagel itself was very good! Ok I must edit this review as I didn't realize that all the toppings were mixed in with a the cream cheese. My fault that I didn't ask. I will definitely be back as the Bagels are great!

We stopped in today at Daniel's Bagels at 3400 Overland, where master bagel-maker Daniel Messinger, began his bagel business back in 2020. Daniel's offers fresh bagels, baked daily made with high-quality ingredients and no additives or preservatives ever! Daniel began his career baking bagels in his home kitchen trying to create a New York bagel. His bagels were so utterly perfect that baking for friends and family turned into a permanent gig with customers lining up to buy them. You can buy a single bagel or 3 plus bagel packages in flavors that rotate like plain, sesame, everything, salt, Rosemary, onion, Chocolate Chip, or Cinnamon. Schmear your bagel with yummy cream cheese- scallion, the works, plain, lox, vegan, or chili crisp. Daniel promise comfort and joy from his bagels and he definitely delivers!

Yummy bagels! Got there early on a weekend and was the first to arrive; by the time we paid, the line started forming really quickly. Service was nice and efficient, and we got a sizable spread of bagels: rosemary, onion chocolate chip, Everything, and plain. The rosemary was incredible: salty and herbaceous, and I can see why Daniel's limits two per customer-- I would happily get more, if I could! The other bagels were tasty as well; I was especially impressed with just how fresh they were: lightly crispy and wonderfully chewy inside. Now that's what a bagel ought to taste! The spreads (lox and scallion cream cheese) were solid and complemented the bagels nicely. Overall, a great bagel spot. I approve of Daniel's!

New-ish great neighborhood bagel shop in Palms. The fresh sesame bagel was super enjoyable. I like cream cheese, but they put on too much. I wonder if they serve open-face bagels? The one downfall of this location is the parking... small lot and the streets are pretty full nearby on the weekends.

Excellent bagel quality and such a sweet shop. Love a little neighborhood spot. They were low on flavors by the time I cruised over. Sadly the everything bagel was way too salty for my taste. I did love the flavor of the dough and the texture was superb. Nice job on the boil and bake Daniel. $6.50 for a bagel with scallion cc is on the pricey side, but I feel like it's comparable with other places in the area. I was really into the vibe so I'd return to support and try another bagel flavor. Sesame please, I'm sure it would be much less salty.

We almost skipped it but so thankful we added it to our first stop on our last day in SoCal. Aside from their top choice garlic stuffed bagel, we tried the LA Lox which was melt in your mouth lovely with crunch of pickled onions, cucumber, tomato and lox. Our to-go order included extras like French Toast bagel that comes with syrup. Hot drinks like cappuccino and ceremonial matcha also made it into our cart. Everything was beyond better than any bagel we've had. The hype is nothing to shrug off. Articles written about this establishment are posted around. They even have a flyer like handout that you can take that tells the story. It was a crowded place for sure. Locals were pouring in for all the.good things. Atmosphere is very casual, relaxed with high and low tables inside and plenty of patio seeding outside. Parking could be challenging. There is an underground parking area with limited parking. Aside from that, street parking is hit and miss. Ordering is managed through the touch screen available at the front. The staff is very helpful and friendly and able to answer questions. They take your name and phone number and you get a text message when your order is ready as well as staff notifying you by calling out your name. There's also a digital screen showing you that your orders in progress and what's been completed. They have complimentary water and lemon iced tea. They also give out samples of bagels for customers. Pricing is on the high side, but for the type of bagel and satisfying eats and drinks it's acceptable. We will always do our best to come to this place when possible. We wish it would expand to NorCal. Until next time we are smiling with gratitude for the experience.

The MCB shines above all the other sandwiches for me and it's our favorite breakfast in the morning. Every bagel has the right amount of chewiness that we all love. Herby mayo, hot sweet peppers had a hint of spice, pastrami was soft and not too salty, egg was fluffy. It was a good bagel sandwich. However, I don't think I'd reorder this. LATKE Crispy and savory. The sourcream and apple sauce together was delicious. Absolutely loved the apple sauce, which had a beautiful texture and sweetness that was addictive. The star was the applesauce! SALT BAGEL, EVERYTHING BAGEL, CACIO E PEPE, EVERYTHING PUMPERNICKEL BAGEL All of the untoasted bagels except the Cacio e Pepe, had a firm outer texture, a bit hard to tear apart with hands. Inside the bagels were dense, yet had a light chewy texture and not dry either. Toasted, they were even better. The outer crust was beautifully crispy and the inside bagel was soft and chewy. The beet cream cheese was delicious with all the bagels! Cacio e Pepe was soft all around, unlike the other bagels. Cacio e Pepe had a light cheese and black pepper crust. It wasn't full of cacio e pepe flavor right off the bat, but still enough to know what you're eating. If you ate only the top bagel, I think you'll get the best of this bagel. Still good all around, even toasted. I think it will be great as a bagel sandwich. Everything Pumpernickle had a good pumpernickle flavor in addition to the everything seasonings. They did not skimp on the seasonings! Every inch of that bagel was covered in seasonings! Favorite Bagels: Salt Bagel, Everything Bagel BEET CREAM CHEESE Delicious! Smooth, creamy, almost buttery! This is whipped cream cheese with roasted beet puree. Light in beet flavor, it had dill in it too. I was hesitant in getting a tub because it was on the pricier side. But it was so good, glad I got it! SEATS / AMBIANCE It had a lovely East Coast diner feel when walking in. But still, the space felt a bit cluttered. There were booths, counter seats and outdoor seats too. It was packed inside on a Wednesday lunch. Got there before noon. CUSTOMER SERVICE Overall good, friendly service. Staff was smiling and that's always a good thing! Went on a Wednesday before noon, but it was nearly packed. PARKING Horrible. Just horrible. Street parking only. There's a few spots directly in front of Belle's, but it's metered parking too and also it was full. It's parking that always makes or breaks your experience when driving to LA. After driving around to find a decent parking spot, I finally found one close to Belle's, but after parking, I realized it was a loading zone. So hurried to get my food to go and just ate in the car. Overall, I enjoyed the bagels here and would love to return for their bagels and lunch offerings.

We take our number and go sit and wait at the small blue tables outside like most everyone else. Strike one was their being out of fresh made orange juice, something that should NEVER happen at a bagel purveyor... oh, and my coffee? Was only technically that. Seriously. It tasted more like tea to the point that I questioned whether or not they in fact got my order wrong and it was that. Flavorless. (2/10) I like my salmon bagel and the ratios were pretty on point with there being maybe just a tad too much cream cheese. For $20, this was what I expected and I appreciated the quality olive oil drizzled over the quality ingredients to keep it all moist. Loved the tomato and capers. It's a big meal and half of it went home for later. (8/10) My date's bagel was a nightmare though. Thick wedge of cream cheese on a barely toasted bagel, she had to wipe half of it off just to eat it. And as for this being a "hatch cream cheese?" Like calling my brown water broth 'coffee,' I'd suggest that it only technically met up to the definition: there were 2-3 little chunks of hatch chile. Seriously. Two or three. The white cream cheese hardly had any smell or taste of hatch chile. I know as I ate the other half she took home. Dispel any fantasy you might be harboring of that cool, greenish cream cheese with real chunks of smoked hatch chiles because that doesn't exist here. (2/10) So there you have it. For close to $40 when you factor in tax and tip? This was barely a 3 star bagel experience. Order with care and intention.
