Had a friend not suggested meeting here for a late-morning snack, I'm not sure I would've even known about this place--and that would've been a shame. We met around noon on a Saturday and it was pretty empty, likely because they close at 1pm. Thankfully, they still had what we wanted (my friend snagged the last Everything bagel, much to the next person's disappointment). The staff was really helpful and patient as we made our selections. At the server's suggestion, I went with the rosemary bagel with chili crisp cream cheese, while my friend chose the Everything bagel with the same spread, along with a couple of coffees. You can tell these bagels are made in-house. They were fresh, fragrant, doughy, and chewy--everything you want in a bagel. Even after toasting, mine maintained that perfect balance of crisp and chew, perhaps helped by the generous mound of cream cheese (no complaints here). I didn't get much heat from the chili in the chili crisp cream cheese, but it was still tasty and added a fun, savory element. There are a few high-top tables inside and a small table out front. If you are with more than a couple of people, it may be better to grab these to go. There is also a small lot in front, plus plenty of street parking--just be sure to read the signs.

Parking: there's a tiny parking lot out front. Otherwise, all the surrounding streets have free parking, spots can just a little tough to find. Experience: I came in around 8:30am on a Tuesday morning and there was only a couple people in line ahead of me and Daniel himself was there! It was really cute inside and decorated for the holidays. I got a toasted egg bagel with the chili crisp cream cheese, which was delicious! It was the perfect amount of cream cheese. All together, it cost almost $10 with tax and tip and note that they don't take cash.

Best bagels! Soft, chewy and delicious. I really recommend the rosemary bagel, I've never seen that before and it was so, so good. I got it with the chili crisp cream cheese and it was a perfect match. The works cream cheese also looked great, will have to try next time. Friendly service, clean space. Parking lot is a bit small but easy to find street parking nearby.

I selfishly did not want this place to be good because there are so many good, expensive bagel places in LA already, but this place is SO! GOOD! My bagel was so fresh and warm. The bagels are so perfectly chewy without being a jaw workout and is a classic New York style. I've never had a rosemary bagel before but it adds such a comforting touch to the warm bagel, which is also slathered with a generous amount of cream cheese. The employees here are so sweet and my only gripe is the price, but I understand that things are just expensive these days. The bagel is also amazing reheated!

A cute little hidden gem of palms! Daniel's bagels has the freshest bagels- sooo warm, chewy, toasty, and flavor filled. The seasame bagel pairs so well with the lox cream cheese! Probably some of the best bagels I have had in LA! So simple and so good

This was my first time trying Daniel's Bagels and I was excited after reading all the great reviews. I ordered a plain Bagel with the works. What I received was a plain Bagel with cream cheese and a few tiny pieces of Lox mixed in. No red onion, tomato, dill, capers and Lemon Zest as advertised. The bagel itself was very good! Ok I must edit this review as I didn't realize that all the toppings were mixed in with a the cream cheese. My fault that I didn't ask. I will definitely be back as the Bagels are great!

Really cute spot for bagels in West side village /Palms area. I came here on a whim after the bagel spot we normally go to was out of the way from where we were going, and it didn't disappoint. Bagels have a good texture and bite, and you can customize the level of toasted which adds a dimension to your bite (I know this isn't exclusive to this bagel shop ). I got the everything bagel with the scallion spread lightly toasted and it was nice. The spread had the right amount of flavor and complemented the bagel nicely. I'm a native Californian so my opinion on bagels is always cautious because my East coast friends say I don't know anything about bagels, but I do know what I like. Fortunately for me they also approved of Daniel's bagels!! Adding it to my bagel shop list ! The service was great with a fun and friendly greeting in the morning to get the day started right. Also this place and its decor is super cute

We stopped in today at Daniel's Bagels at 3400 Overland, where master bagel-maker Daniel Messinger, began his bagel business back in 2020. Daniel's offers fresh bagels, baked daily made with high-quality ingredients and no additives or preservatives ever! Daniel began his career baking bagels in his home kitchen trying to create a New York bagel. His bagels were so utterly perfect that baking for friends and family turned into a permanent gig with customers lining up to buy them. You can buy a single bagel or 3 plus bagel packages in flavors that rotate like plain, sesame, everything, salt, Rosemary, onion, Chocolate Chip, or Cinnamon. Schmear your bagel with yummy cream cheese- scallion, the works, plain, lox, vegan, or chili crisp. Daniel promise comfort and joy from his bagels and he definitely delivers!

Nicely designed. Enough space behind the counter.

Never noticed Daniel's driving by before. Saw it on Yelp. Reviews looked good so I had to check it out. Arrived early on Sunday morning before the line began, easily securing a parking spot on the premises. Sat in my car listening to music. Ten minutes before opening more people started showing up. Two minutes before 8:00 I was one of nine people in line. The door was opened exactly on time. Nice clean interior. The aroma of fresh bagels is intoxicating. Simple menu, not too many choices. Chose two cinnamon raisin, one everything and one rosemary. Drove home to my own cream cheese. Nirvana. Excellent taste and texture. The chewyness is almost like Japanese mochi. In the future, I will never get less than two of the rosemary again. Nice people working there. Flawless experience. Oh, one other thing. Another reviewer mentioned about the price. And don't get me wrong, price is definitely a consideration. I paid $12 for four bagels. I know you can get bagels cheaper than that. But these were really good bagels. I did not buy the cream cheese at Daniel's because I knew I had some at home (I had just made some amazing mashed potatoes). But my point is that the bagels aren't over priced for what you're getting. Skimp on the schmear if you must. Not on the bagels. They are totally worth it.

Yummy bagels! Got there early on a weekend and was the first to arrive; by the time we paid, the line started forming really quickly. Service was nice and efficient, and we got a sizable spread of bagels: rosemary, onion chocolate chip, Everything, and plain. The rosemary was incredible: salty and herbaceous, and I can see why Daniel's limits two per customer-- I would happily get more, if I could! The other bagels were tasty as well; I was especially impressed with just how fresh they were: lightly crispy and wonderfully chewy inside. Now that's what a bagel ought to taste! The spreads (lox and scallion cream cheese) were solid and complemented the bagels nicely. Overall, a great bagel spot. I approve of Daniel's!

New-ish great neighborhood bagel shop in Palms. The fresh sesame bagel was super enjoyable. I like cream cheese, but they put on too much. I wonder if they serve open-face bagels? The one downfall of this location is the parking... small lot and the streets are pretty full nearby on the weekends.

Excellent bagel quality and such a sweet shop. Love a little neighborhood spot. They were low on flavors by the time I cruised over. Sadly the everything bagel was way too salty for my taste. I did love the flavor of the dough and the texture was superb. Nice job on the boil and bake Daniel. $6.50 for a bagel with scallion cc is on the pricey side, but I feel like it's comparable with other places in the area. I was really into the vibe so I'd return to support and try another bagel flavor. Sesame please, I'm sure it would be much less salty.

Overall the bagels are pretty good! They were busy so they only had a few flavor options. Kind of expensive for $7-$8 overall. Cute inside seating!

Its a pretty casual spot where you order at a counter or kiosk and then pick up your food when its ready. As I no longer live in LA, I, of course, had to order like 4 bagels to try. We got the signature calic, elote calic, potato bacon calic, and the bacon scallion. My eyes are always bigger than my stomach and ultimately, I just wanted a taste of them all. Sadly, I found the bagels to be a bit lackluster for the price. The garlic flavor is prominent but, as with a lot of Korean foods, there was just too much sweet for my personal tastes. I should also just recognize that bagels aren't really my thing and despite it being appealing to look at, they didn't really hit home for me. They're quite pricey at close to $10 a bagel and while filling, don't seem to have much substance (its essentially a bagel and flavored cream cheese). Am I glad I came, sure, I got to try something new and didn't have to wait in ridiculously long lines but would I return? Unlikely but again, if you're into this kind of thing, its good.

1. Another perfect Los Angeles day. Woke up and the weather outside was yanking me out of bed…read more Before I could even put my clothes on, I could feel Jess & Kora on the other side. Waiting for me. Waiting for us to get lunch at Belle's. Life was good. But what's even better than good? Great. Life was about to be great. 2. On the way in I saw a strange man outside wearing sunglasses. He looked at me. Friend or foe? I ran through a list of my options. Run. Stand my ground. Kiss. But then I realized I recognized him. This wasn't a stranger. This was a friend. 3. "Hey," I said. "Hey," he said back at me. Casey. We knew each other. I mentioned I was about to dine at Belle's and he immediately complimented the establishment. "Do you know who Harry Mack is?" I told him I didn't. "He's a freestyle rapper on tiktok. I saw him eating here once. I told him I like his videos when we were both in the bathroom." In the bathroom? Or in the line for the bathroom? I didn't follow up with any questions and left the conversation bewildered. 4. I sat down inside, waiting for Jess & Kora. We had eaten here together many times and this excited me. Nothing quite like eating lunch with your friends. The only thing better would be if you were getting massages from beautiful men and women. The thought brought a smile to my face. The kind of smile that hurts your cheeks so much that you wish pain was only temporary. 5. Jess showed up. Shortly after Kora did as well. The boys were back at it again. I looked around. I could tell everybody was aware of who we were and what we were doing. I even caught a stray look from a table of three men that was tinged with a tear. Jealous of the friendship we so effortlessly commanded. It was as if we were massaging each other's minds with our words. This is the kind of experience one can expect while in the presence of Zed C. from Yelp. The kind of experience you read online and think is fake but is actually realer than reality. The kind of experience that can only be contained with two slices of bagel. 6. From the jump, we were talking Area 51. The laughs were as plentiful as the refills on our cups of coffee (frequent!) But the happiness could only take us so far. It was only a matter of time until we began looking at the walls and the photos that covered them. Photos of people, of bagels, of everything that wasn't... us. There wasn't a photo on the wall of us. Zed C. from Yelp and Jess & Kora. I don't believe in divine justice, but we do what we can to form some level of fairness in a galaxy bent on chaos. Entropy consumes us all but... if Belle's could put a photograph of the three of us on their wall... maybe hope isn't just a false promise of what's to come. Maybe life could exceed great and become... excellent. The same tear I saw in the stranger's eye populated Jess' eye. Kora's eye. & mine as well. We shut our eyes and pretended that this moment never happened. The boys were back at it once again! 7. Our food arrived. I had ordered the ECA, the egg, cheese and avocado mash bagel. Everything. At home I only get plain because the seeds go everywhere making my kitchen into a literal hellscape. Here at Belle's? I indulge myself. So what if a seed doesn't land on the plate. They'll clean it up. They always do. It's why we keep coming back. That and the quality of the food. The ECA is encased in a god-tier bagel with the type of eggs that are so fluffy you could've sworn you bit into a cloud. Every bite is a reminder of the strength of modern civilization and the many sacrifices we make to be a part of something bigger (and tastier) than our own selves. 8. Eventually the conversation spilled over the edge and one of us waved a server down. One that we were friendly with. "How can we get our photo on the wall?" She wasn't receptive. But she offered a possibility... "We could put a mirror on the wall and you'd see yourself on the wall." Jess laughed loudly and as she left he told us, "She thinks we're stupid." & you know what? If she did we'd be okay with it. Because that's the type of guys we are. We roll with the punches and get down with the lunches. 9. I'd like to quickly respond to the review written by "S A." in which they said "This place is NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY" because they were forced to wait in line like everybody else. Because of their "hungry kids" they wanted everybody else to get behind them. Sounds like your "family" isn't RESTAURANT FRIENDLY. Maybe it's about time you got in line and learned to respect the rules of the culinary tradition known as "waiting until it's your turn". 10. I left Belle's feeling better than I did when I walked in. I was refreshed, I was quenched. I patted my belly and let out a sigh. Life was great. It was all downhill from here. Then I turned around and looked at Belle's. A reminder of what was to come. The boys would be back at it once again. I smiled a final time. This time it was permanent. I've never stopped smiling since.

It also took a little while to get my bagel and for some reason they weren't doing online orders? But the people working there were very friendly and helpful! Unfortunately, what…read morereally holds it back is the price point and the overwhelming hype--both from long lines and TikTok buzz--that doesn't quite match the experience. The scale tips more toward the downside when it comes to the bagels themselves. The toppings aren't particularly unique, or consistent, and the bagel had a noticeably firm texture that didn't stand out in a good way. What initially drew me in--and ultimately prompted this review, my first review--was the coffee. After trying 50+ coffee shops over the past 2 years alone, I can honestly say this was one of the more disappointing lattes I've had. I ordered a whole milk latte, and the best way to describe it is simply: watery. It wasn't milk-forward, not sweet, and surprisingly not even very coffee-forward. Instead, it had a slightly herbal, almost oily, burnt-bean flavor that felt diluted with water. I also ordered the carrot cake latte, which had the same base issue. The carrot cake foam helped mask it a bit, but it tasted more like a strong sugar cookie flavor than anything close to carrot cake. In the end, giving grace, perhaps it was just a "bad barista day". Overall, it's not terrible--but definitely not worth the hype or the price. *If visiting on the weekend arrive before 9:30 to beat the line if you dare.*
