I came here for a facial after raving reviews on FB. I checked out the website…read more and saw they have a variety of treatments. At the time there was a special for a well-aging facial, so I called to book. It was very easy. Youyoung, the spa's owner introduced herself and was so kind. The spa is located on the South side of the street on the second floor, above a Portugese restaurant. The stairwell up to the 2nd floor has nice touches such as stones along the staircase and smells like incense. When I entered, I was greeted by YouYoung who provided me with some slippers and brought me to the back to fill out my health forms and to talk about the treatment. The facial room was so relaxing. She had beautiful spa music, a trickling water fall, dim lighting and quiet surroundings. I was very comfortable and the bed was warm and cozy. YouYoung was very sweet and while she explained things, she didn't talk too much so that the experience was relaxing. I loved the pads that she used for cleansing. They were so soft! I was going to ask her what she used, and was surprised when I checked out she already had them on the counter to let me take home to use myself for up to 4 months! Her massage during the facial, as well as the arms, legs and shoulders was heavenly. It was the perfect amount of pressure. I find sometimes estheticians are too soft with the massages. We chatted afterwards and she told me how she studied Korean massage techniques in Korean and that's how she could tell where my stress and tension was. She really knows her stuff. The other thing I loved was that she really customizes the facial to what your skin needs at the time rather than following the same treatment for everybody. I even asked her afterwards which facial would be best now that she has seen my skin. She told me how it depends on the time of year and my skins needs, so that she will customize whenever I come. I rebooked a package of 3 facials right then and there. My face looked and felt so hydrated and refreshed for days afterwards. I can't wait to come back!

As a client, I develop relationships with people (whether it's regarding my skin, my hair, my body) but Yonyoung constant microaggressions left a sour taste in my mounth (and I am a sweetheart!). The irony is I get compliments on my skin all the time.... even better after the facial here. However, the owner's combative attitude while handling my skin means I had to find a facialist closer to me in Yorkville that charges premium but treats me with respect--a price worth paying.

Great prices, clean place, and excellent customer service!!…read more I cannot stress how reasonably priced this place is! I went in for an electrolysis treatment and it was the cheapest I have found so far! $27 for 30 mins! Excellent! The only reason this place isn't a 5/5 is because the ambiance of the clinic isn't like a spa, it's much more basic. If you're looking for a spa experience this is probably not the best place to go. It's a very basic location with necessary equipment to get the job done. However, there are no extra pluses as you would get at a (sometimes) overpriced spa. When I arrived I was greeted with a friendly and knowledgeable staff member who seemed very educated about electrolysis. During the course of my session she handled the treatment with great professionalism. This was my first electrolysis treatment at this place, and I am already anticipating great results due to the care of the staff! But, I will certainly follow up with another review as time passes to see how the results of my treatment come out! Overall a very pleasant experience, I will certainly be going again and recommending this place to friends and family!

The women that work here are highly qualified and recommend the right treatment, not just the most expensive. They don't push you to buy products either. They make recommendations and then leave it up to you to buy if you want. They are willing to provide samples as well. I don't find their products or services too pricey. They are pretty average with other spas. I am a believer in spending more for better facial products instead of drug store brands anyways. In terms of the services, they usually have specials going on, which is a great way to try them out. Other than facials, I've also had a massage, manicure and pedicure done at Ici. They were all great. The woman who did my mani/pedi did such a great job that it lasted for many weeks. The only negative is that the place is somewhat outdated in decor and ambience. They could use a reno. The beds for facials and massages are not the best (still ok) but I've seen better. The robes seem a little worn out and the pedicure chairs are old. Also, not much selection for nail polish colours. More should be added. However, I still support this place as I feel there is strong value in their advice and attention to customer satisfaction.

After two months, at the end of my last treatment, they said they forgot to charge HST (over $200) which I would have to pay immediately. I ended up paying, and it left a very bitter taste. If you do buy packages from this business, double-check to make sure the price includes HST. --Update-- The response from the business doesn't make sense and isn't true: "you purchased our Black Friday special from outside Canada" I live in Toronto, and purchased this package while in Canada. The receptionist who dealt with this issue also told me that multiple people paid a promotional price that didn't include HST. I'm disappointed that the business didn't try to make things right, instead shifting the blame when it clearly wasn't my fault, and other customers were also affected.
