First time at BikiWax and sugared by Van through an in-home service. I'm from Seattle, WA, and I'm pretty picky about my sugarists (I have an awesome Aesthetician back home). Honestly when my girlfriend recommended Van I was skeptical to say the least and thought I was going into something shady cause you know, it's in-home and crazy things happen! Upon entering her studio what I found was unexpected. Van's small business is hands down the best place in Mississauga to get waxed/sugared and I will continue going back to her whenever I visit Toronto. Here's why: 1) Safe - She is the sweetest, soft-spoken, cute, humorous individual EVEERRR omg you know all I was thinking was "I hope this person isn't a weirdo" but thank the Lord she is safe, cool, and has two cute pugs. I'm scared of dogs but they're pretty cute hehe She was pregnant when I got my sugaring so I can't wait to see her baby when I come back! 2) Clean - If equipment and room is dirty I am OUT. BUT thankfully Van has high expectations with cleanliness and comfort. Using plastic gloves, face mask, trading out waxing sticks when using hard wax, etc. Walls are clean, pinted a cute muted baby color with educational posters about sugaring and waxes. Table you lay on is clean and comfy laid out with white paper. There are seats for others guests if you bring a friend. Floors were clean and nothing was dusty. 3) Professional - This girl keeps things professional. Provides the service and doesn't push you to do anything else. 4) Knowledgeable - She creates her own wax (a more dense kind and a soft kind) which is crazy bc I don't know how she mixes it but it lessens the pain when she sugars. Seriously. I get sugared every 3-4 weeks so I know what pain is. 5) Quick, Efficient, Detailed. "Leave no hair behind," That should be her motto bc I was so satisfied with her service. This was my first time visiting this location - I needed to get a full face wax. I don't quite know why or how, but the esthetician tore a huge patch off my cheek during the wax. Maybe she was rushing? I have a wedding to go to and I'm feeling in the worst shape ever - a huge scab has developed on my face. She also spilled wax IN my hair, very careless. I paid EXTRA for a wax that's supposed to be good for sensitive skin because I didn't want to risk skin tearing. I know it's normal to have a small amount of skin tearing, but I have never had this experience before. Save your money. I paid about $80 including a tip and for a wax meant for sensitive skin. I'm also still plucking because there's still a ton of hair left. What a joke. Editing this review to add: I went BACK to the location to request a refund. I did NOT get a refund and the owner instead told me that I could get store credit - I'm sorry but who in their right mind would come back after such a bad experience. I had a wedding to attend the day after the wax, and I was mortified. I have NEVER had such an experience with waxing. The business has responded to the review basically blaming me for using "anti-aging" products. I use a Clarins moisturizer before bed - and it is not an "anti-aging cream". I'm sorry to say, the business owners are blatantly lying to you. I have NEVER seen such poor customer service, nor have I seen such a dishonest business policy. Just a note the wax that they try to sell you for "sensitive skin" - I did in fact use that! I believe the esthetician was rushing my service. You really didn't have to book me in if you were that busy. When I did go back into the store, the owner tried to sell me an intimate "brightening cream" for my private parts to use for my store credit. Are you serious? I have a scab on my face - why would you try to push an intimate cream. I have looked up the products that I redeemed for the store credit - again save your money and go ELSEWHERE. read more

I received waxing from Irena for my legs. She left certain areas raw, red, burning after the treatment. Certain areas she could not pull the wax off resulting in her trying to pull the wax covered paper of my skin multiple times, which was painful. Then she said 'I don't know why your skin reacted that way'. I think it's her job as a skin specialist to see this. I have attached photos to my review. DO NOT GO HERE read more

Finding the place was tricky at first but I eventually found it. First of all the place looks really nice, extremely clean and smells really good. The staff were all so nice and made sure you were fine. The lady who waxed me was really good and made sure i was distracted which she actually didn't have to because it was almost painless given it was my first time (not sure if it's because i have a pretty good tolerance for pain) but either way great experience and definitely coming back when it's time to get waxed again! read more

I am someone who hates going for waxes especially Brazilians. However I booked with Van just over a year ago and never turned back. Van always makes you feel comfortable and happy. She is Ultra Professional, always on time and the extremely clean. Never Ever double dips for anything and she's just a pleasure. Thank you Van for always doing an excellent job. I've tried many wax centres and none do a perfect job like Van. Oh and did I say virtually painless Brazilians? I LOVE this place and highly recommend her services. I like others didn't know what to expect going to an esthetician working out of her home, but back home in Saskatchewan I was also seeing someone with a home business. I was very pleasantly surprised to find Van, a very wonderful, soft spoken young lady with an extremely professional persona. She put my mind at ease throughout the whole process with her conversations throughout my sugaring apt. Van graduated with honours from her program and is very knowledgeable regarding what she does. She does a great job of making you feel comfortable, was quick and extremely precise leaving no hair behind. Her prices are competitive and I would highly recommend Van for your needs. read more

This person who opened this business and does at home is very unprofessional, I Have vacation next week& told her that I need an appointment so i booked 2 weeks advance , she messaged me 12:21 am on friday night saying she cant take my appointment and something came up for her.
