I was tired of pulling a comb through my overgrown hair in frustration so I went to Theo's for a hair relaxer. Theo took one look at my hair and knew exactly what to do. She recommended that I get a texturizer so that I could continue the process of transitioning into natural hair. She was incredibly gentle with my hair (and I'm pretty tender headed). When I was done, my hair looked perfectly straight and styled. She also offered to teach me how to blow dry my hair (a frustrating process for me). Over several visits to her salon, she taught me the tips and tricks necessary to efficiently blow dry my hair (for free!). This is a skill that I continue to use to this day. Overall, I recommend Theo to everyone. She can handle any type of hair or any texture. She goes above and beyond for her clients and conducts her business with integrity. Many hair cutters/colorists do not give you specific information about what they will be doing and don't listen very well, but Colleen is extremely attentive and detail oriented. The results were pretty amazing, exactly what I had wanted -- we were both super excited! And she is a peach; I've always loved the vibe of the salon and the people who work there. It's no more money than the other salons in town but much more worth it, and doesn't feel like a factory.

Salon Pure was confident, excited about my vision, and I decided that was more important than finding the best deal. With regards to cost, my appointment actually ended up being CHEAPER than I was quoted... I don't know or understand the different hair dying techniques, but Susan, my stylist, advised me to go a different route than I originally planned because it would be easier on my hair, and CHEAPER for me! The whole appointment, Susan was super transparent about when she had to mix extra bowls of bleach and how much that would cost. There were ZERO surprises about the price at the end of the visit. On to Susan... the appointment was SIX HOURS long (I have a lot of hair), and Susan was SO incredibly patient, meticulous, and consistent the whole time. I am so grateful for her!
