I have been going to Jody for years (could it be 15?!?!) and I have ALWAYS had exceptional experiences...why else would I go back?!?! In fact, since the salon has become "Jody's" and Nick (front-man extraordinaire) has been on board, the experience is even more personal and enjoyable. Without fail, Nick greets me by name as soon as I walk in. He is very concerned with giving everyone a top-notch experience from start to finish, so I completely understand if he is helping a client schedule their next appointment or explaining the function of a new product. However, it doesn't take more than a few seconds for a friendly hello and welcome. During my time at the salon, I am always offered a drink and snacks. Of course, Jody does exceptional work and she has the knack of bringing on great assistants who help her to make the experience perfect. She is real and personable...I actually enjoy the time I spend at the salon!!!! Perhaps the most impressive part of Jody's is the family-like atmosphere. They genuinely care about their customers and take a no-pressure approach. Other salons I've been to, even if just for a wedding party up-do, try to sell, sell, sell their products even when they don't really have the knowledge to recommend what will work for my hair type and lifestyle. Jody and her staff are constantly seeking education and training and it shows by their spot-on recommendations and quality work. Just the other day she tried a new styling product with me and it worked wonders so I was set to by the whole line! Instead, she recommended what she thought I needed and then Nick swooped in with samples for me to take home so I could try things out first before spending the money. Now THAT is the true mark of business owners who are concerned for their clients and quality of service rather than just making a quick buck. I went to France for four months and contemplated getting my hair cut there because it was starting to get really long but i was so afraid they were going to screw it up, because I am VERY peculiar about my hair, so I waited until I came home so Jody could do it like always. I've been getting my hair cut there for about three years now and I love them more than my previous salon which I'd gone to for about fifteen years! At my old Salon I used to always walk out feeling weird about my hair, but I had to get it cut. Jody cuts it and styles it (so i can go out afterwards without wet hair!) and I never feel awkward about walking around with my new haircut and hiding it with ponytails for days. They always have coffee and tea and little snacks for you and Nick and Jody are always so interested in talking and helping you out. Got my senior prom hairstyle done here, and I brought in a picture of something Jody wasn't sure she could do because my hair wasn't long enough. Well she made it work and it was more gorgeous than the exact style I'd shown her! I bought my mom a facial from them for her birthday one year and she absolutely loved it. Jody and Nick are just wonderful people running a really wonderful business. It's refreshing to have down to earth, nice people. I don't have a lot of money because I'm in college, but I'm willing to pay a little more than my last salon for my haircut just to support these great people and actually ENJOY getting my hair cut. read more

I've really enjoyed my experience at Jody's Salon. From a male perspective it is not uncommon to leave a Barber Shop unsatisfied with the unremarkable job that many barbers do on your hair. Likewise goes for the chain salons... Nobody listens. Too many times I've walked out with a hatchet job because it seems like they believe the more hair they cut off, the better job they are doing. The term "just a trim" does not register with that lot. I've been getting my hair cut by Laura at Jody's for quite some time and I'm always satisfied with the cut. She does a remarkable job on my hair as well as both of my kids(ages 6 & 4). Likewise, Nick is always super friendly and the kids always look forward to the candy he generously has on hand after their cuts. In addition, I never have to worry about my kids bothering other people or staff at the salon. Everyone there is very accommodating and the layout of the salon is such that the kids have space to sit near me while I get my cut. Those factors are a huge bonus since I am always there with both kids by myself. I don't often leave reviews for places I frequent but in the case of Jody's I've made the exception since they always go out of their way to accommodate me and my children. Jody's has turned what is usually a stressful ordeal for me and my kids into a pleasant time and the fact that I'm happy with the cut is icing on the cake. read more

I have been going to Jody's since the day they opened. I am more than pleased with the services and always feel better and look better than when I came in. Jody and Nick are more than accomodating when I have to reschedule. It is a friendly and "what can I do for you" atmosphere. I have been to other salons where you feel like you are just another head in a factory and I think they and their staff try very hard to please!! I have a friend who drives all the way from Browns Mills because of the great coloring job she gets and haircut. I like the idea that they recommend products and purchase them on occasion. I started going to Jody's when I asked a friend who cut and colored her hair. So glad I made that inquiry! It is virtually impossible to say enough good things about Jody's Salon! Jody is the salon owner who works together with her husband Nick as the manager. Together their top priorities are customer service and satisfaction. Whether it is to get a great new style, color, or just a trim- Jody is a true professional. She hires apprentices who do the rinsing (and give amazing head massages), a lovely manicurist and soon to be new esthetician. I really enjoyed my experience at Jody's. I was greeted personally by name when I arrived and Nick gave me a quick tour of the salon. Amenities included a coffee bar and a candy "bar"--which I indulged in. Nick even served my beverage at my seat on a silver platter! Emme was my stylist and I couldn't have been more pleased. I received a mini massage during my shampoo & conditioner--that felt great! My cut and color were beautiful and Emme even gave me some curls when I mentioned that I was going to a wedding. I bought some new Bumble & Bumble products (the same shampoo and conditioner that Emme used on me ) and both Emme and Nick provided lots of useful info & tips for the products. I've been to many salons but none that have made me feel as comfortable as Jody's Salon. Jody and Nick are two of the sweetest people I have ever met and make their customers feel like family. The products are top notch Aveda, Bumble and Bumble, Moroccan Oil, and Darphin Paris to name a few. Nick is always there with a smile and a product sample or two! I would liken a visit to Jody's Salon to a mini retreat. You are greeted by Nick, who moves through the salon checking on all the clients, lighting candles,always in the background keeping everything pleasant. I love Jody's Salon. My first experience there consisted of a Facial, Manicure, Hi-Lights, cut and blow dry. It was the first time in a salon that I was treated like a close friend of the family instead of a customer. Nick is a chipper, professional and friendly guy. Jody is just a very pleasant person who makes you feel welcome, comfortable and very talented as is her team of stylist's. They are all very good at their job.
