I went to get a pedicure at Salon Facci (recommended by a friend). I was very impressed when I got a call from the front desk informing me that the nail technician, Lana, was running 15 minutes late. One usually has to sit and wait. However, the service was abysmal. She had trouble trimming my nails (the nail clipper was not sharp) - then she barely removed dead skin from my soles/ heels. Instead, she advised me to use Burt Bee's foot cream. This is the first pedicure I had where the lady did not work on my cuticles, all she did was trim my nails, barely soap scrub, and spent less than 3 minutes in moisturizing. I came back with smudged nail polish, cracked heels, and $50 poorer. {The charge for the pedicure was $40 and I paid $10 as a tip - don't know why I paid her a generous tip}. Needless to say, I'll never visit the salon again :-( read more

I relied on the Yelp reviews and gave this hair salon a try yesterday. I had Mellisa do my color, cut and blow out. She just knew what to do with my hair, I love it and totally suits me. The color is fantastic and my hair has great movement; I have a lot, heavy hair and Melissa did great with the layers. Everyone was welcoming and friendly and the salon is very nice and clean. Jen is phenomenal. I cannot handle how talented she is. She listens to my needs and hair care routine and helps me figure out a cut that really works for me. I have had very bad experiences with hair cuts in the past. I was weary to try someone new. Jen took that worry away. It's gotten to the point where I just tell her to do whatever she wants because I know she'll make me look fabulous and give me a cut that will look good when I'm not willing to put time into styling it in the morning! I recently tried adding a little fun color to my hair and she really understood what I wanted. She also remembers my hair's tendencies and what we've done in the past. Plus she is awesome to talk to. for the amount of money you pay to have your hair done here, when you get your hair washed they should be doing A LOT better job then what they do. they barely touch your hair and the wash is horrible. definitely needs to be changed and have them do a 5 minute scalp massage. if you want good tips then do a good job!! read more

I have gotten decent cuts here in the past, and I would recommend Melissa for being pleasant doing a good job. However, Nicole is awful. She charged us $50 just to condition my 6-year old daughter's hair. Seriously!? If you charge that much for a child, you need to give the royal treatment. But she was rude and didn't even do a good job. Yes, my daughter's hair was bit tangled, but it's not very long, and it's not hard to detangle if you just add conditioner first. Nicole was visibly annoyed. She spoke to her in an irritated, condescending, mean-teacher voice, and pulled her hair too hard. She also left her with the heat on too long without checking on her. At the end she put some weird gel in her hair. It didn't look nice or feel soft at all. We had a much better experience and results at the spa at Lifetime Fitness, and I'm sure most other places would have treated my kid better and charged me less. read more

I am nervous to write this review because I am concerned I won't be able to get an appointment in the future because everyone else will discover what a little gem Salon Facci is. I've been in Princeton for 2.5 years and never realized until a few months ago that Salon Facci was less than 2 miles from my house and that it would be the perfect salon for me. When I first called to make an appointment for balayage highlights and a cut, I was shocked that they were able to get me in that week with Meghan. Perfect, I had needed to get my hair done for a while and am always so nervous because I've had some experiences with stylists who are unable to execute what I want. My consultation with Meghan went well and I appreciated that she was honest with me about what would work and not work with my hair. My highlights and cut turned out to be fabulous and natural looking. The grow out allowed me to go about 12 weeks before I felt I needed a touch up. Again I called the salon and was able to get in rather quickly. I voiced some concerns I had about color, grays,etc and Meghan again steered me in the right direction and again I was very happy with the cut and color. The pricing is very reasonable and ultimately I love the results I get. The salon is very nice and I love that it has WiFi so I can entertain myself during my 2 hour to 2.5 hour services. read more

I went for a haircut after reading good reviews. The moment I stepped in the salon, Melissa came over and suggested to go for brazilian blowout. Well, first of all, I don't mind such cross-selling, however I should receive the service that I asked for first, right? She did not cut it properly and said that I would love it after BBO. But how about giving it a little shape? Second, I went twice to the salon - once for haircut and then for BBO, both times she was in a hurry to finish the job. Did not care much while doing the job. She appeared more like a good salesperson than a hairstylist. Would not recommend it. read more

It has been years since I last went to a salon because I always end up leaving with a subpar experience. And finding a stylist that can properly care for curly hair is very difficult. So I normally cut and style my own hair, but I was looking for a more dramatic change. I wanted to dye my hair a shade of red all over and decided to take a leap of faith and book an appointment with this salon's resident deva curl "specialist." Unfortunately, I once again found myself leaving the salon massively disappointed. I understand that bleaching is the most effective way to bring out color but my hair color remained to be extremely dark even after being dyed. The color was only visible when I stood under the sunlight at very specific angles, not to mention that it seemed the color did not even take at the ends of my hair. I don't know how much of a specialist the deva curl hairstylist was because my curly was being dried under a large dryer hood which left my hair looking extremely flat and volumeless. I ended up leaving the salon with flat hair that was barely dyed and a lot less curly. And for the amount of money I paid this only served to reinforce my apprehension of hair salons. I definitely would not recommend other curly-haired individuals looking for a cut and color to go here. read more

Salon Facci isn't in the center of Princeton which is probably why it doesn't have any reviews on here. It's about 5 minutes away from where I live and probably around 10 minutes from the main hubbub of Princeton. A bonus is that it is maybe 2 minutes away from Princeton Junction, so if anyone needs a haircut right after work or right before going to the city, this is the place! The staff here are very friendly and their styles are up to date in my opinion. I've gotten my hair cut by a few others but my regular stylist is Cindi. She is very friendly and has consistently given me great haircuts for about 2 years now I think. I've also started getting my hair single-processed here and she is beyond awesome in terms of consultation and execution. Seriously, the hair color was awesome and complimented my skin tone--giving me the exact look I wanted. Since I am Asian, I have darker hair and dying it lighter colors can get risky. Basically, having an experienced person was key, unless you're looking for that bleh, orangey-red look (not a proper red either). In terms of other services, I've only ever had my hair highlighted, dyed, and cut here so I can't speak on that, but in general it's a nice salon that never seems overwhelming or rushed even if all of the chairs are filled. They offer refreshments and parking is never a problem, as it's in a shopping area. Oh, I forgot to mention that bang trims in between haircuts are free!! read more

Came here for my first time on a recommendation from a co-worker, who has been coming for 8 years. Wanted to find a new salon close to my new job - I WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE AGAIN! Very happy with this find! I've been to Melissa for balayage and cut and style have been so happy with the results. It's hard to trust a new stylist but Melissa is an expert and worked quickly to achieve the look I wanted. She understands natural looking color which is surprisingly difficult to find in a stylist. Nicole Kantorski has been my stylist for over 10 years; she's amazing! She knows my hair better than I do! The cut is always just the way I like it! I can't believe I have never noticed this salon before but so glad I found it today. It is tucked away next to a daycare in this shopping center. I got my haircut by Jen and she was awesome. She really listened to everything I was asking for, and set realistic expectations (I had brought in a picture of the cut I wanted, and she showed me where the model had highlights and the "wind" was blowing in the picture, and how that gave the cut a different look and shape.) She was extremely knowledgeable, not just in cut but also in the right products (but I never got a hard sell for anything, which was appreciated). She made sure to ask me multiple times during the cut if I was getting the look I wanted and was very responsive to feedback. I may not have been able to describe everything perfectly, but she was able to decipher what I wanted and my cut and style came out awesome. Cut and style was $45. I gave them 4 stars out of 5 for now because I want to make sure I still like my cut in a day or so or after I wash and style on my own another day - and also get the final opinion of my friends of how it looks from the back - but I love it today!!!!! read more

Wanted to love this salon because it is convenient to my home but unfortunately the young lady who cut/colored my hair must not have had much experience. While the cut was fine (a basic one length trim) she was also tasked with retouching new growth in my hair to cover some gray I had. Given my dark brown natural hair, it can be tricky not to over darken the ends and this is just what happened. She left the color on the ends too long and they are now pitch black and my roots and top two or three inches of hair are dark brown. I have a choice of either stripping out the mistake or cutting the bottom eight inches of my hair off. Really bummed about this salon experience. If you go, make sure to ask for someone with years of experience, not a newbie. read more

I am normally not the type of person who goes out of their way to write reviews, but the experience I had here was so beyond disappointing. I came in to get my hair lightened (I already had it bleached professionally 2 times within the last 6 months and I told the hair stylist this). I also told her I'd like an ombré effect, meaning I'd like to keep my roots darker to look more natural. I felt a little uncomfortable that I was not sitting in front of a mirror for half of my visit but I trusted her anyway. The end results were so horrifying. She cut 6-7 inches off my hair! To make it even worse, she cut my hair so uneven. The color of my hair was brassy orange and the ombré was not ombré, it was a straight line that abruptly went from orange to brown. I was in such shock I went home and cried, I did not argue or say much. After examining my hair more once I got home, I decided I was going to call the salon and ask for atleast some type of refund. The owner (the one who did my hair) refused to offer me any type of compensation for essentially butchering my hair. She told me I can come back for her to re-dye it. Excuse me??? The last thing I wanted was her touching my hair again. I showed several hair stylists what was done to my hair and they could not believe how a professional could have done this. I wasted $300 to have my hair destroyed when I could have probably done a better job myself. I do understand the detrimental effects of bleach, and I do understand my hair was already damaged and had box dye on it, BUT I told her this. I've never had an issue in the past with any hair stylist butchering my hair to this degree. I've had box dye on my hair in the past and have told multiple professionals this and they were able to atleast give me some results with minimal damage. Needless to say, I do not recommend this salon. I came here based off the positive reviews but the way I was treated was so beyond disappointing. The owner just kept telling me "she told me we could not predict what would happen to my hair" but I think as a salon owner and a professional that I am paying top dollar to should know how to handle bleach. Less experienced stylists have done WAY better jobs! read more
