Her opthalmologist contacted Dr. Duerksen to ask her to try to squeeze her in, and her office called me a day later to offer someone else's canceled slot the following week. In the interim, Dr. Duerksen already had contacted me directly to let me know that I could reach out to her with any questions about the procedure. Dr. Duerksen's office is comfortable and clean, and the staff is friendly. Yes, we had a bit of a wait past our appointment time to see her. But, Dr. Duerksen clearly takes her time with each patient. She built rapport, explained the procedure, made a facility recommendation (she uses more than one), and answered our questions. After mom got clearance from her primary care physician, we scheduled surgery for the next week. My mom got sick the day before surgery, so I contacted Dr. Duerksen's surgery scheduler, and she worked with me to get her back on the schedule. Right before the rescheduled surgery date, mom had another illness, and Dr. Duerksen's scheduler worked with me to get her back on the books again. Unfortunately, this illness progressed, and my mom passed before she could have the surgery. When I notified the office, the staff member I spoke to offered her sincere condolences. Then, three weeks later, right before mother's day, I received a handwritten note from Dr. Duerksen with her condolences and thoughts for me on my first Mother's Day without my mom. To her, patients and their families are more than a list of medical problems and medications. This level of professionalism was also seen while interacting with his office staff, including Patricia, Summer and Este! Communication from front desk, the office manager and Dr. Rao himself is exceptional! My results are incredible! I never could have imagined my "mommy make-over" looking this GOOD! Even with a history of breastfeeding two kids, my breasts are perky and the perfect size! Incisions are barely visible on my breasts and around the nipple. My abdominal scar is more noticeable but can be completely hidden beneath underwear or a swimsuit. I will continue to use scar tape to help the color fade over time. I went from a size 14 in jeans to a size 8. My belly went from fupa to flat and the 360 lipo helped create perfect curves! As expected, the first week involved lots of resting and small movements (with the help of my cheese pillow and a walker). Pain was manageable with RX pain meds in the beginning and then strictly Tylenol through week 4. Post-surgery, Dr. Rao would call and check in with my husband and I to be sure things were on track and I was recovering well. I am entering week 14 and my healing process continues to be going great! I had one small tear at the "T" point beneath my right breast. Dr. Rao monitored the area closely, coached me in how to change the dressing, answered all my questions and assured me it would close without needing additional sutures. All of this was true, the tear closed weeks ago, there was never any pain associated with it and there is zero additional scarring in the area. Aside from being a very common place for a tear due to pressure, I have small children and am very active. I think this may have played a role in creating the tear. I am ecstatic about my results and I am so grateful I chose Dr. Rao as my surgeon! I would recommend him and his staff over and over to others. Dr. Rao's office will be my go-to for any future procedures.

I have been a patient of Dr. Keene since 2001. I did lots of research before choosing a surgeon…read more I had a 2,000 graft FUT procedure that turned out excellent back then. You folks who think FUE is the way to go, just go research and see pics of how FUE consumes a very large donor area, whereas the FUT leaves your donor area MUCH more intact. That helped me, because years later I did another FUT to aid my condition, as my original native scalp hair continued to go away. (I didn't stay with Finasteride due to side effects). My donor scar is so minimal that my hair cutter could not find it when I asked her to look for it. It is there, just extremely fine. I'm an old guy now, and my eyebrows had gone away. I didn't like the look of bald eyebrows. Since I had only done FUT procedures, I had plenty of donor area left. So I had Dr. Keene do a small strip FUT eyebrow transplant for me on 12-5-2025, and once again, outstanding. The FUT strip is quite small for eyebrows. If you opt for eyebrow, just make sure you have practiced with an eyebrow pencil well before the procedure, as they are going to ask you to draw the shape of what you are wanting to achieve right before surgery. I am very pleased to have eyebrows again. It has been fun watching them emerge from where there had been only about 5 hairs total for both sides. One thing also....since it is regular hair that will continue growing, be prepared to trim them. I was a bit worried about that chore, but it's not a problem at all. I have come to enjoy doing it. I can trim them a little shorter, or let them get a little longer. I usually can wait a couple weeks before spending about one minute doing a touchup with a small electric trimmer. I highly recommend Dr. Keene and her staff, and am very happy I went to Tucson. I do have the convenience of living only a two hour drive away in the Phoenix area. I have a friend who consulted a Phoenix area hair restoration surgeon, and at her consult, she did not even meet the doctor. She met a non-medical salesman! She did her procedure there, and didn't even meet the surgeon until the morning of her surgery. If you consult with Dr. Keene, you will see her, not some salesman.

I highly doubt Dr. Rao even knows about the difficulties that I've had trying to get her to ask him, from my understanding, the one question in order to complete the information needed to send over the paperwork. As of today, both my husband and I had been calling for a week straight, sometimes multiple times a day to make sure that Patricia would send the information off to my insurance. Keeping in mind, at the point that I gave up, it has now been one month and six days since I went in for a consultation without ANYTHING being done by Patricia. I was truly hopeful for this to work out, but I have been pushed past any point of reason for not finding another surgeon. I consulted several plastic surgeons in my area and then considered going back to Dr. Case. I called his office to see what could be arranged; I paid in cash for these 5 years ago and have moved out of Tucson since, but I figured as a repeat patient putting her trust once again in the hands of Dr. Case, that special accommodations could be made. I never spoke with Dr. Case, I just got relays from his front desk staff (Gail is incredibly friendly, btw) but in a nutshell, Dr. Case said that my "issue" was due to 10 lbs of weight loss. After further research and getting additional doctors' opinions, I have not heard any other doctor say that 10 lbs of weight loss is enough to cause the catastrophe that is my chest as it is now. Simply put, the pockets were malpositioned and I realized this a couple years after the surgery. However when I mentioned it during an annual checkup, Dr Case attributed it to my bone structure. Another thing that I have come to dislike about Dr. Case's practice is as a 5'4" petite female, I believe that I should have been warned about the risks in going the size that I did. Years later, I suffer from severe back and neck pain, and the size is also linked to my "bottoming out". They are simply too big for my body, and I would have expected an ethical surgeon to tell me so beforehand. I was 25 when I had the surgery; I did not know it all; I trusted my surgeon implicitly. After my last conversation with Gail, it sounds like Dr. Case (if I were to give him the opportunity to fix my chest) would charge me for removal, reinsertion, and repair of the tissue that his work originally damaged. Easily at least $10k. As far as the implants themselves, they offer a great warranty for 10 years but this comes with the implants no matter where you get them done in the United States. If only Dr. Case's work came with a similar warranty. I can see very very clearly now, why it doesn't. I have now decided on a PS to correct everything at an incredibly fair price and am kicking myself for not going to that PS to begin with, 5 years ago. Ladies, I urge.. no, i BEG you to see multiple doctors before settling on just one. Dr. Case was referred to me by a friend of mine but it is very clear that one size does not fit all (no pun intended)

I had appointment for tooth extraction without sedation on 6/12/26. I had undergone 2 root canal (RC) treatments on the tooth with pain remaining after 2 months. My endodontist said I would need to have a 3rd RC (no guarantee of success) or get the tooth extracted (guaranteed success). I chose to have the tooth extracted and thus the appointment at Casas. I had a referral and also verbally explained to Dr. Prokes what I described above. She seemed confused and left the room to call my endodontist. She came back and said I didn't need any more RC treatments nor a tooth extraction. I was confused but of course happy to hear that, and subsequently left. Turns out Dr. Prokes did not speak to my endodontist, but to customer service who was uninformed. A week or so later, after my last antibiotic cycle had ended, the pain came raging back, and I found out that the tooth next to the originally infected tooth was now also infected. So I have to make the decision to extract them or more RC treatments on both teeth. Part of that decision is the cost of each option. I decided if I extracted the teeth, I wanted to have sedation. Casas said I had to come in again to discuss sedation with Dr. Prokes to get the cost, which I can't get. (My insurance requires provider to submit pre-estimate request to get quote, which takes minutes at most). I made an appointment for July 8, and was told I needed to get referral for the 2nd tooth before then. My dentist told me by email that he had submitted it to Casas on July 1, but Casas on July 3 still hadn't received it. Both my dentist and endodontist are out of the office this week due to the holiday, so I can't get another referral until Monday (my appointment is Wed.). To help with Dr. Prokes' confusion, I wrote a detailed history on all treatment, etc. associated with the 1st tooth and the diagnosis of the 2nd tooth. I explained I wasn't sure yet whether to extract 1, 2 or none of the teeth, but needed the cost info to decide. I got a call from Casas the next day on 7/3 saying Dr. Prokes said to cancel my appointment because I didn't have both referrals. Again I could get the 2nd one on Monday. Also, she wanted to talk to my dentist to make sure I needed the tooth/teeth extractions. This suggests I'm some kind of kook who wants teeth pulled out that don't need to be extracted. Note I have all of my teeth and am 61 years old. From Casas' website, it looks like there are at least 5 other oral surgeons at Casas. None of the others have had timely appointments open in 1 or 2 weeks....only Dr. Prokes has availability. Now I know why.....apparently nobody recommends her to others. I suggest you don't see Dr. Prokes, who doesn't seem to comprehend the English language nor care about her patients. I thinks it's likely that if Prokes had extracted the initial tooth when I went there for that purpose, the infection might not have spread into the 2nd tooth, costing me significant extra costs and substantial pain. How cruel that because of Prokes, I have to start over with RFQ with another facility, as I certainly won't ever go back to Casas. How hard would it have been to just give me a quotation for sedation, especially since I had already been to the facility? Certainly no harm would come of this. No treatment or tooth extraction was going to be performed on 7/8.....just discussion of sedation (and I've had sedation several times in my life) and finally telling me how much it would cost. I understand needing the referral, which I could have had re-sent on 7/6, and certainly well before any tooth extractions would be performed. It's just hard to fathom these stupid rules, and the incompetence and lack of empathy of Dr. Prokes.
