Two years ago my sister and I within three months of each other received work done by Dr Taki . I received a tummy tuck And she received a lift and reduction one of the worst I've ever seen and later had to go get implants We were highly recommended by him and trusted their judgement . Sadly Dr. Taki should no longer be able to be in practice. I have had the worst issues ever since with my stomach which ive sent numerous emails back and forth with the doctor and his nurse regarding these issues Major pain and bulging my tummy would be flat one week then absolutely bulging the next . Dr. Taki knows his stuff. He did amazing work on my nose. My main issue is that he has REALLY bad bed side manners. He is not personable, has VERY little patience and the man is clearly jaded. I can empathize to a point, you do this for years upon years, peoples concerns, questions, etc might get old. Although it might be your one million time Dr. Taki, it's our first so being worried, having a lot of question and concerns isn't a slap against your skill or knowledge. It's simply being human, it's normal AND shouldn't be shunned with "do you not listen? I all ready told you this. Do you think I don't know what I'm doing." (He said this to me after I said I was worried on the healing) again I can get to a point that must be annoying but for someone who got her FIRST surgery I'm very allowed to be worried on what's happening to my body. Personally it's so important to me moving forward to have a surgeon has good bed side manners. On the day of the surgery Dr. Taki could care less about making sure I felt okay, literally when I said I was a bit nervous he ROLLED HIS EYES. What grown man does that? Other then this big note, his facility is clean, up to date, his staff is A+. To the staff that checked me in and the anesthesiologist I wanna thank you SO MUCH. You made me feel so comfortable and SAFE. I truly appreciated it. I feel if you don't really need a Doctor who is personal or kind I think Dr. Taki is a great choice. I have been going to Dr Taki for YEARS!!! His staff is AMAZING and super friendly. Dr Taki has helped me so much with all my loose skin problems. I went from 410 to 150 over the span of 10 years and the loose skin was insane. Gents and ladies that have had extreme weight loss, know exactly what I'm talking about!! I once again reached out to Dr.Taki and his response was "I guarantee I have done more breast surgeries than any surgeon you can go to in Tucson so come back in and we can decide", his bedside manner is deplorable. His compassion for his patients does not exist, and his skill as a surgeon has deteriorated with his age, along with his morals. His office staff seem nice, but are just as judgmental and rude as he is. I can't imagine a simple implant swap required 4-5 surgeries and healing time and thousands of extra dollars over the original quoted price. I didn't trust him again so I had surgery with another surgeon, who had the best bedside manner, had compassion for my situation snd was flabbergasted at how I was left. The scar tissue and the fact that the pockets Dr. Taki created weren't even symmetrical were a shock to my surgeon, and while this surgery cost me twice as much thanks to Dr. Taki going elsewhere was the best decision I ever made. Since Dr. Taki's paperwork says nobody will be perfect that's how he gets away with doing this horrible crap to his patience. Dr Taki and his staff are amazing. The results from an open rhinoplasty exceeded my expectations, especially given the fact that he was fixing a broken nose from a few years back, it is now straight, he rebuilt the cartilage on one nostril and now both nostrils are perfect. I would highly recommend him for tip revisions, and open rhinoplasty. Went in for a consult over a year ago, and the Dr. came in and spent about 3 min. His bedside manner was awful. He did not ask me any questions of what my goals were or discuss what he would be able to do for me. He showed a pic of his daughter he operated on, told me it would cost $7,500 and left. Rude & arrogant once a problem arises after surgery. I was post op from a procedure and had a complication to which he agreed to see me early the next morning rather than me going to the emergency room that evening. He was so annoyed that he had to show up to his office early and was even more annoyed at me thinking that I arrived late. I arrived ON TIME but was sitting in the waiting room, waiting for someone to see me. I could hear him & a couple female employees talking in the back but never thought that they didn't know that there was a patient sitting in their waiting room. I originally gave 5 stars, but that was only a few days post-op. Now that I am almost 9 months I had to change my review. I am so disappointed in my results. My breast implants are not even close to being even. The pocket on my right side goes too low causing the "double bubble" look. The liposuction I had done show -very- little change. I asked him to focus on my bra rolls on my back and they were not even touched. When I went in for my 4 month check up, he only talked about a corrective surgery that he could do (that I would have to pay for all over again). And he said my liposuction didn't have the best results because I don't work out enough. I'm a very active person, even more so after my surgery. He brought in my waist a little bit but not my love handle area so it makes that area look even worse. I plan to fix my implants, but not with this doctor. I had a Tummy Tuck 3 years ago. My experience was so bad that I'll never have any type of plastic surgery again. I believe that I was given too much anesthetic which resulted in a 4 day hospital visit. After the surgery I was informed that my belly button died resulting in a 5 month infection where my belly button should have been. I bled daily from the site and my open wound and resulting infection could have been dealt with in a kinder more gentle way. Instead, he said my belly button needed fat removed in order to heal. He proceeded to stick a scalpel into my belly button. My belly button was not numb. I screamed loud enough for the patients waiting to see him, heard me. He talked to my husband who was in the room and to me he said I was in terrible physical shape even though I had lost weight and was at 145, which he suggested. What I ended up with was a wound vac for 5 months, visiting nurse home care home, a tummy tuck that was a failure and had big bills to go with it all. I also have what feels like odd shaped cysts under the skin of my tummy that need to be removed. I'm also left with a large tummy bulge that is very painful. in the future, avoid Dr Taki. read more

I had the best experience at Dr Takis office . I moved to Arizona and I'm from Hawaii . I lived in Gilbert, Az but decided to take the drive out to Tucson az. Which was a couple hour drive . I got to my appointment , staff greeted me . Everyone was so nice . It was for an consult which I was nervous about and Dr Taki came in the room took his time to go over what I wanted and what he felt would work out for me . Answered all my questions also asked my fiancé if he had any questions and answered all his question . Was not in a rush . Told me the difference in implants etc . I was so comfortable and happy with the consult I decided to schedule an appointment for my surgery . Surgery was one of the most scariest but best experiences I've ever had . Every one of his staff made me feel comfortable , I express to them I was so scared and they all made me feel better by comforting me , I got out of surgery and still everyone was so nice and made sure I had what I needed to be ready for my ride home , we drove home as we reached our drive way a phone call from Dr Taki checking on me . In 2005, I consulted with Dr. Taki but made the mistake of going to a different surgeon for a breast augmentation. Being 25 at the time, My second mistake was choosing incorrectly sized implants that ended up bottoming out with displacement. Dr. Taki did work on my sister and after consulting other surgeons in Scottsdale (where I live now) and even attempting to consult my original surgeon, I witnessed from the very beginning the passion, care, and pride Dr. Taki takes in his work and patients. I am now about a week and a half post op from my revision surgery. While all other surgeons recommended additional work, Dr. Taki's innovative and creative approaches to my circumstance not only worked wonders, but also saved me from having to undergo unnecessary procedures. Dr. Taki also did work on my sister, and I know several other people who he has done work on as well; all of them being pleased with the results. The thing I loved the most about Dr. Taki is his honesty. When I went to other surgeons, they told me that they couldn't help me with how I wanted my body to look, and they sent me away. Dr. Taki explained to me that I needed to lose weight prior to surgery and then explained in detail how he would do the procedure. ***************MUST READ REVIEW****************** PART 1 of 2 We were referred to Dr. Taki by good friends of ours. My wife had a breast augmentation done by Dr. Taki about a year ago. We went back to Dr. Taki for another surgery as we trusted he would do a good job like the last time, but were surprisingly let down this time. We wanted to discuss the pricing with the doctor after our consultation, as we were given a higher amount that was originally quoted by Dr. Taki. We spoke with Marlena following our consultation and was told the doctor added on another area (that we did not discuss nor wanted) which is why the cost increased by $1000. We requested to speak with Dr. Taki about this area since we now knew that it would cost extra, but were told that the doctor doesn't discuss fees. We explained to Marlena that it was NOT the fees we wanted to discuss more so if we decided not to do this area what would the doctors professional opinion be. Marlena replies back to say "Im concerned you think $1000 is too much for this surgery when we typically charge $2500 for an extra area" as if it was her money paying for the surgery. $1000 is not a lot of money if you are not the one paying for it. She was very unprofessional and aggressive when she came back in the room only to say the doctors price is final and if you want to go somewhere else you can. We decided to still go through with the surgery staying in Tucson for the night because we live in Phoenix. The next morning about a half hour before surgery around 8am we received a call from Dr. Bazzell who is also the anesthesiologist. Again Dr. Bazzell took a very aggressive approach when speaking with my wife and I only to say since we were questioning the doctors pricing that they would not do the surgery on my wife and we should go to another doctor, we were shocked! We explained to her the same thing we told Marlena, we were not questioning the doctors pricing, we simply just wanted to understand the extra cost as it relates to the added area, and what would our results be if we chose not to do that area. Dr. Bazzell replies back only to say the doctor added it so of course you should do it, as if again, they were paying the bill, and it was not an extra $1000. We requested to speak with the doctor since he was the one performing the surgery and were denied the opportunity yet again by Dr. Bazzell. We were left with no other option just for them to refuse doing the surgery after we paid for a night at the hotel, and were very excited to get the surgery done, only for them to call and not want to do the surgery because we wanted to discuss the extra cost for the area the doctor recommended. read more

PART 2 of 2 After leaving us with no other choice but to end the call, I politely said have a nice day and before I could complete the sentence Dr. Bazzell hung up the call. We are very disappointed with Dr. Taki and his staff to be treated in a manner of such, not only because we were returning patients, but also to make us feel that we did something wrong, when we had legitimate questions/concerns. They made us feel as if we had no room to ask additional questions and whatever the amount for surgery was we would have to pay, no questions asked. We have already spoken with other doctors who were more than willing to answer any questions, and were more detailed in their response. They provided information that Dr. Taki did not mention at all, took measurements during the consultation that Dr. Taki did NOT do, and also went into great detail on the recovery process, which was more informative than Dr. Taki response when he said to my wife "she could run a marathon afterwards if she felt like it", which was NOT recommended by any of the other doctors. Dr. Taki spent more time during the consultation talking about his marathons and how he beats and gets a better time than his daughters boyfriends than actually discussing our surgery. Although Dr. Taki's price was substantially lower than almost every doctor we met with by nearly half, it raises another concern that the job would not have been done the right way since his pricing was so low. My advice to anyone deciding to go with this doctor is spend your hard earned money with a doctor who will care enough to appreciate you as a patient not just another number. There are plenty of excellent doctors across the valley who really do care, because if he cared he would have taken the time to speak with us regarding our concerns. You will see on the first initial call, the staff is not helpful and it feels as if they are being forced to speak with you. Even if you're referred by good friends, it really pays to take more time and speak with other doctors who have actual credentials. It was definitely a blessing in disguise that they refused our business for their petty reason, because had we went through with the surgery, we truly feel the job would have been done less than satisfactory. It goes back to the old saying you get what you pay for and it's not that we weren't willing to pay more but we just needed to understand why. After all we are the ones paying the cost. read more

I went to the emergency department due to an implant rejection after a procedure. Dr. Taki was on vacation and unable to address it. I was told that I was the first rejection he has had, went through a second surgery that left me with a huge horrible scar. I was told that the scars could be easily fixed at a later time without cost however, he never contacted me and when I went for my check up was accused of gaining weight that altered the look of the procedure. read more
