Dr. Olson agreed to revise his botched cheek implants. He later refused and would not return calls or emails. Do not go to this doctor. He does not care about his patients, his work nor his reputation because he is retiring. And don't believe the positive reviews, they seem fake, They all have the same tone and most mention his wife/ nurse Mercy. Just strange. read more

They are very nice people, and the doctor looks very knowledgeable. I felt very well taken care before and during the surgery. However, my nose now looks worse than before the rhinoplasty. It looks nowhere near what he showed me it would in a picture. I'm sad and very disappointed because I don't have the money to have a revision. A Mohs surgeon inadvertently pulled down the right corner of my high arched eyebrow resulting in a flat horizonal brow with sagging under the whole right side. During the consultation I showed Dr Olsen pictures of the Mohs surgery and how this happened and asked if he could lift the right corner back up. I'd done it 100's of times over 2 years and knew it worked. He confidently said it would be simple and then chose to make a small incision above the right corner of my brow as opposed near my hairline. I was fine with that - a Small incision above the right corner of my brow. The day of the surgery (1/2/2025) I expected Dr. Olsen to sit in front of me, lift up the right corner of my brow measuring it to make sure it was symmetrical with the left one, mark it and suture. He did not. He never sat/stood in front of me. He walked to my side, briefly measured something saying he could have just eyeballed it and then, unbeknownst to me, made an inch long diagonal incision on my forehead above my brow. I'd like to point out that he had no assistant in with him during the consultation taking notes and clearly, he took none either and had no recollection of what we discussed and what he said he would do. When I got to my car and looked in the mirror, my heart sank. Nothing was corrected! The right 1/2 of my brow still sagged down, no arch, no symmetry and I had this horrid incision. What competent surgeon restoring symmetry to a patient's face eyeballs it from the side! I sat there for 20 minutes and realized the damage was done. What could I do. I did not trust him to fix this. I kept hoping it would miraculously be ok, but of course, it wasn't. Lastly - I HAD to return to the office 3 mo's later because I still had a lot of swelling under and below the incision. I met with his wife, Mercy, who had zero interest in hearing any of my concerns. (Very different demeanor than before the surgery) She immediately became defensive of her husband telling me I looked fine after the surgery -whatever that meant. Then said my left eye with the high arch brow was just "more expressive" and the right still squashed down brow just looked thicker. I used to have two expressive eyes and lifting my brow up would have stretched/thinned it out. She barely glanced at my printed 8x10 before and after pics with measurements. She poked at my swelling with her finger and tried to tell me it was just a bone. Then she said it was the scar. At that point I knew I just had to cut my losses and leave this office because sadly, my eyes were welling up and I was embarrassed that I was so emotional. I came for help and got this. It's been 6 months, and I still have residual swelling below the scar. I still have uneven brows, sagging and of course, I'm out the money. read more

I'm going to do my best to keep a long story short while expressing a great deal of appreciation. After three disappointing surgeries on my nose by a different doctor, I came to Foothills Facial Plastic Surgery for consultation. I met with Dr. Olson who was honest with me about what I could expect and financial costs involved that were reasonable, if not generous. Showing genuine concern, he presented options and helped me to understand the complexity of results I was hoping for. Providing pictures and images of my nose and what was likely possible. After considering all that he thoroughly explained, I chose to have the revision surgery which entailed a functional purpose, as well as aesthetic. Dr. Olson was able to fix my septum and transfer cartilage from my ear to the nose. Not only am I able to breathe better than ever, it looks fantastic. I had a Rhinoplasty revision done in 2022. I was not seeing much of an improvement after a month or so and I got advise from Mercy, his wife/office manager and she agreed it needed a touch up. April 2023 I went for another revision that they offered at no cost. (So kind). It's been a little over a year and I've not received one call from anyone to check to see how I was doing and never got an appointment after they took my stitches out. I was impressed the first time around but if they have a re-do which can happen then it's a different story. I felt horrible and I still do. I adored them but I know that deep down they were unhappy they had to re-do my Rhinoplasty. Also had my earlobes reduced and they had to be revised as well. Looked like the same thing six weeks later. They never took my stitches out and I never heard back from them so I had to take them out myself. Personally I think Dr Olson is good at what he does and I'm over the top happy with my nose! If it took him doing it twice he got it right the second time. I do recommend them but hope that they don't treat another client the way they have treated me. read more

Not honest or ethical, IMO. Did a consult, and was ready to do the procedure, but his staff prescribed me a drug I had told them I could not take... when advised, they sent in another prescription, good for only ONE days worth of use, absurd. Dr. Olsen got snarky about the whole thing and refused to reschedule the surgery. AVOID this guy, there are many better in town with less personality issues. read more

This is my second face-lift and what a difference Dr. Olsen made in making my experience fabulous. If there is -5 stars I would give it to this so called "doctor". I came in for a rhinoplasty and chin augmentation. I had a plant infection which Olson said it might have been Caused by a virus from the operation room. He said he'll take care of it. He then proceeded to take out my implants in his office. Upon questioning why not the hospital he said it's a small procedure that doesn't require the expenses of the hospital and took the implant out. I was in so much pain and kept screaming. The pulling of the implant with brute force caused the jaw muscle in my face to shift location and permanently causing my face to be asymmetrical. He also fractured my jaw bone by inserting a screw to keep the implant in place. The bone healed by forming a lump that is visible to the look and touch. He took me back into the operating room a couple of times to fix his mistakes but was not successful. Upon confronting him about my face and how he messed me up he sent me to his friend doctor to assess the asymmetry in my face. I asked to go to another doctor but he said I have to go the one he recommended since he is paying for it. His friend doctor said there is no asymmetry in my face and that what I'm seeing is normal. I kept visiting him Olson back but they always instruct me to come into their office through the back door not through the front. I kept having issues as my face was messed up and people would make note of the dissimilarities between my left and right side of the face. Whenever I bring it up to Olson he would say people are joking with you. I just wonder why would people see that my profiles look very different yet he and his friend doctor can not. Why is it that every barber I go to sees that yet he doesn't??! I brought this up on my last visit to his office. They took me in through the backdoor as usual. His wife Mercy received me as he had a surgery at that time. I asked that the doctor be truthful with me and just give me realistic diagnosis and not to be afraid of legal ramifications because all I want is my face to be fixed. Mercy sent me away saying that dr Olson will call me. Then they sent me a letter saying they do not wish to treat me anymore and he called me telling me to confirm that. Dr. Olson, Mercy and their team are amazing! I had a rhinoplasty done on 7/6 and, even in the recovery process, am so incredibly pleased with the results. At my post op visit today, I cried tears of joy when I saw my results. Dr. Olson did EXACTLY what he said he was going to do! Stay away from his rhino/Septoplasty surgeries! I had high hopes for Dr. Olson when I went in to get my surgery. After my initial surgery with him, not only I had even hard time breathing but my nose had a bump and a dent in it that was never there before. He told me to wait and preformed a revision in his office that made it even worse 1 year later. Last time I went in to his office, he said in order to fix his mistake he has to cut a piece of cartilage from the back of my ear to fix this. Don't trust this guy. Not only he is rude and condescending, he is INCOMPETENT at doing any rhinoplasty/ Septoplasty. I'm traumatized to get another surgery from him. I would give him ZERO stars if I could! His wife/nurse was very nice to me and that's why I agreed to a revision and tried to trust him again but what a mistake that was! Do yourself a favor and see another surgeon. read more

Dr. Olson was very professional and knowledgeable and was not pushy at all. Mercy his RN was the most sweet, caring person from beginning to end.
