Sadly Dr Eisenberg is retiring on August 31, 2023. He got me through the 1st strain of Covid, a heart attack from it and 2 stroke episodes. His knowledge is the best and he will be greatly missed. This doctor is the perfect example of the type of doctor who is more interested in his patients' pocket books than the patient himself. He is uncaring and uninterested. It may be because he's been doing what he does for over 40 years but it's definitely time for him to retired. I had to leave when I realized by not giving me certain tests that both my GP and my neurologist said he should, he was actually putting my life in danger. Stay clear of his doctor if you value your life. Also, he charges you illegal amounts. My insurance company is going after him right now. read more

Never have I actually wanted to go grab a drink with my physician until I met Dr. Eisenberg. His down-to-earth and comforting bedside manner, mixed with a sharp wit and mind, completely eased me during my recent appointment. I especially appreciated how he listened to me, making sure to answer my questions and address my needs...even after our appointment when I caught him in the hall. I can't say enough about me new Dr, Dr. Eisenberg. I recently became his patient a few months ago for my blood pressure. I had been seeing my previous Dr for 3 years who was unable to control my high blood pressure. After seeing Dr. Eisenberg, he prescribed an additional medication that brought my blood pressure down. He said he wants the numbers down even more and is still treating me . In addition he makes it extremely easy to speak to him and understand everything. He is also funny. He gives you a chance to speak and ask questions without making it seem like a rush . He listens. Walks you through anything you need in details . He has such a wonderful sense of humor. I have also experienced Mr. (a man who behaves as he does does not get the respect of being called "Dr.") Eisenberg is so horribly egomaniacal and nasty that he told me, literally: "If you don't like me you can just f*ck off.". I was dumbfounded and never went back. I had been in the hospital for arrhythmia. They put me on some very strong drugs. The pulmonary doctor treating me in the hospital said "They're going to try and put you on this medicine for months. Don't let them. It will kill your lungs. It's fine to get you under control in the hospital, but not long term." Sure enough, cardiologist Tilkien put me on the drug long term. Not to mention that every single time I needed a refill, the pharmacies refused to refill it because "You shouldn't still be taking this. We need your doctor to call us." They also had me on a blood thinner that was $100 a week. 6 months later, I told Dr. Tilkien I wanted off the drugs because I didn't need it, and they were unsafe and I couldn't afford it and he refused. He would not listen to a word I said and was very dismissive. So I went for a second opinion to Mr. Eisenberg. He was even worse. He gave me this long speech about how much education and experience he had and then closed dramatically with "I know Dr. Tilkien very well. I'm his boss. I'm the head of all cardiology here at Providence Holy Cross, and if you don't like me, you can just f*ck off." He literally said those exact words. Also, I don't know if he was lying or what, but I cannot find anything on his profiles online that says he is in any leadership position at the hospital. I would not be surprised if he made up the story to cover his friend. I should have told him off and left then and there, but I didnt. Instead I had to endure a really nasty and snotty assistant before I left. To his credit, he did give me about 50 years worth of samples of the expensive drug for free. If you want and need the best, Dr. Daniel Eisenberg is undoubtedly your man. He isn't just the funniest doctor I've ever had, he's also brilliant, compassionate, patient and full of wisdom. While my heart is fine, I struggled with weight and high blood pressure issues. The good doctor recommended eating more soup, particular vegetarian, and after a few months I've lost close to 30 pounds, my blood pressure is low, and I've never felt better. He's like Mozart as your doctor, impossibly talented, funny as hell, and always memorable. To say he is a lifesaver is an understatement, and I'm grateful I found him. Unlike the other reviewers, I have excellent experiences with Dr. Eisenberg , so I feel compelled to share a different side. He has been great with me - friendly and attentive, even when he is running behind. My appointments are generally in the afternoon, later in the day and he is usually running late( he has a booking staff, so I would take that up with them) - keep that in mind - I have heard him with other patients and he is personable and attentive. He does have a very exuberant personality, so if you are used to a very stern or emotionless Dr. he probably is not the choice for you. I like that he keeps things light. I had an unfortunate experience today with Dr. Eisenberg while attending a visit with my patient. Dr. Eisenberg dismissed me when I spoke up about a symptom my patient was having saying "I will make that determination." I am a private duty RN so was at the visit in plain clothes and looking at my phone when I spoke up. Instead of Dr. Eisenberg asking who I was he snapped at me about how he would "make the determination" as I was talking to him in medical terms. I was completely shocked at his response but knowing how MDs can act I let it go. (I am an ICU nurse and have dealt with many surgeons and their egos). He then went on to ask my patient questions and I again spoke up to add that my patient had other underlying issues he might need to know about. He again snaps at me again and says "I have that information already. I already know that". I then say "well considering your chart on him had 5 missing meds he is now on I wanted to make sure all information was clear and correct". He became very quiet. He then asks my client a question and my client asked him to clarify and his response to his and my patient was "why don't you ask your daughter". I say "I am not his daughter". He says to my client "your wife?". I say "nope I'm not his wife either. I am his nurse." He then looks up from the computer and asks what type of nurse, what agency and why didn't I say I was a nurse in the beginning? I then tell him "im speaking to you in medical terms. Im not sure why you didn't pick up on that". I am also thinking to myself is this how he acts towards his patients or anyone who comes in to help as a family member? And why do I need to make it known I have a medical background for you to respect what I am saying about someone I am in this visit with? To say the least this was not a pleasant experience. He apologized after the visit and said in so many words I didn't know we were on the same team being medical professionals and basically had he'd of known he would have reacted better. The most unprofessional nightmare of a doctor I have met. I have never ever seen a doctor who did not render an opinion while I was in the room. I still dont know if I am ok, but he loves to type notes in his computer. I asked if I could talk to him in private and with a smug attitude his response was "we can talk here", mind you we were in the reception area. Stay away from this so called doctor. read more

I walked out of his office today after sitting in one of the examination rooms for 1 hour and fifteen minutes without anyone poking there head in my room once to say anything. Upon exiting I saw the nurse and told her how long I had waited and did not want to wait any longer and left. The same thing happened last time. I had so much I needed to get done today personally and waisted 2 hours of my time with traveling and waiting. I've requested to be referred to another doctor from my primary. Arrogant doctor! I was asked to see a cardiologist by my regular doctor due to a certain test result. I had never seen a cardiologist before, and so picked one at random, just based on the fact that he was close to St Joseph's medical center. After having my blood pressure taken, and an ekg (also a first) from a very sweet and friendly you guy, I settled down to wait, having read a few Yelp reviews and figuring it might be a while. I waited almost an hour... and it was boring and I was getting a little tiny bit impatient. But then the door opened and a friendly doctor walked in and said "Hi! You must be new. I'm Dan!" I was delighted, and a little surprised, at his comfort and openness, and genuine friendliness. Turns out he speaks fluent German, and so do I, so in no time we were doing our exam in two languages. He was funny, kind and took his time with me, answering all of my questions very patiently, and looking at me while he did it. Now I know why everyone has to wait. Because he's doing what every doctor should do, but can't, or won't. He's taking his time and treating his patients like human beings. And he probably has to schedule in 3 or 4 patients an hour due to quotas, or whatever, but he doesn't let that affect his demeanor and treats you like you're the only one there. He is a very busy Dr. and often runs late but he is terrific! He stays on top of my condition, is super knowledgeable, is very attentive and I feel like he really cares. He also has a great sense of humor which make the visits more enjoyable. I highly recommend him. read more

I gotta say, I have NEVER, EVER been treated so poorly in my life. He was joking around the office to look cool I guess, but he isn't cool. He did everything a cardiologist should not do to a potential client; he was inattentive, was dismissive, would not look at me, and pretty much raised his voice at me to make sure his staff heard him re-framing what happened. The truth is his staff saw what happened, he was rude and contradictory right in front of them. They looked at each other and apologized for him. And then he charged an obscene amount to tell me nothing. In his defense it was Friday, he must of had a bad case of TGIF. I was talking to a friend of mine after this incident, who said he was assigned this same Dr., but he looked up his reviews online and so he begged his primary care guy to switch him with another guy, Dr. Sato who I hear is good. I wish I had known that. Never again will I visit a Doc without reading reviews first. read more
