I got these chocolates as a gift and absolutely loved them! The bon bons were so pretty and the unique twists with the Asian influences truly added so much depth to each chocolate. Amazing for a treat for yourself or as a gift to a loved one!

Beautiful chocolates, in all sorts of unique flavors like: pandan, ube, toasted brown rice, oolong tea, black sesame, Philippine coffee, caramelized banana. A great place to buy gifts for the holidays. They sell cookies, but tend to sell out earlier in the day. They also sell lattes, matcha, ube cold brew, hot chocolate, espresso, and water.

Daniel Corpuz is a tiny shop in Chinatown that creates some amazing Chocolate. I'm on a quest to find the best Chocolate in NYC and I'm putting DC near the top. I purchased twelve mini creation's for $52. I have tasted three, and all three were fabulous. I am particularly impressed with the Black Sesame.

My favorite chocolates in New York City are out in Chinatown in Manhattan. The Filipino and Asian inspired favors are unique and delicious. The service was top notch as well as they recommended me the most incredible flavors. Also, try the hot chocolate! It's so rich and creamy. You can enjoy your treat inside but there aren't a lot do tables, but you can always cross the street into the park to enjoy it there!

The catchiness of beautiful chocolate art work on IG and me planning to come to NYC brought me to plan a stop here. The staff understood my requests of things that came in packaging besides the boxes they typically offer. I was thinking of getting 14 instead of 12 chocolates is why I asked but I am not sure if they understood that. Sorry if I made you unintentionally feel like I was gonna try to run off with some chocolates. If I thought of it, I would've offered my bag, driver's license, and credit card as collateral to hold on to. You can see by my profile pics that I probably couldn't hide if I wanted to. But I would not expect you to know me either. At the last minute, I decided to get a new friend a box of chocolates and then share a bigger box with a relative except I don't know when I will actually see him lolol. I also got an Ube cookie, yuzu cookie, they were out of macaroons, and I got a sweet latte w oat milk. All delicious! I also got a chance to learn that the chocolates take 3 days to make. It helps me appreciate the hard work and craftsmanship in this shop and how exquisite chocolate lovers must be happy to have this place recently reopen in NYC very fittingly in Chinatown, Manhattan's I believe (as opposed to Flushing.) The chocolates I had were all very flavorful. I could see how maybe it would be hard to make these chocolates flavorful enough like a former reviewer mentioned but since we're paying a premium-ish price for refined chocolates, that flavor factor is very important. With the ones I got, Daniel Corpuz did them well. I got a free "mistake" chocolate for buying so much. I encourage Daniel Corpuz Chocolatier to consider TooGoodToGo for your "mistakes" too . Then some of the locals might encourage you to keep making those "'mistakes ". The flavor on this one was not as strong as it should have been and hence the mistake for this one. I got sea salt caramel, yuzu cinnamon, pandas, kalamansi, barley tea, and Philippine Coffee I think.

New location rules! Canal St Market was good, but they now have their own space with an expanded menu (including coffee drinks) and cafe seating. I visited in April and got an ube cookie (excellent as always), plus the following bonbons: + passionfruit + roasted black sesame + macadamia crunch + ube Passionfruit and ube, longtime favorites of mine, were both still amazing. Macadamia crunch was new to me - also really liked that one. Only one I didn't care for was the black sesame. Will be back for the ube mocha drink, yuzu snickerdoodle cookie, and kalamansi meringue tart!

I wanted to try this place since it was opened. It is a small Filipino inspired chocolate store. I purchased 2 6 piece box of chocolates. The chocolates were beautiful and they have a range of flavors from Oolong tea to Ube. I had a hard time deciding which ones to buy. I tried them when I got home and they were yummy. My favorite was Passion Fruit. I gave the other box to my sister as a gift and she also enjoyed them. I will definetly come back to purchase them as gifts.

Excellent and delicious artisan chocolate with Filipino and Asian flavors and beyond! While this spot offers over 30 flavors of chocolate bonbons, I tried and gifted their Chef's Favorites and Team Favorites Boxes of bonbons. Both have natural ingredients you can taste like kalamansi, ube, yuzu Saigon cinnamon, black sesame, guava, roasted corn, and vanilla hazelnut. Each bonbon was really pretty with balanced and explosive flavors. I ordered a bunch of boxes for pick up and was lucky enough to meet the owner- Daniel Corpuz who was super friendly, down-to-earth, and gracious. He gave me complimentary caramel truffles and extra gift bags for each box I bought. A real treat start to finish! NOTES/TIPS: **You can order via their website (https://www.danielcorpuz.com/s/shop) and choose pick-up or mail delivery. **They're located at on Canal St. in Canal Street Market- an indoor plaza (Dec. 2024). They may move in the new year.

Delicious chocolates, so glad I stopped in to pick up a box to share with my friends! I am a huge fan of the Asian forward flavors and my personal favorites were the Strawberry Matcha Tea, Pandan, Passion Fruit, Hojicha Tea, and the Ube. Honestly, I could eat the Pandan and the Ube all day long! The store was very cute, a few small tables inside, glass windows to let in the natural light. Daniel was there when I went in and he was very friendly and chatted with us as we decided what we wanted to order. I know that artisanal chocolates can be expensive, but I really think that treating yourself sometimes is important, and that these chocolates were definitely worth it!

Stopped in to get some beautiful chocolate. They are very friendly and happy to tell you all about the chocolate process & the different chocolates. It's a small space, very clean, with a few tables to sit and enjoy. Their chocolate flavors are different & delicious. It's a beautiful gift to someone or a treat for yourself. The chocolate itself is smooth and the filling combos pair so nicely. My top favorites were the Passionfruit, Ube & Hojicha tea.

Staff was very kind, sociable and helpful. Always great to see Daniel continue to build! Bonbons are DELICIOUS as usual- especially my favorite, Cinnamon Yuzu. Friendly, social refreshing vibe. Definitely returning!

Cute little shop in Chinatown! It's clean and the workers were super nice. I love Filipino flavors for desserts especially Ube and kalamansi. The bon bons were decadent and rich but not too sweet. The Ube cookie I wish I had fresh but taking it home and just microwaving it was not the same experience. It is a little bit expensive but the quality is amazing so it's a nice treat if you like Filipino flavors.

Kalamansi confection? Hojicha Tea bonbon? How about one of Philippine coffee? These and more are several of the chocolate offerings Daniel Corpuz has in his newly opened chocolatier. Inaugurated yesterday and located on Mulberry Street, opposite a large garden, this pretty chocolatier and cafe is sure to please. Age and I went there today to sample and meet the Chef who we have known from the chocolate circles. A selection of coffee drinks and three types of cookies are available. A delicious chocolate ice cream was made for this warm day. Age and I both had the ice cream which was delicious and we enjoyed talking to Chef Daniel. Naturally we bought chocolates and cookies.

My fiancé and I had a lot of fun looking at all of the choices they had. There were some regular flavors like Milk Chocolate, White Chocolate but there were also some fun flavors like Pumpkin Spice, Milk Chocolate Sea Salt. On top of all of this, there is an option of prepackaged Lindt chocolates as well as different chocolate barks by the entrance. Definitely a fun thing to do with your friends as well!

They're also across the street from a flagship Ghirardelli store, which they also own, if you aren't aware. In general, I find Lindt too sweet, but that is also coming from someone who is a dark chocolate lover. For this location specifically, the staff here are friendly and give samples, which is a plus. Anyway, if you're wondering why you'd want to stop here instead of just going to the literal CVS around the corner which sells their products, you can customize stuff better here, and there are many more options. Along with the standard truffles they are famous for, there are flavors available only at this location, as well as seasonal ones. Some current ones include shortbread, made with milk chocolate, as well as a snickerdoodle, which I didn't realize was made with white chocolate, or else I wouldn't have purchased that one (it was still tasty,) and others. The truffles are around 62¢ post-tax for a single one, so it's a little cheap and tasty treat. Outside of truffles, there are bars, some fancier chocolates, and bark, among many other things. Of course, there's a Dubai option like every other chocolatier in case you want to purchase a cheapo version here. Obviously, the chocolates in general are not as high-quality as Läderach, Li-Lac, and other spots, but they are at very different price points, so that's to be expected. The latter spots are more artisanal, while this is a step up from Hershey's "chalk-olate" and other cheaper brands. If you're looking to buy a gift without paying an exorbitant price but still want a step up from Hershey's or similar places, I would recommend going here.

The great reviews and overall rating along with the fact they had an emphasis on sour beers (my wife's favorite style of beer) made it a no brainer. Also as you have likely seen they are a women-owned operation so another positive. We did mistakingly walk by it at first but quickly found it. It's a beautifully designed space and more unique than your typical brewery space. Also speaking of they have lots of drinks other than beers, including wines, ciders, cocktails, coffee and a couple NA beers. Due to the impending storm they were closing early but my wife and I each got a beer. I got their New England IPA called Sun Up which was citrusy and juicy with a touch of bitterness/hoppy notes. Then my wife got their fruited sour Peach Berry Punch that definitely had a punch of pink guava and peach but the berry was more subtle. Two great beers with plenty of other styles available too. Service was friendly with a smile and took no time to get our beers. Such a positive experience we plan on returning to give their cocktails a try! An absolute must visit for beer lovers who find themselves near Bryant Park! (Also non-beer lovers since they offer so much more too.)

That said, my personal favorite is the Anastasia, a hazelnut and dark praline enrobed in dark chocolate. It is exquisite. Service is always excellent. I've ordered in person and over the phone, and have always been so pleased with the staff. The website is helpful when ordering a variety, but if you'd like an entire box of Anastasia, for example, you have to call the Rockefeller Center store and place the order by phone. They ship once a week, and I always have my box fairly quickly. Boxes make terrific gifts ... including for yourself. If you're walking in, I recommend sitting down to enjoy a few pieces of chocolate, then taking the rest in a box with you. There is a cozy but comfortable seating area in the back just for this. This area is also an ideal place to enjoy some of their drinking chocolate. Highly, highly recommend.
