I appreciated the selection of local beers on draft too. Found prices to be very reasonable these days. Next, the sides are out of this world. The green beans and collard greens really compete with the best Grammy homemade ones. Mac and cheese, hush puppies, and chicken tenders were on point. I thought the portion sizes were good for $3 sides. I had the ahí tacos and a side of brisket. lol. I wanted to try the brisket! The tacos has a nice flavor with an excellent sauce but the tuna was unseasoned. The biggest issue is the taco sat in juices from the toppings and became soggy quickly. A little easier on the toppings and it would be a really good dish. The brisket. Man if you hype up your bbq it better be on point. It was not. Crazy crazy dry and not really tender either. I got the flavor they intended with the oak smoke but that was really poorly cooked brisket. If you can find a good main dish everything else is lined up for a great meal. Maybe make a meal of the sides? :)

Only knock, instead of chips and salsa, they serve you Chicharrones De Harina (aka Duritos). Was not a fan. The fajitas and tacos were amazing. Some of the best I have ever had. The food was out of this world it actually tasted like someone's abeulita was back there. The queso was smoky and rich, the chicken was tender, and the carnitas were divine. The service was....fine. Pretty much what you'd expect from a place connected to a store. We never got water refills, we had to go up to the counter to remind her we needed to pay, and we initially didn't get our chips and dip. Overall this will not deter us from coming back but we will know going forward the food is the main event, not necessarily the aesthetic or the service.

Fortunately, this outlying location is only a 15 minute drive or so away, which deprived me of peak freshness. However, this mishap did not deprive me of quality food. My lentils and spinach were hearty and spicy, my samosa chaat was gigantic, and the bread I got to mop up the lentils had a pleasing herbal aroma. They had abundant options and I would be happy to go back and try the one in Staunton. This location is in a more banal strip mall but was doing good business and was open on a holiday.

They had quite a bit of seafood, mainly shrimp, and the fake crab dishes. They did have oysters and also muscles. These are my particular favorite. They did have a couple of actual roles that had fish in them like spicy tuna, etc.. if you're going there for a large sushi selection, this is not the place to go. It was very good. The issue I had and sorry to tell the story, but there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. Lucky for me, I'd rather pee by a tree than use a porta John, I have no issue with that when im hiking! But this is a restaurant and I expect toilet paper. Walking into the bathroom, it was tight. Like, smaller than a broom closet. No problem, but there was no toilet paper, also again lucky for me, there was a paper towel machine I could reach from the seat, in this very tiny spot. I waved my hand and paper towels came out. I went to wash my hands and the sink nearly came out of the wall. No exaggeration. I would eat here again, but probably use gas stations bathroom first and bring hand sanitizer.
