Silk Road is a spacious restaurant with friendly service and tasty food. I had the Thai Basil Seafood dish that comes with a brown sauce (like gravy). My seafood was mostly shrimp and scallops. I didn't really notice the basil flavor but I enjoyed the fresh broccoli with the dish. My dining partner had the Mixed Vegetables with Chicken. There were lots vegetables, with the well-prepared thin slices of chicken breast, in a darker brown and thinner sauce. Both dishes were ordered with "mild" heat seasoning. Oh my!!! We ordered takeout, got home, and the orders were completely wrong! The manager was very polite and told us we could come back in another day with no issue. We decided to go there for lunch this week. The young guy server messed up our main order, never put the appetizer in then still wanted to charge us, we had to go to the bar to get boxes, and to top it off, when we got to the car to open our fortune cookies, they were empty. In from out of town, tried Silk Road. It was excellent. Very nice atmosphere. I had the Happy Family, it was served in a hot pot and was a lot of food for a very reasonable price, very flavorful. I also had the Won Ton soup, also excellent. The service was also very friendly and efficient. If I lived in the area I would be a regular. read more

We had chicken and veggie lo-mein for the kids, very pleased with them bringing it out so quickly for our two toddlers. Such nice and friendly staff. Very clean, and kindly cleaned two high chairs for us! They were quick with our order, especially with two tiny hungry kids. The ambiance is nice, and our kids loved the booths and the shiny decor! The ambience is very nice, it's a super aesthetic restaurant gives very minimal and ambient lighting! The service is always great, Riley is one of the best waitresses and all the staff are always nice! Don't get me started on their food, their sushi is to die for!! Totally an amazing spot if you love asian fusion restaurants this is hands down the best! Wow!! This visit was much better. While I asked for extra extra spicy and they sprinkled something like cayenne so it was extremely salty and they forgot my bean sprouts, I will say the service was the best I ever had. Seen a lot of bad reviews for this place. We was visiting area. Asked people bout chinese food. Some mentioned this place others said they didn't like it. But we took a shot & tried it out cause they offered alcohol which we wanted to have a drink with our meal. Place wasn't busy, got food out quickly. Asked about their sushi cause nothing had pictures just name of sushi. Husband is meat/potato type man doesn't like change. He liked certain sushi from back home. They had us explain what was in it, was able show picture and they made it happen. I did beef and mushroom meal as well. So overall experience wasn't terrible as others made seem. read more

My wife's food was amazing. My General Tso Chicken tasted off had a citrus taste. Mixed drinks were great. Zach miixed them perfect. Our waitress was ok until she apparently didn't like the tip my wife left her since she questioned my wife about it. We didn't have to leave a tip at all. Five stars for decor and 3 for the food. I was SUPER impressed by the decor and all the aesthetic details in the restaurant, it is probably the most gorgeous restaurant I've been to. Unfortunately the food didn't match the vibe. The food left a lot to be desired. General tsos tofu was too sweet and drenched in sauce and the broccoli was undercooked and cold. The menu is very well put together and displayed nicely. I highly recommend the deep fried crab legs we always order one each!!!!! All the sushi and sashimi is very yummy!!!!! If your feeling frisky and want to have a drink or 3 :) try the fish bowl it is super yummy and a very pretty blue color!! This place is lovely start to finish!! His name is Vincent and he is one of the kindest, friendliest servers you could ever hope for. The food, of course was amazing as ever. We had fried calamari and steamed dumplings to start. I'm not sure if it's a Virginia thing but, as with my attempts to find good Mexican cuisine this Sushi quest ended the same... no seasoning or flavors... I swear the Spicy tuna came straight out of the starkist sweet & spicy packet... So, I asked for the Sushi guy to make me the Roll he's most proud of... out came a Dragon Roll. Only distinguishable flavors was creamy avocado and the too sweet sauce on top... Don't get me wrong the place is nice enough decor, staff was attentive, prices are fair. Silk Road was a great find being from out of town. Their sushi is very fresh. I highly recommend the spicy tuna with avocado on top and their cucumber and imitation crab salad. The hibachi is a must do, nicely seasoned filet mignon. I would not order the pineapple chicken it was way too sweet. This place is far better than it looks on the outside. It looks like an old Shoney's building and isn't much to look at. On the inside however, it was clean and had a very pleasant decor. The menu was very big and though we didn't get the sushi, we did walk by the sushi bar, and all of it looked delicious. We had checked yelp before coming to Silk Road and had gotten ourselves all psyched up for the hibachi dishes, and they did not disappoint. I got the combo of chicken and shrimp hibachi, and it was quite tasty. My wife got the salmon hibachi. It was surprising however, because it was basically a deconstructed hibachi dish, which threw me off guard. Luckily we had appetizer dishes from the amazing crab rangoon we shared earlier, so I assembled my hibachi dish on the appetizer plate. Once I got that all sorted out, I poured some Yum Yum sauce on it and went to town! I ate every bite and boy was I stuffed! I will most assuredly be back here next time we are in town. Bad ingredients and the servers are unfamiliar with the cuisine style. It's okay but Osaka is way better.

We ate here for lunch, and regretted it instantly! Let's start from the beginning. The building seemed a little sketch but from past experiences, those places have the best food. Walking in, the scenery was pretty and the music captivated us. If you like early 90's and 2000's, they won in that department. People that got there way after us received their food way before we did, which was strange. The portions of the food were pretty small and the glass condiments dishes were FILTHY! The food was very bland even down to the fried rice & im not sure how you can mess up on fried rice. I just know that I wont eat here again I was just very disappointed & I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

Hands down our favourite sushi place this side of Afton. You won't be disappointed with the hibachi either. My girlfriend and I meet here monthly for a girls day and 3 rolls is more than enough for us. My personal favourite is the red club roll. I can't ever get enough. We have come here before and the food has been tasty and fresh. We raved about it to our family and all came to eat wonderful Asian Fusion. This time we ordered the beef hibachi at $17 14 pieces of beef with too much ginger and not even hot. The same for the pineapple chicken. The meat was cold (barely warm) and 10 whole pieces or rather slivers, that was $17 as well. Im pretty sure their food is NOT made to order. The only thing I can rave about is the Spiderman sushi and that was overpriced as well at $16 for a roll. It will be our last time here. There must be another place in Waynesborough with good Asian Fusion and great prices. read more
