First off the technicians are super nice and professional, they truly are! HOWEVER the office staff and/or management are horrible! Anyone above the person that answers the phone refuses to talk to anyone about any concerns or issues you have. That is until they see a true experience review online. Then and only then is when Danco will finally have someone call you just to tell you that since you left a true experience review they will now no longer do your warranty work on a Trane heat pump unit that you purchased from them. We have had issues with this system since Danco installed it. The thermostat has to constantly be recalibrated because it won't read the correct temperature, it happens so often that we have to keep thermometers all around the house so we know when to manually run/stop the unit. Tech was here over 3 hours with our old thermostat on Friday the 17th and said he has no idea what the heck its doing and hasn't seen it before. So we paid $140 for a new thermostat (under warranty)... same result, but worse. Also after paying for several service calls with no error codes found, they then informed us that we had to pay them to update the system (still under warranty) because guess what, our system isn't current enough to show the error codes (it's less than 5 yrs old by the way). Why did I have to pay extra to update a new system you sold me so your techs can get the error code to fix it? Shouldn't updates to get codes be a part of the ongoing warranty?? We also had to pay hundreds of dollars to have "some" of the internals replaced in the outdoor unit because it actually caught on fire and burnt up. Notice I said "some" of the internals replaced, we had to argue just to get that done under warranty because no one wanted to accept responsibility. However we are being told by the multiple techs that have been here that they have never seen one catch fire, and are just perplexed by this one... great, but that doesn't really help our situation does it?! Through all of these troubles and thousands of dollars spent, not a single person from management ever bothered to reach out or even return our multiple requests to speak to them about the negative experiences we are having. Would they even care if our house had caught fire... guessing not. But as mentioned above, as soon as a Facebook post was made about all of this, they immediately call and say "since you posted a review we didn't like we are canceling your upcoming Friday the 21st service call (that was skipped Monday and Tuesday) and we are dropping you and your warranty work." Thanks Danco, all we wanted was for our AC that we paid for to work. Terrible management. Terrible experience. Not recommended. read more

Terrible service... Replaced a 15 year old unit with a new energy efficient unit. Spent over 15k to replace and was told it would cut energy bill in half. 2 years later of patiently working with management and providing2 years worth of energy bills showing increased usage due to AC. Always an excuse. They sold me a unit too large for my house and now my registers are molding due to too much airflow. Please avoid this company. read more

Called on a Monday morning for AC issues and said they try to come out that day but no guarantees. said if I made it for Tuesday they could assure me a technician between 10-2. No word by 2 so called. assured tech was wrapping up and I was next. going on 4 and no word- called again same answer. canceled appointment-what a waste of my day. you would think they would have had the courtesy at least give me an update or even an apology when I cancelled-no such thing. didn't care. read more

Our HVAC stopped on the first 90* day of spring. I requested 3 quotes from different companies, and Danco responded the same day! Anthony asked us about our concerns and priorities, and also brought attention to details that we missed. He was friendly, courteous, and very professional. Timothy and Samuel removed our old units and installed the new ones, the next day. We underestimated how much it would cost, however, we were able to finance through them. This morning, we are very happy with the improvement we can feel in just one day...cool with a markedly lower humidity level... and we can't even hear the unit running outside the kitchen window! Monday signed up with Danco for a maintenance contract after neglecting my system for 3 years. Got an appointment for Wednesday. Mitchell, the technician got to the house at the start of the 2 hour window. Took care while working the in house (wore booties). Was very knowledgeable regarding his job. First problem was mold build-up in the air handler and on the heater strips (explained to burning smell and smoke when we turned on the heat). Recommended a UV light to prevent recurrence, and I had him install it. Next he pointed out that the original installation did not have a safety float switch nor a drain blow-out valve (Haught originally installed the system when the house was built - I have never been happy with the installation) - had those installed. I also added surge protectors since we have lost other electronics due to lightning. All work, including the maintenance check-up took about 4 hours, was very pleased with the work and Technicians attitude and rapport. I recommend Danco for HVAC service. read more

He was very professional and courteous throughout the appointment and went above and beyond to make sure our AC was working properly.
