Also the work was not done that great neither, couldn't sweat a hose bib on so they drove somewhere taking about 30 min or more... so now my outside hose bib sticks further away from house. I guess you pay for there inadequate work. I thinks for sure NOT going to use again. Update: The lady in the office was very nice and reasonable. She did take it from 1 1/2 hours to 1 hour, making it $253.28. Still high, but not way overpriced. I had to drive to get my original check and give them the new check. I added photos showing the hose bib sticks out more, and the cleanout didn't get screwed down. With a little cleanup on the threads, it will be fine. I guess I have to fix that myself. I'm keeping this review as is because that was my experience, and I still will never use them again.

However, I am very disappoint in Smelcer Plumbing for 2 reasons: 1) I was not informed when I scheduled the estimator to come out to look at the job that there would be a $250 fee for running the camera thru the pipe - even though it had already been done, I pinpointed where the pipe has issues. 2) I was quoted a price and then had it switched on me after I had spent time and money to get property ready for your workers with the understanding our bill would be reduced. Original estimate was $1600 which included removing tree that lay on top of the line. However, I was told that the estimate would be reduced by $600 if I had tree removed myself because y'all would not have to bring in equipment to remove tree. Based on this verbal conversation with your employee, I hired someone to remove the tree to get ready for your work - and anticipated the bill would be around $1000 based on my conversation with your estimator. I was extremely surprised when I removed the tree and called to get y'all to come out to replace the line to learn my bill would be $1250 instead of $1000 after the estimator talked to Brett, the owner. I spent time and money to have the tree removed based on your estimator's information -- only to learn Smelcer had changed their opinion on what it would now cost.

I hired Shelton plumbing a year ago to install toilet and move plumbing inside the wall. I called the emergency Shelton plumber and home insurance came out and fixed it at that time I thought. Let's fast forward to a year later. My toilet started leaking at the bottom on the flower. The Shelton plumbing forgot to install the nut to bolt the toilet to the floor, which caused it to shift, leak, and severely damage the subfloor over time. I'm now stuck with expensive repairs again thanks to their careless mistake. The total amount that they have cost me over $3,000. I talked to the president of the company his apology came off very disingenuous. He was trying to get off the phone very quickly. He never offered to claim the damages with their insurance to help me pay for the cost.
