After 2years of attempting to resolve a blocked sink having tried 4 other local plumbers in the last 4 years we made an appointment with Ryberg. We knew from a friend that they are a tad on the expensive side but we wanted the problem solved. They showed up as scheduled and Kelby and Castulet were friendly and talented. They took 5 hrs and refused to give up before they fixed it. So pleased with them. They have all the tools needed including a camera probe, an air blaster and a snake. AVOID RYBERG PLUMBING AT ALL COSTS! Before you call them, read this. I had a serious plumbing issue and contacted Ryberg Plumbing for help. When the plumbers (Ryan J. and Gunnar) arrived, I explained I had a main line clog, and told them the main line needed major attention. They worked for about 30 minutes and claimed they had cleared the main line. I was shocked but relieved--until I saw the $375 bill. The next day, we discovered the issue wasn't fixed. The toilet didn't flush, and running the kitchen sink flooded the bathroom fixtures. I called Ryberg again, and the office manager sent the same plumbers back to "address" the issue. She told us the plumber should have explained we shouldn't use the toilet until the issue is fixed. That was a complete 180 contradiction to what he told us. When they came back, they tried to charge another $250, despite not fixing the clog. Instead, they uncovered a kitchen sink cleanout outside, which now causes waste to flow into my pet's yard whenever I run the sink. They had the audacity to tell me this was acceptable until I got the issue "fully repaired." When I questioned the $600+ charge without any real resolution, they said it was because they used a camera. Seriously? I called the office manager again, but she refused to refund anything. I ended up hiring another plumber who cleared the main line within an hour--problem solved. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY, OR PEACE OF MIND WITH RYBERG PLUMBING. Placed a service call with my home warranty company and received a prompt call from Ryberg. "Hey...we have an opening today and we will be out to see you at noon." I leave my office...drive 30min home...wait an hour and then get a call telling me that they are worried the warranty company is not going to pay for their gas/trip charge and that they will have to reschedule. I call my warranty company and say...that they should not of mentioned that and that is between Ryberg and Old Republic. I get confirmation that they are going to pay for the trip charge and get a new time scheduled. I then get a call from the office lady saying that they want to know what kind of faucet I have...model number etc. Why is this my job and how the heck am I supposed to know? Isn't that their job to diagnose the issue and fix the problem??? Then...next day, I get a text that says: Good Afternoon, This is Ryberg Plumbing confirming your appointment 03/05/2025 10:00 AM! 10:00AM rolls round and no plumbler, no call...nothing....I call in and they could not find any record of me. Lady then says....oh....yeah, well your appointment is between 10:00 and 2:00 which is our window. NOWHERE did it say 2PM in the confirmation text....Yet another day I have lost due to their incompetence. I do not recommend this plumbing service. On May  9, 2025 I contacted them about replacing one of the shower heads that had sprung a leak. They were able to send someone out the same day. He looked at the shower head for a few minutes before he left saying he needed to get supplies. I did think that was odd, because when I called I informed them the shower head needed to be replaced. He may have been gone for an hour or so I just returned to work. When he came back I asked if he was able to find a similar replacement. He showed me the one he brought and said it was the best he could find. The shower heads looked the same and were the same brand. I did not realize this at the time but they did not function the same. For reference, the original shower head was a dual-shower head with one of the attachments hanging off a long bar that allowed the second shower head to be stored at arms length. In other words you did not have to reach up to remove it or place it back. I went back to work while the plumber installed the new shower head. He left before testing it with anybody in the household. Once I was done with my meeting, I went downstairs and saw that he left. I went to the bathroom and immediately noticed the difference. There was no long bar so that you could easily access the second shower head. To access the second shower head you have to push a button located on top of the first shower head to release it. This arrangement is not feasible for someone with mobility issues. I immediately called the office and let them know the replacement was nothing like the original. I informed them it could not be used because the person using the shower is elderly and has mobility issues. The individual that answered the phone completely brushed me off and asked if I wanted to speak to the plumber. She then forwarded my call to the plumbers cell phone. It went to voicemail. I left a message very similar to the conversation i just had previously that the unit could not be used and was not close to the original. I asked for him to call back and he never did. The next day I was emailed an invoice, and was shocked by the amount. There were no details about the charges (i.e. labor vs. materials) it was just a single large amount. Not only did I not get the replacement I requested. It seems like I was overcharged and he brought the cheapest thing he could find. I never received any further communication other than a request for a review. Which I rated poorly. I would recommend that you find a more trustworthy company to do business with. read more

Nice Technician Plumber but extremely poor company behavior, documentation, communication at ownership level for a $2,020.00 bill. Poor communication: I had to speak to the actual plumber on his personal cell phone throughout the job. I went by the job a few times and they weren't even there despite being billed for that time frame. Ryberg scheduler is quick to accuse but not in the weeds of the details of the job and not communicating with the labor. There is an AUTO-DEFENSIVE posture with these folks. My bill it said 2 guys but there weren't two guys for parts of the job; I know this because I was on-site. Hours billed were not hours worked. Said it was a one day job, then billed me for more than one day. Materials: $400 on invoice but they are unwilling to even say what the materials were, let alone receipts for those materials. Hmmmm. No Inspection: They were hired to perform a service that doesn't require a city inspection. But after fixing the problem an inspection WAS REQUIRED because they had to go through the attic and circumvent the main and tie off a line. I had to threaten non payment just to get them to file an for inspection. My 2nd plumber wouldn't follow their work because he said he would get blamed for their antiquated processes. I learned all of this when I called the city plumbing inspector. They charged me twice for a camera scope before I asked for a correction ($260 plus $100). I had to threaten a complaint to State Board of Plumbers to get them to file for an inspection. They wanted payment before they were willing to request the inspection. Who does that? Poor documentation: They wrote on the crazy high invoice that they had replaced the "main in the back yard" and they hadn't. They wrote on the invoice that there wasn't a "clean out" by the street and sure enough, there was. My sprinkler man had to find the actual pipes for them at my expense. The scheduler is raising a family and scheduling jobs and trying to keep up with the jobs while her "boss" and hubs is in the background unwilling to even get on the phone or look at a job before he throws out a $6,000 bid. Do not call these folks they're grabbing whatever dollars they can with resentment for their customers and not getting in the deep end of the pool/job. Courtesy and communication counts but not part of the Ryberg way. I know this is a tough and highly paid biz but try to put the customers viewpoint in the equation instead of just your own. read more

I've never done business with this company and don't think I ever will. Seems like an employee was driving one of their Chevy Company trucks. This guy was speeding going close to 60 on a 40 dodging traffic and following super close behind vehicles. He seemed like he was in a rush, even if that was the case he could have seriously injured someone. If this company allows this kind of behavior from coworkers I can just imagine how their services are. Judging by the reviews it seems that services aren't quite up to par. read more

I have used Ryberg several times. They are always courteous and professional Ryberg Plumbing was recommended to me by a friend. I wasn't sure why there was water in my garage I called at 8:30, they assistant arrived about 9:45. They quickly identified that the hot water heater was leaking. An estimate was written, had to retrieve a new water heater and work was wrapped up by 1:00. Very professional and knowledge. I have to echo the comments of previous reviews that are negative. Ryberg has made multiple visits to my home, one plumber they sent had a job to install 14 new valves. Every valve was slathered with liquid sealant by the plumber prior to installation. After one month I had some leaks and I took a valve off to see the entire interior of the valve filled with sealant. In their defense they did come out and replace the valves however I had to pay for two of the more expensive ones. They would not reimburse me even though they were at fault for the valves being rendered useless. Fast forward one year later. I'm the forgiving type thought I'd give them a chance to install my tankless hot water heater, mainly because they addressed the mucked up valves from the previous episode. All went well till I noted I was overcharged for time they weren't on site (the technicians lunch period was included in my billing time) and for an early departure that was less than the time they charged me. After departure, I found out my new drain pan Ryburg installed leaked (not leak checked), though stated it was on the invoice. They sent a second plumber to try to identify the problem. The second plumber couldn't figure out why it was leaking but suggested I get a new pan. I purchased a second new pan at my expense. The plumber had cut the hole incorrectly into the first new pan, and it leaked at the gasket. The Ryberg owner became quite agitated when I identified the problem of the pan leakage and billing and blamed me for watching them too closely. I was offered partial compensation, approximately half of what my loss was from this work project. After spending $1000 all I wanted was them to honor the work they did and remove the time I was billed for nonwork activities. That was too much to ask. The owner became quite irate, and super defensive not at all customer friendly, or considerate. Just the opposite- accusatory without facts and first-hand knowledge of what took place. The silly part of this is that $75 is the tipping point for the Ryberg owner to become extremely unprofessional. My advice to potential customers is find a different company. Note that I have spent over $2000 with this organization and have been treated badly by their owner, not the plumber. Their on-site technicians are very nice, however, I advise you to document their time and request an invoice of materials they purchase while they are on site as they will not provide this information later. I cannot say this is a trustworthy company. read more

Our toilet became stopped so called Ryberg. The guy came and spent less that 10 minutes. He said it was clear but after he left we continued to have issues. He was supposed to have the office send a receipt but they never sent one. I was upset because what they billed my credit card didn't come back to their minimum charge plus tax. The next day I received a text from one of the owners asking if we were pleased with the service. I expressed my displeasure. As sent a receipt and found they charged me, yes charged me, for them using their own equipment to perform the work. Not only $115.00 for a 10 minute job but then another $15.00 for the 'rental'. Told her I needed them to refund the fee that was not previously disclosed and to send someone back out, at their cost, to finish the work. She told me they didn't guaranty their 'blockage work' and we would have to pay another fee. Told her I would call another company instead of being ripped off any further. Never heard back from her. So much for trying to support a local business when they treat you like a nothing. I will never call them again and will warn everyone off of them. read more

They did a great job addressing some major issues with the plumbing in a home we just bought. Very thorough and knowledgeable.

Single worst plumbing company in the history of mankind. Remodeling a house, they came in and within 24 hours we had a leak in the first floor ceiling that required a complete replacement, and come to find out the new tub was it installed incorrectly. Additionally, they installed the wrong valve in the shower, which they came out and attempted to fix no less than 4 times (charging us for each visit) yet it still isn't fixed. When we called, each time there was no solution offered, only excuses and an attempt to absolve themselves of liability. And today, July 4th, the entire plumbing under the sink they installed a mere 3 months ago literally fell out, leaving us not only with a raging mess but completely stranded halfway through preparing a meal for our boys. Avoid Ryberg like the plague. Completely unprofessional, unwilling to help or fix their own errors and wholly incompetent. If you have a choice between the bum on corner and Ryberg, choose the bum. Called the week before Thanksgiving and was told the next Monday they would be here. I worked extra hours at work to be available. At 845 they called to say they don't have enough people and need to reschedule - explained I worked more and was met with whining. I rescheduled for Saturday and was left high and dry - sort of - until she called after my second stern message to talk down to me about time frames and then want to reinvent the Monday story. Female who answers phone at Ryberg always has screaming children in the background. Service technician does not show during window of appointed time or leaves in less than the 18 minutes it took me to get home to meet them. Even the cable company can provide a 30 min heads up call. Yesterday I had a technician from Ryberg Plumbing in Waco, come out to clear a stoppage in my sewer main line. The technician used an auger (snake to we lamen folk) for a short time. He stated it didn't fix the problem and further work would need to be done the following day. I had taken a photo of the technician while he was working and very luckily for me and my landlord, a friend of mine that has worked in the plumbing field over four decades saw the photo and contacted me. He said the machine (auger) the plumber was using was inappropriate for the line needing to be cleared. He was using an intermediate auger used for 2" pipes on the interior such as a sink, tub, toilet, etc. My friend said the tech should have been using a main line auger for my 4" sewer line. I notified my landlord and he and I both agreed that the tech should bring the PROPER machine out and re-auger the line at no charge. I called and spoke with the office manager who immediately put her "master plumber" on the phone with me. He introduced himself as Cody and I again relayed what my friend had seen in the photo I had taken. He immediately became extremely angry saying the proper machinery had been used which was completely untrue. He then said, "I don't know who you were talking to but I don't appreciate".... I said it was a licensed journeyman with over 40 years of both custom and heavy commercial background, also having been a foreman running his own crew. He cut me off telling me the "next" thing they were going to do which would also require a 2nd plumber. I then told him no he wasn't going to, as I was going to have the job done by another company. To my surprise he then said, and I quote; "Don't fucking call me again!" I understand his anger completely. He was furious that he had been caught trying to pull a fast one over on a customer. He knew very well that the machine his technician had used was insufficient for the line needing the work. Then they could easily say, it didn't work and further more expensive work would be needed. Ryberg is in my opinion dishonest and "Cody's" use of profanity was unprofessional and rude. They get negative stars in my book. Do not hire them! read more
