The pizza was inedible. It's hard and the cheese is stale. Their burger was pretty good, and so was the macaroni salad. Water is $4.79, which is overpriced but normal for outside places like this one. They had pumpkin ice cream but it was hard and needed to wait a long time for it to melt. Service was fine, I mean, they don't really do anything except stand there since you just pick up the food. The ambiance is ok, it's nothing to clap about but typical for a zoo. My mom slipped on their wet floor.

Not many option here at Bronx Zoo when it comes to food. It seemed like each eatery offered the same menu. Mainly, burgers and chicken tenders with fries. Here at Dancing Crane Cafe, as soon as you walk inside, there was a long counters where you order and pick up your food. It seemed like the staff working at the counters were local kids, young, but they were doing pretty good job, trying there best to be efficient. The area behind the counter was kept pretty clean, and everyone was wearing hair nets and gloves, which was good to see. The whole ordering and picking up the food took a while. After you get your food, you go to the cash register behind you, and you pay there. You could also pick up some juice and what not from the refrigerator by the cashiers. The indoor eating area was filled with family and kids, and even more so, filled with food and trash on the floor, chairs, and tables... Not very well kept, the outside seemed much cleaner. If you were not in a mood to get chicken tenders, burger, pizza, or hot dog, and the only healthy option they had here was veggie panini, then you are in for a huge disappointments. And even if you are ok with these selections, do not get your hopes up, it is not that great, not worth the price.

Like many other reviews have stated this is not an impressive selection. The food is what you would find at any other amusement park. Overpriced burgers, hot dogs, fries, chicken fingers, and pizza. This location happens to have some pre-made salads and sandwiches available along with beer! I ordered the chicken fingers and fries combo : a number 3 I believe and opted to get the boo at the zoo cup that you could refill all day for free. All in all my meal came to about 17$. They do offer a lot of options for dipping sauces for the chicken fingers, the honey mustard was pretty good. One thing I wasn't happy with was how fast my fries got cold and ultimately inedible. The set up in the dining area is kinda crazy. First you can go up to one of the lanes to get your food or you have the option of grabbing a pre made meal. Once you get one of those options you are supposed to go up to the lanes and pay for your food. One thing that I did notice was a lot of people skipping out on paying there bill. For the zoo's sake i'd try to come up with a way of either opting for more staff to ensure payment was made. Not fair that I get stuck paying $17 and they get it for free. One cool thing about eating in the park and being a member you get 20% off discount.

Horrible experience yesterday. I ordered a bowl-plain white rice for my son which i always do at…read moreevery chipotle even this one. They normally charge me for a veggie bowl no meat and add extra white rice for me. My son has food allergies to dairy and he's a picky eater. He doesn't like the meat here and he can't have the lettuce because they use the same glove to grab the lettuce as they do the cheese. Cross contaminating the food. We keep it simple and i always get the white rice bowl and order chips on the side. Never had an issue. Last time i came here about a month ago, the girl wasn't sure how to charge it and asked her manager and he told her. Yesterday one of the 3 girls working in the food area saw the first girl put only rice in the bowl and started talking bad about me in Spanish. Maybe because i ordered my food speaking English, she thought i didn't speak Spanish. She said i was being cheap and if it was a side order, they needed to put it in another container smaller next time. She gave me a bad look and rolled her eyes and me So i told her IN SPANISH, no one is trying to be cheap and get it priced cheaper. I always order it like This and last time, that same girl asked the manager and he said to it was ok do to it like that and charge a veggie bowl, furthermore, my son has allergies and can't eat everything there. She looked more stunned that i understood her talking crap in Spanish and responded fluently in Spanish. She ended up leaving the food area and going towards the back. Then the girl at the register also had an attitude but didn't roll her eyes or talk bad. I had an issue with the soda machine it wasn't working and i was changed for a cup soda so i asked her if i can return the cup and get a bottle soda instead. When i sat down with my son to eat, i realized they charged me for the side dish anyway vs veggie bowl. I don't understand why this was so confusing for them. I won't be back and I'm in this area regularly for my son's braces treatment. Staff needs training on customer service and how to charge things properly I also forgot to mention that there were no eating utensils-only knives, no forks or spoons so i had to ask the girl at the register for that which is why i think she was a little annoyed also. They were low on napkins and the coke a cola portions of the machine weren't working

I also order a tiny tiny amount of corn salsa as a garnish. Right off the bat I noticed that they were calling working for ingredients that were almost completely empty which was not a good sign. I also noticed that the woman who was taking my order did not seem to care at all while they were there. When I asked for specific portions of the mild, medium, and corn salsa they completely ignored what I said even when I asked for less of an ingredient. Even when I tried to repeat the word "less" they looked me in the eye and blatantly didn't listen. They also rolled their eyes at me when I asked for an extra scoop of tomato. I couldn't understand why this was a huge problem. The restaurant was clean and the food was still delicious which is partially why I didn't give a lower rating. I also don't understand why this location charges more for their food than other locations. Maybe I should just go there instead.

I do enjoy the breakfast and sadly that is where I recently had such a bad experience. The service is so slow in the morning and it doesn't make any sense because there are not much customers in the AM. They seem to make online Uber orders, companies as such more of a priority, then the actual in door customer. Although it took them a minute to fix the situation, it still was a bad experience. If I didn't make a big deal about it, it would have never been fixed and that's sad, because I consider myself almost a regular paying customer. I do enjoy the breakfast as I said. I think I won't continue to frequent this place anymore. No thumbs up, but Happy Yelping!

Of course, I have heard of Smashburger brand name but did not patronize due to the inopportunity to travel and the time. All in all, burgers are not my favorite food. However, I have a strong predilection for Jackson Hole burgers for their intense juiciness and flavor when holding it in your hand for a bite - never dry. With an open mind, I entered without any preexisting judgment for burgers or any brand name, chain restaurants burgers image or quality but a focused lunch for enjoyment. We decided to dine in for our lunch away from the constant stream of work related interruptions calling my name for assistance and frivolous inquiries to fully enjoy our meal. It took nearly twenty minutes - too long for our food to arrive. This Smashburger location sits in Kingsbridge, Bronx in a small shopping complex adjacent to businesses AT&T, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Dunkin', Buffalo Wild Wings, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Baskin-Robbins. There is also a small parking lot for these businesses. It is very accessible via MTA NYC Transit 1 local train at 238th Street subway station. I did received my sales receipt. At the bottom of the sales receipt contains the bathroom access code. This bathroom code is time sensitive and changes days later. Double Classic Smash $9.99 (2 orders) Two certified Angus beef, with American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles, ketchup, butter toasted bun. The bun was nice and fluffy, but it was not buttery in taste. I have a strong predilection for brioche bread. There were no "Smash sauce" included as I had to add a lot of ketchup for flavor to taste, but the red onions and pickles were good. The lettuce was fresh and a generous large portion covering the entire burger. The beef was average although certainly above average than the standard McDonald's proceeded meat. My colleague/friend ordered the Scorchin' hot fries $4.09 which she enjoyed along with melted cheddar cheese sauce cup $4.99. I do not consume spicy hot food in any format. Surely, spicy hot foods are not my cup of tea. Fountain drink $3.29 Refillable and self-serve 20 oz. At first I selected the unsweetened black ice tea which is really unsweetened and utterly bland. I prefer hot teas that are unsweetened. The Dragon fruit was refreshing delight that it was completely sold out. We both have a big fat compliant for their beverages: why no ginger ale soda? Why are there two variations of Coke Cola (diet Coke and Zero Coke)? Ginger ale is the only type of soda that I consume which entice my interest. I have no preference for brand name ginger ale, but this is utter blatant discrimination for omission and exclusivity against ginger ale soda. Milk shakes do not entice my drink interest.
