No ticket fees... absolutely the greatest experience for a venue here in AZ The concert was Killer Queen, first ever Queen tribute band in existence. Got tickets early and purchased box tickets. The box was extremely spacious and comfy seats that were just nice chairs that allowed us to push them to the back of the box and dance the night away with plenty of room. Running up to purchasing, the staff allowed me inside to view the seating before making the selection. Water and bar was extremely inexpensive. Only things that were an odd experience, was that box office staff couldn't sell me tickets as we walked through the center months before... had to purchase online only... no booking fees so no issues.. just odd. The gift shop is full of unique gifts... nothing concert based... but the band had it's own store on the night. Restroom facilities need to expand on days that a concert is on, the extra Restrooms were closed, leaving a long line after the event for both male and female. Not sure why the other Restrooms were closed that night. Theres a lot of great concerts coming this season and happily return because of the prices and no fees.

5 out of 5 for the concert experience and parking 1 or 2 out…read moreof 5 for SCFTPA's branding/markeitng...i'll explain we went for the BBVD concert in Oct 2026. great show, the band is still rockin since the 90s. concert was on a Weds and the theater was maybe 70% full -- we thought, same concert at this venue on a Fri/Sat, it would have sold out, but that's neither here nor there i had never been here and the parking is a little wonky. it's across the street and over the hill but it's FREE (i know...WHAT?) and it's a short walk to the entrance. slightly confusing to find but you'll figure it out. you can also probably call the box office ahead for info. after the short walk from parking we found the theater in the large arts complex i guess. anyway where the shows are held is the Virginia Piper Theater. there was no signage or advertisements for our show, so we just guessed all of these people standing around like at an airport were like us, and waiting for the doors to the V Piper to open. we were right. but i mean, you're an entertainment venue....you should have a marquee or posters or...............SOMETHING that gets you hyped for the show ahead. the stage set-up for BBVD was also very minimal. no screens. no laser light shows. but the band was AWESOME. rare is the band that can get by on talent alone (i'm looking at you, 2026 Motley Crue) all of the theater staff/volunteers were very helpful and friendly. the merch stand staff equally great to do business with. the theater and bathrooms are C-L-E-A-N. even the men's restroom has dividers between every uninal. wowsers! no trough-style sausage party like you get at Celebrity Theater, Financial Theatre, and the other A stages in Phoenix with no concern for a gentleman's privacy. i mean, some of these places are like that snake pit in Indiana Jones where you're just trying to avoid the glare of many garden hoses. too much bro, too much. THIS place was class class class, all the way for my little man. privacy AND clean porcelin. outstanding! all of the seats seemed to have plenty of room. overall just a great night-out experience. clean and easy parking. clean and easy venue. it helped that the band was outstanding. it's just too bad there aren't more big acts that come here. i would compare this stage to the Mesa performing arts stage, but the Mesa venue gets way more acts. anyway, Scottsdale, build up that line-up and we shall return, you sexy city you!!!

From lesson #1 my daughter's confidence grew tremendously and because of the coaching and instruction Terry gave her, she landed a part in a musical she wanted to be in very badly. He encourages without being condescending and the first thing my daughter asked me when her show was over was "when can I start seeing Terry again?"

They said the doors were closed by Netflix and Justin Wilman at 7:52 and that they were also given last minute notice as well. Also, the parking lot to Celebrity Theatre has several open spots while the parking lot next to them was looking pretty sparse. Why have so much open parking spaces? We did not see or receive notice that we had to be at the theater at a specific time - only that the doors open at 7pm. Given that information, we figured if we showed up a bit later, we wouldn't have to wait in line. This screwed us up terribly. This was completely terrible service and I will not be supporting Justin Wilman (we've been huge fans of his since 2021...maybe even before then as our daughter who is now 11 loves him....and saw him last year when he came to Tempe... again due to when the doors opened we waited in the hot hot Phoenix heat for about 45 min before making it inside...which again IS WHY WE WAITED TO ARRIVE SO FREAKING LATE). It's sad because we literally were raving about Justin at our dinner with a group of 12 that were all coming to see him. More than half of the group for the first time would be seeing him. If he is familiar with NPS, he'll know he and the venue are a 1/10. Never again. Celebrity Theatre needs to also give MORE detailed information on when doors are closing. I will never come to this venue again nor attempt to purchase tickets to see Justin again. Also, what BS is it that we were told by the parking attendants that we would be let in and were not.

The show was fabulous and we all really enjoyed it (even my teens who complained about going to a show in the first place) We found the theatre itself easy to access and scored a great parking spot even though we arrived just about 10 minutes before the show was set to start. It said 7:30 start time but probably started closer to 7:45. Tickets were waiting at will call as requested and all of the staff working that evening were super friendly. At the performance we saw, the role of Evan, normally played by Mason Ballard, was played by his understudy, Daniel Shain Graf and he did an excellent job as did the rest of the actors. We purchased some refreshments at intermission, which were very overpriced, but that is to be expected at all entertainment venues these days. Thanks to all of the companies and individuals who contribute to the arts to keep this theatre company going... we will definitely be back!

What a fun, hilarious, and completely unique experience! And don't worry, you don't have to be into Shakespeare or Dracula to enjoy these shows. If you're looking for something fun and unique to do, this is it! It doesn't matter if you're a huge fan of comedy, Shakespeare, or Dracula--you're guaranteed to have a great time. I mean, they hand you a shot as soon as you walk in the door... if that tells you anything about the kind of night you're in for! Such a fun date night! We laughed so much, and I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for something different to do in Phoenix!

Drunk Pirates is the offspring of the Drunken Shakespeare Society based out of downtown Phoenix in the Arizona Center. Find the parking valet on the west-facing block and look for the red door and the line. Once inside, you are sat in a "theater in the round setting" that holds around 75 people, so there truly isn't a bad seat in the house. You are greeted with a shot of blue curaçao as you prepare for the evening. For this iteration of the show, you are told the story of Treasure Island with a parody and improv twist. The actors are supremely friendly, funny, and approachable before and after the show, but when the show begins is where they really shine. As you can guess from the name, there are ample opportunities for crowd work, crowd participation, and improv games with pop culture references aplenty. Now for the four-star review. If anyone from the show reads this, I would say my biggest critique comes from the projection and pacing of the dialogue delivery. At many points through the evening, it was hard to hear punchlines either through the volume of the delivery or articulation. Another critique came from those sitting next to us, that I happen to agree with. A guy next to us was explaining to his friends that throughout the show, one of the actors would be the designated drinker and would be taking shots the entire performance. His party was disappointed when the actor took six shots the entire hour. I don't think we expected the guy to get commode hugging plastered, but we all hoped some bad decisions would be made and slips of the tongue would occur à la Drunk History style. At the end of the day, we had a great night and laughed a lot, and that's what we looked forward to. There are lots of cocktail drinks and not a lot of food options, so eat before you go. They also don't validate, so grab some Coldstone ice cream on the way out!

Since the remodel, it has a really swanky vibe that gives you that jazz club feeling. (Just bring a sweater because it can get really chilly in there!) Unfortunately, the drink situation is a bit of a racket. You cannot get water without paying for it (they only will sell pricey bottled waters), and even if you're just getting soda water from the fountain, they will charge your four dollars for a refill! My husband paid $12 for 3 small cups of soda water with a bunch of ice on a recent visit. You can buy cases of seltzer for that price! Their cocktails and wines are on point with other local establishments, but charging $4 for water - especially in Phoenix - feels a little scammy.

And it's safe to say that Tempe Center for the Arts is one of my favorites. First off, you can either park in the parking garage a few minutes away from the venue by foot or you can park in the gravel lot that is a minute or two farther away. If you park in the garage, they will validate your ticket. Guaranteed parking is always a big win in my book. I've been to the Tempe Center for the Arts (TCFTA) twice. Once for a concert and once for a play put on by the Arizona Theater Company. Both have been A+ experiences. First off, the venue is located right by Tempe Towne Lake which makes for a picturesque location. The venue itself is just as beautiful with stunning architecture, both inside and out. It's clean. It's comfortable. The ushers are friendly. There is plenty of seating to hang out outside before the show, during intermission, or after. You can also hang out on the patio where there's a fire pit and seating. On a certain day of the week that's escaping me, they do an open mic night out there. I haven't tried any of the concessions, but they have a bar and some snacks. There's complimentary water. The theater is pretty intimate which makes for a better experience. It's designed well. There are even often some art installations you can check out. Overall, you can't ask for much better than this when it comes to an event experience! I've become a season ticket holder of the Arizona Theater Company, so I can't wait to be back!

I like the fact that there are daring enough to challenge the audience with nudity (both male and female) in a very tasteful artistic way and I'd give them high regard for that. It honestly reminds me a lot of what the Greeks used to do through the history of their plays and performances. There were a few minor things that I had disagreements about when I went. First off it may have just been that performance but the play I attended just didn't see them that well written. Again it could've been a bad play on this attendance and it doesn't mean I won't give it another chance to see if the writing of gotten a little better. On a positive side, it was good to see them use actors who are new to the acting experience to get them seasoning. So when you go you will definitely see local upcoming talent on stage. The other negative part I have was the sound quality. They had to use headset with microphone which I thought took away from the experience of watching one on stage. There are a lot of feedback issues, dropped sound quality, and the likes which took away from the experience. I think though this too could be rectified with a little work backstage for the next time. I would like to go again and see what they have to offer. Definitely This place gives you a whole new perspective to the idea of theater which I think is a good idea. It is a pricey ticket though so be forewarned.
