The servers and staff were friendly and efficient. The Silver Star band put on a professional show with super fun music and upbeat dancing. The female singer was the best I've heard anywhere - and I've seen many Broadway shows. Well worth the price - will go again!

I still enjoyed my time each time even though we were probably the youngest as someone got my husband and I tickets here for my birthday the past two years. The music was fantastic and we saw the variety show and the Grand Finale show and I enjoyed seeing multiple genres of music. The lead singers and musicians were phenomenal, and I absolutely loved the costume changes. The outfit changes really held my attention and was a great part of the show. The food, however, was just okay. I wouldn't come here for the food alone, but rather for the overall experience and to do something different. The meal included vegetables, potatoes, mashed potatoes, spinach cheese ravioli, chicken Parmesan, pulled pork dish, and a pineapple fish dish. This was the same food both times we went, so I'm not sure if they ever change it, I wish they did for a change. The pulled pork and cheese ravioli were good, but I wasn't a fan of the other dishes. The chicken Parmesan was probably the worst I've had as it wasn't at all what I expected from a traditional chicken parm. Dessert is a slice of chocolate cake that's already at your table when you arrive. I did think it was a nice touch that they pass out foil before the show ends so you can take it home and not waste it. The recommended tip listed on a sign at the table is $5 per person, so in addition to your ticket price, expect to pay at least that much extra. Drinks are also not included, so that's another added cost. Overall, this is a great experience, more so for 50+ and would make a fun gift, especially for a couple looking to do something different. I wish they had a family friendly show where it encouraged families with kids as I could see my kids who love music at 2 and 4 enjoying the show and dancing! I sat about in the middle of the theater and had a good view of everything. I really think most seats will be just fine!

His reviews, videos and credibility was exactly what I was looking for. We spoke on the phone and I addressed many questions I've had -- he was very accommodating and patient. He showed up right on time and remained very professional throughout the night. I have been doing my "ultimate Halloween Party" every year and I have hired many entertainers but Brett was by FAR the best money ever spent on my event. He simply blew away my mind and all my guests. The entertainment he did was OUTSTANDING. Brett creates fun memories that last a lifetime! He even made his "tricks" Halloween themed (which was a super bonus)! It was unlike anything I've ever seen. I don't know how he does it and to be honest we talk about it all the time on how he "could pull it off." He is VERY TALENTED!!! Look no where else -- I'm serious -- just stop looking -- you will not find anyone better than Brett. He will NOT disappoint you in the slightest. My next event(s) will always include Brett Barry, to the point where I will schedule it around his availability.

The bad is in my opinion, how poorly this incident with sleeveless Steve was handled. I've been dancing over 35 years, I currently have a very large dance group in the Phoenix Metropolitan area called Honky Tonk Dancerz. I bring a lot of people to Foley Ranch to enjoy the food, the great Service and the ambience of the country western music and great dance floor to dance on. Over the past several months I've gotten a chance to get to know Steve and I find him very pleasant, very kind to the lady he dances with and respectful. He is a product of the new style of country swing, that you have your instructors teach this style on Thursday nights. In my opinion, there is a lack of instruction on Dancefloor etiquette and feeling the music, by that I mean, actually dancing to the music, not alongside of it. Steve dances as he was instructed by the instructors that you bring on the dance floor and teach new dancers how to dance. Steve dances exactly like all the other new dancers dance. If you have a problem with Steve and the way he dances, then you have a problem with all the other people that have been instructed by the instructors that you bring to Foley Ranch. And in regard to the comment that was made by Dan B, where Steve grab the arm of a lady and drug her to the dance floor, that's BS and that is never happened. Like other people have said in comment and in Steve's defense women can say no and that's their prerogative. If they don't like the way he's dancing with them on the dance floor then they need to open their mouth and tell him to take it easy I don't like the way you're dancing or I'm not gonna dance with you again. It's very obvious that Dan B and his group are not part of the dance community like Steve and many others that have commented in Steve's defense. Last weekend, I spoke with Garcia the floor manager and introduced myself and the concerns that I had when I heard about Steve being 86. I asked a lot of other dancers in the dance community, what their thoughts were on this. Some have already commented on here. And I feel it's my obligation to the dance community to do so also. I would be more than happy to sit down and speak with management and give my further thought as to how the situation can be resolved. Thank you, Bobby Honky Tonk Dancerz

Staff and volunteers are happy to be here and helpful. My faves were the artist gallery (Prince's purple piano!) and the experiential room where I could pound on a drum! Ahhhh. Two floors of meticulously curated items designed to inspire and educate you - just wow. Then, enjoy a coffee or snack or a freshly made salad or sandwich at their cafe. The food is exceptional, especially enjoyed on their patio. I stopped in to the gift shop and found a small token for my brother. If you can, also check out the many performers: some well-known and some up & comers - who perform in the comfortable performing arts theatre. They have a calendar of events on the website. The MIM literally has something for everyone. I think what's so great is I can bring guests to the MIM and not be bored b/c you can never see all there is to see in just one day!

I've lived in Arizona a long time now and had never been to this museum, which is well-renowned and…read morehighly rated. I'd heard good things about their concerts, specifically. April is community college month and for that, they offered all MCCCD students and employees half off admission, which I took advantage of. I brought my friend here and we got two for one admission, plus entry to their special exhibition: The Magical Flute. After we got our tickets, we were given a headphones and audio set so we could hear. The music being played on the screens throughout the museum. No food/drink allowed, or backpacks. I was wearing a small one but was able to keep it with me by wearing it on my front, maybe so I wouldn't inadvertently knock things over if it was on the back. We started on the second floor and moved through the continents, starting with Africa, "Middle East" (aka West Asia), Asia, Latin America, USA/Canada, and Europe. Saved the two we were least interested in for last. Honestly, I was overwhelmed with the variety and amount of instruments; the orientation video said they have 10,000. I was curious how they amassed them all and hoped it was done ethically (saw a few spots that notated gifts and donations by certain people). I liked the similarities of instruments across geographical areas, and it made sense when I saw the Silk Road section and how trade connected these countries. I had quite the jump scare as I was moving through West Asia and I came across "Isr*el". That is NOT a real place and it should be correctly labeled as Palestine. I didn't even look at that exhibit as it made me too mad, and I vocalized my annoyance. Almost ruined my visit honestly, and I wish they would rectify this particular exhibit. I read a review that said it used to be Palestine; if so, shame on them for changing it. During the Latin American section, the power ran out on my portable headset so we went back downstairs and got new ones so we could continue to enjoy the music. It did make me think about how deaf people experience this museum in a much different way than people who can hear, as it becomes primarily a visual experience. I agree with my boba sistah who shared her desire to play with the instruments, as that same feeling came over me many times during my visit. I understand why this isn't allowed, but it takes some self-restraint. I must have missed the experience gallery with instruments that could be played, that would have been fun. Though the gift shop had a few instruments that we tried out. The special exhibit on flutes was fine, but not worth the extra price if I had to pay. I did recognize a familiar face: Ken Koshio, who plays the drums and flute at sunrise on Piestewa Peak. The museum also has an artist gallery of different musicians that I didn't find too interesting (Maroon 5? Taylor Swift? Really?). They have a cafe and we quickly perused the menu, but seeing items like a pork banh mi for $19 doesn't sound tempting. Overall, I would say this is a worthwhile visit and there is so much to take in and explore. I was glad to have gotten a deal on admission. Though I am super bummed about their exclusion of Palestine, hence my rating.

Before getting into that I'll talk about the drinks. Pretty good and reasonably priced. Nothing to gimmicky about them and would definitely return to try other options. The bar setting itself was nice! I truly appreciate the speakeasy feel- walking through a mystery door phone booth was a good welcome to this bar. Small on the inside, but had a classy but casual feel. Since we did the murder mystery there was also a preset menu which was cool. The food was okay, but will be returning back for the drinks more than the food. The murder mystery game was a nice way to get everyone in the bar involved. Essential a real like clue or who done it game. Very interesting but also can be a bit distracting if your goal was to come out and have some drinks and peace out at your leisure. While it is a very cool idea, I feel that more customers would be able to come and go on these days and not be turned out because a reservation was not made. All in all, will return on another night to try more drinks
