We just finished our first season with CFAZ and feel like I can give a candid review. My daughter spent years doing gymnastics through various community/req style programs. Then a year or so through a satellite location of a major valley gymnastics gym. I could tell she was bored, and frankly...she was not progressing. After some research, we decided to try cheer. We went into the season with the intention of joining a non-travel, but during evaluations, the Coaches asked if we would consider putting our daughter on a more competitive travel team and we went for it! If you are new to the world of All-Star cheer as we were...it's super overwhelming at first. There is a significant time and financial commitment from families, however it is pretty well laid out up front in the parent handbook. I've learned in connecting with other Cheer parents (across state lines and other gyms) that this is generally what is to be expected of the sport and not specifically a CFAZ thing. That all being said, reflecting on this last year, my only regret is that we hadn't discovered this program and enrolled our daughter sooner!!! She has LOVED every minute from the very first pre-eval clinic, to the time she finished her last season's performance. YES-- the physical gains from this year are evident. She has grown in all aspects of the sport- but the real value is in the intangibles. Cheer has taught her the importance of team (which as an only child carries a lot of weight with us), discipline, and most of all...it has unlocked a confidence that we hadn't seen before. She (as well as WE) have met some wonderful new friends and families along the way. She has had the opportunity to work with many of the coaches at the gym either from her team, classes or private lessons and they all bring their own unique qualities to the program. If there is one negative to mention its that there is definitely a learning curve for new families. I think many families start in a Prep team to learn the ropes-- so perhaps it was just us jumping right in, but I did wish there was maybe a "All Star Cheer 101" for new families. But even putting that aside, you eventually figure it out. Tips for any new families considering joining this crazy world of All-Star Cheer-- We highly recommend CFAZ!! Recognize that the program's priority is focused around the kids-- not parents. Trust in the process- the coaches will see more of your kids' progress and abilities than you will. Don't be afraid to ask the questions if you have them and find some good veteran families to help fill in those educational gaps along the way. read more

CheerForce Arizona is the best gym you can find the area. They are care to your children, they put safety first, their ethic is strong and it's a safe environment for your children. My daughter is every day there (I really don't push her) She love practice with her team, she love their class and she love all the coaches! You will have a large choice of classes for tumbling, jumps, stretching, clinics, camp and you can have private with top coaches! They have Elite travel teams (all levels) and non travel teams. CheerForce is a family! Every athletes and parents are always supportive for each other. The owners are always here for any questions, the coaches will teach to your kids skills until they master it! Cheerforce has become our second home and I am so glad we chose this gym to enroll our daughter. There was so much to learn as we transitioned from dance and gymnastics into cheer. The team practices are more frequent and it's not a "free for all" environment. For us, this was huge! We are finally in a team atmosphere where families AND athletes are committed wholeheartedly and it shows. To make this team work, the girls became friends, had fun, and locked in to practice and perform at their absolute best. We couldn't be happier! Our daughter is also enrolled in tumbling and private lessons. At first we didn't understand why these classes on top of her team practices were so important, so we were delayed to start them. When her coach brought it to our attention of how these skills classes would improve her skills within their team routine, we knew we needed to start them, AND OH MY GOODNESS HAS IT HELPED! I'm so glad we are in them! After the very first tumbling practice our daughter came home and showed us what she learned that day (over and over and over again)! They train on basics first which was very helpful to correct form and learn new skills, which contributes our daughter's safety when practicing and performing. These skills also build as she goes through the classes, moving her up in level and have helped her achieve her own goals. I am also super thankful for the communication systems Cheerforce has in place. The calendar system is super easy to follow, and is ideal since there are so many moving dates during comp season. It makes planning easy for us. My husband and I can have the team specific chat all on our phones and the calendar app, which eliminates dozens of emails and confusion in our schedule. It is SO so helpful! I do want to note that this is a competitive gym! If you are looking to enroll in a fun and focused cheer environment, this is it. We have friends at other gyms around the Valley, and from conversations with them, we know we chose the right place for us. Everyone is different, but CheerForce is our daughter's home away from home and we are here to stay! There is a very high level of commitment, the coaches are communicative, and the athletes are the top priority. Here's to next season!!! read more

We have been here for a few years now - and we are so happy! We are all like a family. They are winning more and more comps every single year and not only winning, they are teaching life skills along the way. My daughter has grown leaps and bounds in not only talent, but also personally, since being here. The coaches and owners do care and are wonderful - I am so glad we stayed here and a few of my friends and their kids have joined and they adore this place! My daughter will be graduating high school next year and going to college, and I am already dreading leaving this gym, the people, the trips, the competitions - oh my gosh, it is all so fun! My daughter still has 2 seasons to go (we just started a new season) and I can't think of a better way to spend the next 2 years than with this group of people who only want the best for my daughter and want to teach her to win, but also lose with grace. As you can see from other reviews, there is a major concern over the new management and professionalism. They take your money and treat you like a business - not family. My daughter told me a few girls got Covid-19 and they still let them practice with NO MASKS!. Who does that? What organization allows girls to continue in close proximity and train with one another with no mask/exposure to the virus. No quarantine!! They do not care for you or your children. This is why I took my daughter off the team and to another gym. We will never come back. Please save your money and time and go somewhere else. This place needs to be shut down! read more

First of all, "giving Phoenix a real chance at competitive cheerleading again" ???? What are you saying about the other gyms in Phoenix?? Sorry to let you down, there are PLENTY OF GREAT gyms in this state. (Not very professional, Tsk Tsk) I was a team mom and the Booster President at CheerForce this season, these names of these other "parent" and "athlete" reviewers are unrecognizable. I was going to walk away and stay quiet until Shawna D (not a parent) started going in the moms/families. We are not all from Scottsdale AND you (CheerForce) told multiple parents, including me, you didn't like the Scottsdale demographic. If you don't like it, go back to California!!! Simple! Also, Shawna D, how do you know of these parents cussing out coaches if parents aren't allowed in the gym?? Unless you are the coach, or the owner, or you are a parent and the coaches or owners told you this info, which makes this gym not professional? Right? Which also corroborates all these negative and honest reviews' points?? These families pay/paid you thousands of dollars for an All Star Season. What did they get?? A final routine in February when there is an "in-house choreographer," the normal time frame is August. Uniforms in February, when it should be October/November. Competing in March when they should have competed in December!! Some teams STILL don't have music, they are using old CheerForce music. Which they haven't said if they will be crediting that insane amount of money to the families. The communication is NON EXISTENT. Transparency is also non existent. I have went to the owners several times when parents were frustrated, pleading with them to communicate. They put one lousy newsletter out and called it a day. I tried my hardest to help this gym and these owners. I got tired of being cussed out by families who are frustrated and some have since left, everyone I talked to says they will not return. I had to make the toughest decision to pull my daughter from this gym because they are going absolutely nowhere. CheerForce DOES NOT communicate with their families, we get told event information 2 days before when other gyms have been given the same info out more than a week before. DeeDee (one of the owners) scratches team performance videos from events without telling them or their families. She also changes divisions for the season without communicating properly to the families. Don't forget changing divisions to a non building division after the FIRST day of a 2 day competition just to get their 1st place (when no one is even in that division.) AND brag about it on social media. This gym is now the laughing stock of cheer gyms in the AZ community. These fake positive reviews are now targeting parents??? Really unprofessional, DeeDee and Betty. Shame on you all. Call this karma, this gym is built on lies, fear tactics, and manipulation. Why did they change their name to D&B Scottsdale? I really doubt they plan to stick around for another year. I do feel sorry for the couple good coaches there, some relocated from California for this. They also don't think parents talk, this is a small cheer community. EVERYONE TALKS! And you've been told this many times by parents!!! Take the L and bow out gracefully. Review of the 2021-2022 season My daughter just finished her first season with CF on Omega. She has built great new friendships and awesome working relationships with all the coaches. She did have some mental tumbling blocks this season, but Coach Kyle did not let up and kept her moving forward. The level of support and care he shows his athletes, I have not seen at other gyms. The owner Dee Dee, is always available to answer any question and is just a pleasure to get to know. For a California based cheer gym to open up in AZ just before Covid hit, and have their Worlds Global Co-Ed level 6 team place 8 at worlds (so season 2021-2022 was their second season) in my eyes speaks volumes of what will be coming from CF in the future. read more

Cheerforce is more than a cheer gym. My daughter has learned so much and grown so much in the last two years. The coaches truly care about the athletes but also teach them how to work hard and have fun doing something they love. The friendships that have developed through cheer are unlike any other. Our daughter genuinely wants to be at the gym everyday to work hard, see her friends, and be with her coaches. Cheerforce is more than just competitive cheer though. They have classes for all skill levels, birthday parties, non travel and travel teams. My daughter had her 8th and 9th birthday party here. It was so fun for all ages. They go above and beyond to make sure the birthday kiddo is happy. Dee Dee, the owner, even went out of her way to make my daughter and her friends bows for the special day. If that isn't above and beyond I don't know what is. Cheerforce is really more like a family than anything and we are so happy to be apart of it. read more

This is my daughter's 6th year competing in Elite cheer, 3rd year for this gym and 3rd for the previous and I have had nothing but a positive experience. Safety in cheerleading is the number one aspect I look for and this gym meets this to a tee. My daughter has been taught correct technique and has moved through prep to level 2 at the correct pace all the while creating a safest experience for my athlete. Being a former cheerleader myself, I'm very happy with my child's career here and look forward to many more years. 5 stars. Highly recommend. read more

My daughter started with DSE and had moved thru the different programs now on elite travel. 2020 was a rough year for everyone and between Covid and the change of ownership CF AZ had its bumps along the way. However, you can tell the core of the gym is kind, supportive and the ownership has learned a lot of lessons in the past year. This season is already off to a better start. The coaches want the best for the athletes. Most importantly the gym is safe, clean and a positive group of athletes. They continually belittle and bully these kids regardless of how little they are. The owner is full of lies and she had her friends and other staff members write these fake 5 star reviews. I would be SHOCKED if they survived this year. I don't know anyone who plans to return. They are better off closing their doors and going back to CA where they belong. My 3 daughters have been attending classes and on cheer teams at this gym for 3 years now. We absolutely love it. They cultivate a team atmosphere and focus on personal growth with each athlete. The coaches are professional and encouraging. The parents and athletes are kind and supportive. I'm so happy with the new owner! We loved Desert Storm and the transition to Cheerforce has been seamless the past year because the new owner and previous owner are friends and are both highly involved in the Cheerforce gym! As a former tennis coach I am very picky about the types of activities and coaches I have around my children and Cheerforce is exactly the type of atmosphere I want my girls in!
