Great atmosphere, wonderful entertainment and very helpful and friendly staff. Wonderful venue to spend a couple of hours with family and friends. Don't think there is a bad seat in the house. The entertainment was wonderful and complimented by an excellent and helpful staff. From the moment you walk thru the door, to your seat and thru the food service. Top notch staff. Will return again, no question about it.

My lady and I enjoyed our return to the Silver Star after 3 years. We chose the Ultimate Hits show featuring rock hits from the 60's, 70's and 80's. When we arrived this past Friday (August 4th) evening, we noticed the bar was no longer there. We were informed that our servers (they were wonderful, not to mention efficient) would be available to take cocktail orders at our table and this worked out fine. The buffet was still there and the fare was good overall except for the pasta which was fairly salty. Their famous layered chocolate cream cake was delicious as always and our iced water tumblers were never empty. The show was absolutely fantastic as always with the exception of the underwhelming jokes. The artists were enthusiastic and had no problem getting us audience members to engage with them. The various song selections were well sung and played and much appreciated by those of us in the audience. The band and vocalists were at the TOP of their game during this Ultimate Hits show! Note: The Elvis impersonator was damned good! A BIG thank you to the band, vocalists and the outstanding staff at The Silver Star! We're looking forward to attending additional shows in the near future!

Green salad, eggs, beets, red onion, croutons, and crackers. Ranch dressing, of course...fresh fruit. Actually a nice salad.

Look, it's not Branson. It's not in the same atmosphere as Vegas...it's Mesa. But it was fun and pretty OK food. Such awesome hostesses and servers. We had a fun date night and are planning to bring the whole family next time and enjoy ourselves again! So yes, I'd recommend the Silver Star Theater. 4 star because the food was average to middlin'. Food: I would say if you're a foodie, this is not the place for you. If you just want something to taste ok and fill you up, you're home Just think high school cafeteria food vibes. The food was nice and hot. The rolls were warm. The salad bar was your average salad bar dressings came in packets. The fruit on the salad bar, I would say, would be your average Costco tub or cut-up fruit. The drinks were served with a smile. The chocolate cake is served at your table before you get there, so if you want to eat dessert first, you're in luck! Service: Everyone was super friendly, and my husband and I were the only brown middle-aged couple there. Our server was nice, and so were the hostesses and other kitchen helpers. Ambiance: I would say the perfect temperature and the lighting was nice and soft. It wasn't a loud crowd, so that was nice. There is also a store, lols. They know their audience!

The museum features five thoughtfully curated galleries, each with its own distinct personality, showcasing everything from emerging local talent to nationally and internationally recognized artists. What I really appreciated is how immersive the experience feels--you're not just walking past art, you're engaging with it. The variety of mediums keeps things interesting, from traditional works to more experimental and contemporary pieces. It's the kind of place where you can take your time, learn something new, and still have fun doing it. Another highlight is the artist cooperative gallery nearby, which adds a more personal, community-driven touch. It's a great way to see and even support local artists, making the whole visit feel more connected and meaningful. Overall, it's a beautifully curated space that manages to be both intellectually stimulating and genuinely enjoyable. Whether you're an art enthusiast or just looking for something different to do, this museum is absolutely worth exploring.

And I think the sound system makes me sound even better than I really am!! lol The lobby area is spacious and great for after-ceremony gatherings. It truly is a great place! We purchased tickets for the Thursday, January 8th show. We arrived a bit early on the day of the show. It was our first time at Hale and we wanted to be prepared. We were directed to a side entrance where they usually have their music shows. I knew the theatre was small, but was still surprised to see how intimate it was. I didn't mind it. The theatre sells concessions before the show and during intermission. We didn't purchase any. The show was phenomenal! The band and the singers were very talented and put on a fantastic performance. They nailed the original voices, which is not easy, and even hit some of the high notes. It took us back to the disco days of the 70s. We can't wait to catch another show at Hale Center Theatre!

Downtown Gilbert 10/5 The Town of Gilbert has done a spectacular job of its downtown revitalization planning with the it's building repurposing and new development architecture requirements and marketing that has attracted some great companies making it a destination for fun, food, entertainment and shopping. It's always nice to take a bench for a bit to take in the beautiful Gilbert tower at night while enjoying the last of our gorgeous Senorian desert weather before summer! Complimenting the tower is the Theaters markee, brightly lit and a throwback to the days when entertainment and theater were central to an evening out. Venue 5/5 There are really no bad seats as the venue is well designed for sound and a more quaint experience. Performance 5/5 The "Always Patsy Cline" production was excellent. The show artfully told her story, a humble performer who gained national notoriety but was taken at a tender age of 30 in 1963 from a plane crash on her journey home from a performance. I became a fan of hers and other country artists of this period after moving to Arizona. This period was full of names, voices and lyrics that for me epitomized the charm and perhaps the innocence of early America my parents enjoyed and a little before my time. You don't want to be late because once the doors are closed, you will wait in the lobby for a break in the program before the ushers will allow you to enter. Thankfully I'm not speaking from experience, but my mom clued me in that this had happened to her in the past. There is NO parking at or with the theater venue. You will have to be resourceful and find other options. Again, arrive at least an hour early to find parking and make your way to the venue. The streets around the theater will be packed. Car traffic will be at a standstill and lots of pedestrians will hold up traffic at every lighted intersection. We used a parking app called SpotHero to reserve a space at the hotel caddy corner to the theater. Despite reserving and paying for the space in advance and arriving early, we were stuck in traffic circling around the block to get to the valet drop off at the front of the hotel. It took us over 30 minutes to be served by the valet because there was a long line of cars hoping to use the service. Once at the theater, there were two lines around the block on both sides of the building! These were people lining up to get their will call tickets and others lining up to show their ticket to go inside. The queue took another 20 minutes. Thankfully, we made it inside to our seats right on time. However, it seems management decided to start the show late because of the large number of people still waiting outside in line to get inside!!! We saw the Phoenix Symphony perform on this occasion. One thing that was extraordinary about the performance was the presence of a harpsichord on stage. This instrument was often used during the Renaissance and Baroque ages. Since the concert we saw had a lot of Baroque period pieces, this instrument was an amazing addition to the performance. The conductor was from another state and had collaborated with the local symphony in advance to put on this unique holiday arrangement. He had a biography on the website and a link to a video where he discussed his collaboration and musical arrangement. He was so passionate about the work he did. I was excited to see the performance, and he did not disappoint. The symphony was on stage, so it was somewhat difficult to see them. We brought binoculars to get a better view, but unfortunately the harpsichord and the pianist playing it were behind the conductor, so you couldn't really see her play. I wished that they had her up front and turned to the side or had a camera projecting her fingers playing the instrument so that we could see it closer. There were several performers that cane and went from the stage during the show. The soloists were beautiful and projected well throughout the hall. I love the beauty of this old venue, but it does require advanced planning to get to a performance in a timely manner. Keep that in mind, and you will surely enjoy the show.

Located downtown, they don't have a parking lot so you either have to pay for metered parking on the street or park in a parking garage. Lack of accessible (and free) parking is usually a detriment for me, but this theatre is so amazing that I can't help but give them five stars. There are several Orpheum Theatre's across the country. This one is stunning on the inside and outside (especially on the inside). Going through security was quick and painless and I was able to bring an empty water bottle (gotta stay hydrated in Phoenix). Upon entering the venue, I was taken aback by the old school charm of this theatre. The architecture is absolutely stunning, both in the lobby areas and the theatre itself. Pretty much every city has an old school theatre, this is Phoenix's version (and it's an amazing one). In terms of concessions, even though I didn't by any, I noticed that they have your typical full bar featuring adult beverages and soft drinks. You can't get a full meal here, but they do have some snacks. All of the ushers and everyone I interacted with was friendly. Orpheum Theatre holds various events ranging from ballets like the one I attended to concerts to comedy shows and more. I can't wait to return for my next event!
