As the self-appointed king of events, I'm back at it with another one. Celebrity Theatre, while not a spot where celebrities congregate, does have a decorated history as a long standing event venue. In fact, it's one of the oldest venues with a rotating stage. I've stopped by on numerous occasions to see both concerts and comedy shows, with the most recent being the king of sax, Kenny G. Celebrity has a paid parking lot but I'm not about that life so I park on the street for free and walk a few minutes over. The neighborhood surrounding the venue is a little sketch, but I've never had any issues. Now, for the venue itself. A rotating stage is nice because there's no bad seat in the house. It's a pretty intimate venue to begin with, and even better with the stage. That part is awesome. What's not so awesome is the space in between seats. If you're tall like me, I'm 6'2", you're going to be cramped. People were shorter back in the day. When it comes to concessions, limited options but pretty much standard fare. A couple of beer options, small and big, which I've done, wine, and some snacks. While Celebrity Theatre has some faults, they bring in some good acts. read more

Went last night to hear Marshall Tucker Band. Two couples came in and sat behind us. All were inebriated beyond belief, but they were allowed to keep buying more alcohol. The chair to my right was empty. One of the women decided she needed to kick it repeatedly. I kindly explained I am still recovering from stomach surgery and that was painful for me. She stopped for a bit, but after intermission and more booze, she made a sport of it. I again asked her to stop. Then the woman she was with (sister?) started mouthing off. One of the men they were with went for more booze and got lost (really? It's a tiny place!). The group hooted and yelled for him until the other man went and physically got him. My husband and I did not drink ANYTHING, by the way. We finally had enough and left about halfway through MTB. Security and an employee of Celebrity were notified. All we got was "sorry". They didn't make any effort to even check on the situation. We won't spend the money and time to just be hassled and abused by drunken bullies. Sooo disappointed!! Celebrity used to be one of my favorite venues. I will never recommend it to anyone and am very doubtful I will return. Shame on Celebrity Theatre for not caring and for selling obviously drunk people more alcohol!! If I could give negative stars, I would. read more

It had been years since I had last seen a show here. It was a group of us 4 ready to see Aly and AJ. We arrived about 15 minutes before the opening act and there was plenty of parking. We walked on over to the "will call" area and here I was given our 4 tickets. The ticket worker was friendly and told us to enjoy the show after he handed them to me. We went through security, got our 21+ stamps and we headed on inside via the lounge area. We bought two drinks - one pumpkin espresso martini and one white chocolate cold brew. Both drinks were good, and the bartender was nice. The espresso martini was stronggggggg and I deff had a buzz going on after I finished it. Merch was being sold down in this area as well and there were plenty of seats and tables. We went inside once the opener started singing and we had pretty good seats. The seats were comfy but a little too small in my opinion. The sound sounded great. The concert was fun and the experience was good. I wouldn't mind seeing another show here in the future! read more

Atmosphere 5/5 It's been twenty years or so since our last visit to see Dwight Yoakam. A few things have improved including lighting, sound. Let me start with saying Jimmy Carr was fantastic! This review is not about him. This theater is so dated. I came here in my teens and twenties and it was old then! It was erected in 1964. It seems not much has been done since! One plus is there is no bad seat as far as seeing who's on stage. The negative is, our seat last night was the farthest top seating and the ceiling above was low. Very low. I was sweating like an animal and I'm not usually running warm like that! Huge lack of circulation. The seats are very tight leaving little space for knee comfort. There was a lack of section and seat labeling. Hard to tell where we were. Carpet was old. Paint was old. Overall,,,,, It NEEDS an update. It's such an iconic theater that really has much potential. I hope someone puts some money in this place to make it what it could be. read more

This theater is OLD!! It's in serious need of updating! The seating arrangement is in a circular layout so any seat is good. But.... The seats are hella small and seriously close to the row in front of you. There is zero leg room. I'm only 5'5 and my knees were jammed up against seat in front of me. I ended up leaving event after about an hour because I was so uncomfortable!! My husband is 6'2 and he was miserable. I will not attend any future events there. read more

Celebrity Theatre is ok. As long as you have good seats it's not bad but we've had seats in the back before and the view isn't very good. The service is good but slow. Drinks are strong. Parking is a disaster. Don't park in the lot next to the theater. Nobody is there directing cars at all and when we left there were literally cars parked 4-5 deep so you couldn't leave. We just saw comedian Stavros Halkias at Celebrity theater in Phx for his Steamboat Tour. First off, the show itself was 5 stars all the way. Absolutely hilarious, non stop laughing from start to end. If you're unfamiliar with this comedian I highly recommend you check him out. His crowd work and jokes are really good. The theater itself is interesting for a stand up comedy show. Since it's circular you spend some of the time looking at the person from behind. He commented on this in a joke. Also, depending on the seats, you might have a wall obstructing your view and it was pretty packed and hot in there. So, venue was okay but the show was excellent so I'll give 4 stars. read more

We came and saw Brett Young here. I really like how small this venue was. The rotating stage was neat as well. Plenty of parking. The bar was okay. Very weak margarita. Tasted watered down. Service was friendly tho and they had a lot of security around. I'd go to another concert here. read more

First time here! The drinks range $15-25 not bad and they are strong! The hotdogs are good, all beef! They have popcorn, kettle corns pretzels and other snacks! Bartenders were nice. Tickets were a bit confusing, section shows as assigned seats but they when you go you can pick any of the red chairs up top. Which we probably got a better seat by doing that. Great venue overall! It definitely gets hot in the summer, so make sure to bring a sealed water bottle (up to a gallon) - they won't let you in if it's already opened. There's a clear bag policy, and I recommend arriving early or taking a Lyft to snag a good parking spot and easy front access. Other than that, it's an awesome spot with plenty of bathrooms, food options, and drinks to keep you going all night. read more

The sound I complained about was 1000x better, the lighting seemed much more professional & there werent the annoying nazis with flashlights constantly running around the audience. My guest and I went to see "Killers of Kill Tony", on April 25, 2026. The rudest people ever sat next to us. They talked the whole time. I mean constantly voicing her opinion and trying to talk to neighboring patrons. She recorded performers when that's clearly unacceptable and expressed before the show. We asked them politely to stop interrupting the show. They were rude and her response was more of an ignorant reaction. We asked both the ushers and security to resolve the issue on two separate occasions. Maybe move us? Escort them out as recording is not allowed! Nothing was done. We talked to another (third) employee about it one last time for resolution and she said to call the next day. We finally decided to leave early and contact celebrity theater directly via phone as instructed. I spoke to a gentleman who assured me that his manager would contact me. I called two days after the promise of hearing from a manager. The sales gentleman said I should hear from his manager soon, It's been over a week now. I haven't heard a peep from them. My guest and I are very frustrated! I just wanted to show him a wonderful time for his birthday as he is an huge Tony Hinchcliffe fan and the guest comedians he's promoted. Have not been to Celebrity Theater in over 30 years. Heard it had been renovated. Bought several tickets to see the Al Di Meola Concert. He is a phenomenal artist and I was looking forward to this concert. The show was exceptional, unfortunately, the theater is a dump. The unique feature of the theater is that the stage rotates. It did not rotate. Section A-4 Rows 4 through 8 Seats 1 through 6 were in the down draft for air conditioning and fans. Had to go to the car to get some jackets and it's over 100 degrees outside. Parking is $10, the security guards screen you with a wand, there is a clear bag policy. I will see Al Di Meola again when he comes to town. Unfortunately, I will not be going back to the Celebrity Theater. read more

My first time here and I've lived in Phoenix and East Valley for almost 30 years now?? Definitely a seasoned venue. When was this place built??? Anyway. Went for a RUff MMA fight which was fun. There were adequate snacks and drinks and concessions. Our 2 beers 2 pretzels and a water was about $60 which I guess is what we'd come to expect of a venue. No bells and whistles here though. Nothing lavish whatsoever. Just a dirt parking lot and some folding chairs inside. Sound system was on point and staff was very helpful and friendly! read more

I haven't been to this venue in years. However, I think they're actively doing more to host events. In the last 9 months, I've been to six events. Two of the nights were for nationally known stand-up comedians and four were concerts. The performance space is unique in that it's designed as a theater in the round. I've yet to see a performance where they take advantage of the stages ability to rotate 360°. I am sure one of the challenges of booking this entertainment space is the relatively small size. However, this makes the performances you see here see more intimate. Even the farthest seats from the stage are only maybe 45 or 50 rows back. One of the minuses of of the celebrity theater is it location. After the comedian ended around 10pm, I heard several people trying to figure out where there might be a nearby neighborhood bar to get a drink and keep socializing. However, the downstairs bar at Celebrity Theater closes right when the event is over. I wish they would keep this bar area open for another hour after events like comedians that are over fairly early in the evening. A simple announcement that there is a downstairs bar open for another hour with additional bathrooms would also decrease the long lines for the upstairs bathrooms on the way out of the venue. read more

Due to the parking nightmare the event started 45 minutes late. So there is an hour long line to park, then a 30 line to wait in to get inside. You have to wait in line again to get a drink stamp and of course the blood all over the floor in from of the women's bathroom was awesome. What a shit hole! read more

**You need $10 cash for parking** My first time to Celebrity Theatre and I was a great time. The sound was great and my seat was great too. I sat to the side of the stage, row 14(?), section 9A, seats 3 and 4. The stage did not rotate this time around, but I've heard it does and can be quite an experience. These seats are also very close to the entrance and the bar. I had read that the parking and bathroom lines can be a horror, but the bathroom, which is tucked in a corner to the left of seating and I didn't have an issue. I also left during the second encore and was able to leave the paring lot without waiting. I can't wait to see what their future line ups are, I wouldn't hesitate to come back for more concerts. read more

Restrooms were clean and the set up has round circular stage in the middle with seating spreading out from it so it looks like a daisy. The chairs probably need to be replaced, but if you're at a concert, who's sitting down, not me :) The venue is wheelchair accessible, even though there are a few stairs here and there. The concert featured Leelah James, Brian Culbertson & the Queen herself Ms Patti LaBelle, who unfortunately was recovering from the flu, but as a true Queen and lover of her fans, came out and performed the whole show. She definitely was not at her best, but there was some eagle flying, kicking off her shoes, a couple of outfit changes and loving on her fans with what she could and had left considering she was definitely under the weather. Brian Culbertson and his band was phenomenal. I definitely would have been OK if he did the whole concert. He is a GEM!!! and a God save for Patti that night. Leela James and her sexy Juke Joint voice had me up and dancing the whole time of her performance. She was great. Thoroughly enjoyed myself, but was a little disappointed that Ms Patti was not 100%. My wife and I went to Celebrity Theater last night to see Aziz Ansari and we had an amazing time! The theater was half empty about 5 minutes before the show was scheduled to start but by the time Aziz came out after his openers did their sets it was a packed house! They closed the area directly behind the stage and consequently the stage didnt rotate but even the worst seats in the house would have you way closer than most venues (I believe it said on their website that every seat is within 70 feet of the stage). That being said if you're tall, a bigger person or any combination of the two there is a good chance you will be very uncomfortable with how small and close together the seats are. I'm 5'11 270 and It was all I could do to get into my seat without breaking off my knee caps and I saw plenty of men who were 6 feet and up, skinny as a bean pole whose knees were smashed up against the seats in front of them looking miserable so that would be my only complaint and what I would think people would find helpful before they buy a seat. The show was hilarious, we had an amazing time and I've never seen an elite world renowned comedian like Aziz more close up and personal! read more

Fantastic service here! The venue is close and personal, and staff is some of the best I've seen in the events. The special deal menu was fantastic and all the drinks looked amazing, and I experienced more than 1. This is a great venue and I'd definitely suggest checking out their other events, as they handle events extremely well. read more

The Venue still remains ideal for the more "personal/intimate" show whether it's a comedy, musical performance, sporting (was good for boxing pre-pandemic), or something a little "different". Sign up for the newsletter via email to see what artists are coming. I always recommend paying the extra $$ for "A" Section seating as the B section has to deal with all the people walking around the venue. Parking & Security was pretty efficient this last go round, however, they only had it about 50-60% to capacity... No complaints as that made getting cocktails, using the restroom and navigating the parking lot more doable. Expect to spend $10 for parking (probably changes based on the artist & capacity & have cash) and another $40 for 2 drinks. I always go for the "double" to minimize my trips. I've not had any issues with the Venue and they've done a good job to mitigate most of the issues based on the Artist's response (starting late, etc...) Seating however is still cramped with the folding seats (which i don't mind as most tend to stand Previously, staffing at the bar was my issue due to long lines for drinks, but many people forget to use the downstairs bar which has been staffed well. One knock, bartender inconsistency with how a cocktail-style drink is made from server to server. I had a really good one (margarita), then ordered the same thing and it was trash... went for a 3rd and it was in between. I like this place as it can be "personal & fun" when it comes to an event. No seat is more than 70 feet is the slogan... My advice, just pay the extra for the "A Ring" section and cut that distance in half! Less disruptive experience!! Borderline with 4 Stars... read more

This is a small, intimate venue which offers an up close experience for the audience. As a con, there were several open seats after the concert began. This allowed guests to switch seats and unfortunately we had a bad situation when a couple moved all over the theater and in our case sat directly in front of us making it difficult to see. They need to come up with a way to manage seat switching so that those of us who stay in our selected seats are not burdened by the inconsiderate spawns of the world. read more

Went to see the Rocky Horror presented by Barry Bostwick and paid extra for the VIP experience. Firstly I will say their Customer Service was fantastic prior to sale; first time buying tickets at Celebrity and to be honest I did find the information about the event lacking in details. I read up on the show from a press article and purchased the VIP experiences first; not knowing that the tickets which I needed to purchase separately ended up being locked down with a secret password for a presale. The email on the website provided me with the help I needed to purchase some tickets nice and close to the stage. Now from here there was a lack of information about what the VIP details were, we had no information about what was acceptable to bring inside. There was no information in the emails or FAQs on the website; the emails provided in the emails did not work. But the website email for help works. On the day though, most everything was run like clockwork except for a few items. The VIP experience included bringing in one item for Barry to sign in the meet n greet. However, there was some confusion with security if the items we had were allowed in? But that was quickly sorted. So for anyone who purchases VIP experiences for the shows - here is all the missing information that I could not find out until I arrived. Parking - There is a huge parking lot for the theater, some reviews mention that parking is limited, the parking lot was about half full when we left and the show's layout only took over about half of the theater. Expect stairs down or up to gain entry. Wheelchair access needs a little co-ordination by the security team on the front upper entrance, which is not the entrance used. Entrance is to the left of the building, down some outdoor stairs. This leads to ticket booths and outdoor security. There was a clear bag policy in effect although many people had regular purses. There is a no re-entry policy. After security, you enter into a large bar area with a small outdoor patio. The facility opened a lot earlier than advertised. We got there almost an hour before opening and there was about 40 people there and the entrance and main bar was open. For the VIP experience; firstly you need to do a will-call in the outdoor ticket booths and get your lanyard, something we only found out later on as there was no instructions on our receipts or e-tickets. This meant security needed to escort me back outside as there are no re-entry once you leave the building. You will line up along the wall as you walk into the building on the right, which is also to the right of the bar. We had to ask many people to see who knew about the VIP experience and after a while, we found one lead security person who knew the process; which was handy as this meant we were first in line. Once we communicated with other VIP lanyard wearers, things started to move a little better and the line started to form. The process for the VIP experience was also a well kept secret, so much so - that just after the time the VIP experience was supposed to start, security ushered myself and my wife to go backstage and follow the corridors until we reached the only open doors to the green room. So we walked alone around backstage and suddenly bumped into the only person back there who was lost, Barry Bostwick. This was fantastic to be honest. We got a chance to escort Barry to the green room and have some quality time talking about his role with Rocky Horror, family, kids and travels while the staff kind of figured out a system to let other people in. Well worth the money. Now to the performance. My biggest disappointment with this theater is that you are penalized for paying more and wanting to be in the sections near the central stage. The seats are folding chairs which are screwed down, they have less leg room then a cheap airline. My knees where in the backside of the person in front and the person behind me had their knees in my back. Remember, with our VIP experience we were allowed to bring in items for Barry to sign and the theater has a no re-entry policy to drop the items back at the car, so we had no where of putting them anywhere throughout the performance as there was no floor space. I dropped my phone and to look down to find it, my head was now in the person's back who was sitting in front. The seating in the upper decks looked more comfortable, but was roped off and empty. I spent half the performance standing at the bar which had a great view of the stage and a surface to hold my drinks. read more

This is a fun place to see a show. I've only ever been to concerts, but they also do comedy shows. The setup is a circular central stage with 360 degrees of seats around it. I've seen a show where the stage rotated and people sat all around, which was cool. I've also seen the stage stay in place, where the venue only sold tickets for seats in front of or on the sides of the stage. Either way, it's cool and the sound works well. My one real complaint is the parking situation. It's always $10, cash only, but I don't see a reason why it should have this cost. There's plenty of space. For this reason, you should carpool if you're coming with a friend. The line for the women's restroom gets long during intermissions and just before/after shows, but that's every venue. All in all, I expect I'll come back here next time someone I want to see hits them up on tour. read more

We went to see Chicago and spent the money for VIP tickets and it was well worth it! They played awesome and the experience was one of our best. I only wish they had a better bar experience for those who spend the extra money to buy VIP, that said Sonny was a great bartender and did his best to take care of me and everyone else! The Samantha Fish concert September 13th was awful. The sound engineer should be fired. I couldn't understand a word she sang. It sounded like she was just screeching. The mix was awful. I couldn't hear the keyboard player at all and the bass was basically non- existent. The vocals were way to high. I have attended over a hundred concerts, and this was one of the worst. The opening band was just fine. I don't understand what happened with her sound people. Hopefully they can fix. Not in a big hurry to attend another concert at the Celebrity Theater. read more

Warnings: - get there early, parking was terrible. There was one lot to park. Took us 30 minutes to get in. Only one person collecting payment - don't bring a purse or bag. They turned tons of women away. We ended up letting multiple people put their purses in our car bc they had nothing else to do - seats were not in the right order. We had seats 9 and 10. They were not next to each other. It went 10, 13, 12, 11, 9 Besides this the venue had great views from nearly every seat. The comedians were hilarious read more

Horrible/Terrible Management Team! Events are good. Just don't get hurt on the premises. Or have someone drop a large container on your head while you are seated in your chair. Or let your family get injured. They do not care, they do not respond, and they are practically begging you to sue them! read more

I like this place no matter where you sit you have a clear view of the stage. Heavy handed with the drinks I loved that . Only downside takes a long time to get into the venue . read more
