A year later and we are still dealing with an unsatisfactory resolution with the owner after being oversold and misled by his sales staff.

We were still undecided when we received a call from Jake, the owner of Modern Resolution. He answered some questions we had from his sales rep's presentation and decided it would be best for him to see our house to respond to a couple of concerns we had. We did research and found that the Anlin windows he proposed were highly rated. Jake gave us a good price and we signed a contract. We had a very short delay in getting our windows installed due to the end of the year holidays. The install went well. It was very impressive how hard the installers worked. They were on time every day and were very careful of not damaging anything in our home, including the floor. Per Jake's recommendation, we had a combination of retrofit and new windows installed. The new windows required chopping out some stucco. After those windows were installed, new stucco was put on immediately. Modern Resolution had a great employee named Luis paint all of the new stucco. That was one of the reasons we went with Modern Resolution as most other window companies we spoke with said we were responsible for any painting required after the install. We had a couple of small issues, such as a bathroom screen missing. (it was found in the warehouse behind a box) but Jake always took care of those in a timely fashion. We were shocked how much outside noise was reduced by our new windows and sliders along with the utility savings! Also, it was surprising how nice the windows looked from the inside. If we would have known what a great job we would get from Modern Resolution, we would have replaced our windows much sooner! Thank you, Jake!

He guided us through all the options with some recommendations. He was great, very knowledgeable and there was no pressure. The windows came in a little earlier than estimated and Jamie got us scheduled very easily for the install. Adam and his crew completed the install on a very hot day in June. They worked efficiently, even though I believe they may have been short handed that day. Again, the install was completed in a shorter time than promised and the work they did was so professional. Just a few scuffs to paint here and there which are to be expected with a big job like this, so no problem there at all. The windows have completely elevated the look of our home. I learned my HOA required one additional window to be replaced (entire sides of the house had to be done at a time). I asked them to come out and measure that additional window and collect payment. I called and emailed for weeks and the sales person finally got back asking if the owner got in touch with me. I am nearly 5 months in and I cannot get them to respond to email or phone calls and now have to chase them down through the credit card company. Stay away, I now see why they closed down their old business and started fresh last year.

Pricewise, from the companies we interviewed, Tacheny was in the upper mid-range. One of the reasons we opted to go with them is we have Solar panels and they have their own Solar contractors to remove the panels. That saved us about 2K based on pricing from Solar companies that do the same work. There were a couple of issues we noticed after the initial roof repair was completed. We talked to our site manager, Mahkobi, and he looked over the areas of concern and got those fixed. The drywall repair was exceptional and there were no issues whatsoever. Even though we had to address some of the roofing issues, I felt the office and site manager kept us in the loop, listened to our concerns and addressed the issues to our satisfaction. I would recommend this company for any exterior work you might need on your home.
