Ever since I found this place back in July, I find myself continuing to come back for their amazing Vietnamese food! I still stand by my previous review and wanted to further update it slightly. My boyfriend and I actually came in yesterday for dinner. However, my main intention was to go and order a decent amount of an appetizer dish for the following day for a potluck at my clinical rotation site as I am currently in pharmacy school. I know for larger orders that a lot of restaurants prefer that you gave them at least a 24-hour notice just so that they can make sure they can prepare your food on time. Because this was somewhat of a last minute decision, I thought I'd ask if I could order 5 orders of the shrimp summer rolls and would not be butt hurt if they told me "no" since it was my fault that I didn't give them enough notice. But alas! They said they were able to do it for me but it might take a bit to make but the wait was worth it. We ordered dinner (2 M3s, which is their rice plate) and Thai teas to sip on while we waited for the big order. The rice plate was so delicious that both my boyfriend and I devoured our plates, with no stones left unturned. We didn't even wait that much longer in my opinion. Once we finished dinner, we probably waited like 5-10 extra minutes and the summer rolls were ready! Our server, Alex, was amazing as usual and always has a smile on his face whenever we see him. He was very attentive to us and made sure that we were enjoying our food! Kudos to Alex, we love you! Hopefully you didn't find it weird when I asked for your name lol. The banh khot is perfect, crispy with a soft coconut richness. Pho bo here is in my top two favorite pho's in viet town- variety of quality meat and spot on with depth of flavor, my only critique is it's slightly on the sweeter side although that's a personal preference. Mi quang is solid, chewy noodles that absorb the broth, tender pork slices, shrimp and quail eggs cooked just right. Overall great experience, would bring my parents with their discerning taste for Vietnamese food here. read more

Stopped there for lunch today for the first time. Ordered the turmeric chicken and rice. Don't freak out, they give you a real chicken, not fake pieces of pressed innards painted with chemicals. I also ordered the chicken pot stickers and a grilled pork sandwich. I typically do not eat pork. It was delicious and the bread perfectly toasted. Of course I did not eat all of the food. They happily gave me boxes to take left overs home. They use corn oil for some of the cooking and not peanut oil. The pork meat is from the shoulder, not the belly. The rice was especially fluffy and flavorful. There is some almond in it. That is what Sam told me. All the food was very fresh and you have the opportunity to make it as spicy as you want with the condiments on the table. That's the way it should be. It's a family run place that belongs to Sam. I chatted with him and met his famy members who help. We need to support this and other family owned places. The food was good and I was treated like family. The prices are also reasonable. Small menu but that's probably because they are a new restaurant. My bf got the egg coffee and he really liked it! He said it was very rich. We ordered an order of banh khot for an appetizer and both got a rice plate. Really loved how they marinate the pork. Very tender and flavorful. Rice to pork ratio was even. I say this because usually when I go to vietnamese restaurants they slap like 2-3 pork slices on your plate a bunch of daikon and veggies and a small portion of rice. As for the rice plate I just tried it was one bowl of rice to one slice of pork. To me that was just the right amount. Service was really nice and friendly. Doesn't look like much when you walk inside but the food was very good! Service was okay but everything we ordered came out fresh and tasty.

My husband and I live in the neighborhood and what a treat to discover this little gem! The restaurant itself was very clean and decorated and furnished very simply with an updated modern feel. The music was also not the typical music you would expect to hear. The staff was attentive and so helpful when it came to explaining the food and giving suggestions on how to eat one of the dishes that we ordered. The food was presented beautifully and simply and tasted so good. We will definitely be back on a regular basis. Great little spot with some outdoor seating on charming Argyle. I have enjoyed everything there over several visits. I wanted to recommend the " sea salt ice coffee in either black or with additional cream ( condensed milk ). If you are visiting little Nam then stop in and grab a coffee while you tour the neighborhood. We recently dined outside here. Right away we were given a table and informed to go back inside once we were ready to order. The tofu summer rolls were *incredible* and they offered great sauces on the side, in cute displays. I ordered a vegetarian bowl with tofu, soy meat, noodles, veggies and broth. It didn't take long to come out and it was so delicious! One recommendation is for the restaurant to offer a few more vegetarian options (what they already is excellent, it leaves one wanting more!). This restaurant is an absolute delight! It's cute, homey and the chef, Sydney is the sweetest. They specialize in central vietnamese dishes with a dash of northern dishes. You need to try the banh khot with tobiko. They are mini savory Vietnamese crepes with shrimp. This is the first bowl of veggie pho I've had that I've liked since I moved to the area in May 2020. Not too many noodles, plenty of broth, and the perfect amount of herbs.
