She is always treated well, like family and has, in fact, become friends with many of the fine folk here. Years back I needed to find a place to get my hair cut, and local barbers were not cutting it (ok poor pun) and I have been coming ever since. I get a hair wash, a glass of wine, or coffee, and treated very well! Like family, certainly a good friend of the family. I now buy hair product from them as well! I should have written a review sooner - a good local business that you should frequent!

Finally got through to someone and she said she'd get back to me with available times that week. Claudel (@claudel_pottle) was in charge of hair, Diana (@beautybydiana.ct) for makeup. I will say, once I saw myself in the mirror I couldn't believe how beautiful I looked! They not only made me look like a beautiful bride, but they also catered to the needs of my maid of honor, bridesmaids, flower girls, and mother. Amazingly, with my mom, she said "do whatever you think would look good" for hair, and Claudel came up with a breathtaking hairdo! Not to mention the hair and makeup stayed put the entire night, some of us into the morning! This was with the high stress of dancing ourselves silly. If you want quality hair and makeup that will make you look like a princess AND stay in place, book with Elle. A second point: Mahnaz, the owner, was originally supposed to do my hair. She unfortunately injured her hand the week of the wedding, but was extremely communicative and helped me get a second trial with Claudel so I was comfortable and confident the day of! While I was sad I would not have Mahnaz there that day, I do hope she has a speedy recovery and is proud of the work her employees did on our special day. They weren't rushed or annoyed about it either. The whole staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in, and I could tell right away that they take pride in what they do. Heidi, my pedicurist, was exceptional. She was kind, attentive, gentle and thorough, and she took her time with every step. I left absolutely (and literally) tickled lol. Clean, professional and really caring service. If you're anywhere near Meriden, this is the place to go, and ask for Heidi. I'll definitely be back.

I haven't gotten my nails done in a long time however I had gone quite frequently in the past to an amazing nail technician and place. One - it's very cold in there. Not too pleasant when you're sitting there for nails, and wearing fairly warm shoes. Two - the "quick dry" spray doesn't dry. Not to put your coat on isn't an option in the winter in New England. Having a place to dry your nails needs to be in place or atleast communicating to your client just sit here for x more minutes then we can check them. And lastly a smooth looking nail is expected when you pay for nails. I do my nails all the time at home the only different is that smooth finish you hope to achieve by a nail technician. The simple nail art did come out beautiful. Honestly, the salon itself is a no for me altogether with a less than average experience. I don't recommend it. I can be more specific of other issues but I honestly don't like leaving these kinds of reviews. I think the salon owner needs to pay more attention to details while there are far too many nail salons to choose from that capitalize on one of these issues. I ended up going with a hot stone massage (because I always do) but I liked that she asked the masseuse for options that would suit me. Also note that they do manicures and pedicures here too. As with all massages, if it's your first time get there a few mins early to fill out some paperwork. They have a nice little seating area in the front.We started right on time and Pam was the best! She was really nice and gave an excellent massage, adjusting the heat of the stones and the pressure she applied to fit my needs. The room had soothing music and I dozed off a little near the end. I left completely relaxed, happy, and with the tension gone from my shoulders. Excellent service and wonderful people. I highly recommend this place.

The facial was so relaxing that I literally fell asleep and she told me I was sleep mumbling when she told me i legit thought she was joking but apparently not lol. My skin and beard were pampered with care and I could both feel and see the difference afterwards. Corinthian was down to earth, funny and easy to talk to. the session went smooth like shea butter . I was nervous at first about the chemicals and what not because I've only seen facials on tv and social media . What really impressed me was not only is she an esthetician she told me she is also an RN which made me at ease knowing she understands skin on both a cosmetic and clinical level, so I had full confidence..
