DO NOT DO IT. I…read moreordered an engine at the end of May 2026 to perhaps the first week of April as my truck had broken down in West Virginia four hours from my home. The engine showed up in a timely fashion but was not the correct version of the 3RZ-FE Engine for the 2001 Toyota Tacoma Pre-runner which I own. I called and explained that someone would need to send another engine, went through the warranty process of taking all required pictures (or having the shop staff do it from out of state), the pictures clearly showed the thickness difference of the Camshaft Reluctor (which is what the Camshaft Position Sensor reads to tell the truck's brain that it is running correctly and able to monitor the timing of the engine). When I got the second engine it was identical to the first. I called the customer service phone number three times today. The first two times I was told to call back and talk to the person who would be coming in at 10 A.M. as he has more technical experience. When I was explaining to him again that he sent the wrong engine, that someone was going to have to get into the warehouse and look at what engine was in the crate rather than sending one without looking, and the reason why (that there are three different ignition and timing systems for a first generation Toyota Tacoma 2.7L Pickup 1994-1997, 1998-2000, and 2001-2004) He screamed at me and he told me that he had a truck the same year as mine and that there "must be something wrong with my truck and that he wanted to take my engine back and install it in his and that he wanted to bet me money on that fact." DO NOT PURCHASE from this company. When I told him that I expected compensation for my lost time, the labor to install the incorrect engine and the rental cars I have had to use over the last 2 months he got louder. I just hung up on him. What was amusing was that the bill of lading for the second wrong engine showed up in my email in rapid succession after the conversation I had. I will be following up on receiving the money owed to me with vigor. I CANNOT SAY IT ENOUGH. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY SHOULD NOT BE IN THIS BUSINESS. THEY ARE NOT REPUTABLE OR KNOWLEDGABLE. THEY CANNOT DISCERN DIFFERENCES IN INTERNAL ENGINE PARTS. THEY JUST KNOW WHAT BOLTS INTO YOUR CAR AND SEND IT AND IT MAY OR MAY NOT WORK.

It's easy to install, takes less than 5 minutes and it's a nice little extra service to offer. I just left AutoZone, Clifton and the kid behind the counter said, "You can buy it but I'm not going out there. It's too cold." I don't suggest coming to this AutoZone. On second thought Advance Auto is begining to look better and better. Maybe they should offer customer service skills class and let Ian S. sit in the front of the classroom. It can't hurt.

I have visited this location on three different occasions for simple assistance with my headlights…read moreand other minor issues. Each time, I've encountered staff who are unhelpful and seem inexperienced. They appear to lack basic knowledge about the products they sell. On two occasions, I specifically asked for help with adjusting my headlights. While I'm not a car expert, like many people in America, I drive daily and expect staff at such an establishment to have a fundamental understanding of how to install headlights. Unfortunately, this has been a recurring issue. Additionally, the customer service at the desk has been consistently subpar and unprofessional.

ordering an engine through JDM was the worst experience I have ever had with any retail or service…read more poor customer service. they sold us a blew up engine and claimed it passed inspection and pressure testing. it never was even put into the car the hole in it was so obvious. we sent them pictures and the took weeks to resond to us and kept on passing it off sayong they needed to talk to their supervisor and no supervisor would ever call us back. This engine was supposed to be cove under warranty but they did not honor it. we lost out on a significant amount of money and still don't have an engine for the car. never buy from them. they are a middle man that doesn't stand behind the quality of products the sell. I am going to report this unethical business practice.

All in all I will not be purchasing ANYTHING from this location ever again. 0 stars but 1 by default.

Called these guys up after seeing a posting for some cylinder heads they had up on car-part.com,…read moregot a hold of them to confirm and was asked to come by and leave a deposit after being transferred a few times (which was kind of weird, but not off-putting by any means). Showed up and the road felt a little sketchy but when I called, they were very willing to direct me to their office all the way at the end of the street (my navigation told me it was further up the road). Quickly found the part, no bait-and-switch there like some places would do. It was located in their New York yard but they had it actually pulled and shipped all the way down to Keyport, New Jersey by 11AM the next morning (note I came to put a deposit on the parts an hour before closing the day before). No extra charge for shipping, price was good, the parts matched exactly what I needed and even came with an extra set of valve covers. Printed receipts and gave me a paper trail for every step of the transaction, so I felt they were trustworthy. The only reason I give it four stars is because they weren't willing to negotiate the price at all and had a little bit of a rushed attitude on the phone somewhat. The prices were very fair though; some yards like to charge over MSRP for used junker parts, but these were right on par with what I'd expect to pay at a u-pull-it yard, but I didn't have to worry about pulling or shipping at all. Would definitely buy from them again.

It wouldn't take a genius to gauge these rotors and pads are defective. The store representative is definitely the worst I have seen. He griningly said u should have come on day 1 just after u put them on. Now, we can't do anything. I asked what's the two year warranty/20,000 miles warranty for. He said I don't want to talk and go back n forth without even properly examining the rotors. Now I have a pack of defective rotors and pads, paid twice to get a damn brake job. I would make a deal with devil but not going to buy anything from this store or warehouse. Damn crooks!
