Awesome electrician- super easy going and competent. Only downside is that he is super busy and hard to get urgent appointments. We lucked out when he had an opening and he was able to replace a faulty switch in the kitchen.... and since it was a super easy job he only charged for $40 bucks for the half hour. I first messaged Dan for an estimate about getting some ceiling fans fixed and reinstalled due to a handyman special that went wrong. It took him a bit to reply with a quote, but when I followed up later on he apologized for the delay which I understood since I knew he had a big job during the summer. When I did decide to pursue with the job his quotes were very reasonable and detailed. When he showed up to my house he was on time, courteous, honest and professional. He fixed my ceiling fans, installed a light fixture and changed my plugs in the house. I had some flickering recessed lighting. Called Dan out to diagnose and fix the problem. He showed up on time (actually 5 minutes early) and was very polite and professional. He checked the suspicious bulb and also the dimmer switch. He said the dimmer switch was fine and that the problem was with the LED bulb. He also adjusted the fit on one of the recessed bulbs in the kitchen. He also told us where to go to be sure the replacement bulbs I needed to buy would be exactly the same. (It is hard for me anyway, to get a match after years of not buying any bulbs so this was very helpful.) He left and did not charge for the visit. I pressed him several times about paying for his service but he just asked that I consider him the next time I had need for an electrician. This I will most certainly do! read more

Dan Fuller finished the electrical installation in our Sunroom. This included interior and exterior outlets. As well as ceiling fans. He came to the house the same day to take a look at the job. The same evening he sent us a quote for the job. It was a very reasonable amount for his services. The job was scheduled for the next week and was completed in one day. We are very happy with Dan Fuller Electrical, from first meeting to do the estimate to job completion. We were in the process of a remodel in Modesto and it was time for the electrical and lighting. We had just finished new texture and paint. We knew this was a little (ass) backwards as you usually do that after the electrical/lights, but we had to have it done first b/c the texture person had a cancellation and squeezed us in. I knew this could be a potential annoyance, but it was what it was. Four electricians came out for an estimate to install the following: new outlets above a fireplace to mount the TV, new can lights in the living room/hall, new dimmer switches and additional switches, bathroom can light and fan, a ceiling fan, and additional outlets for the laundry room and fireplace (for new gas insert). One electrician did the walk through but was quite openly perturbed that the place was newly painted. He called back to say he was declining to bid b/c of the new texture and paint. That left me w/ 3 bids. Another literally said maybe 10 words during the entire walk through. Then, his entire estimate came back about 30 words long, leaving me feeling like there was major potential for "additional expenses" or padding. The other was SUPER expensive. Finally, Dan's estimate came back clearly explaining all costs by line item and was also THE most reasonable...we have a winner!! Now, down to the nitty gritty...the job started the following week. He continued to be professional and personable explaining everything that he was doing and asking me questions like where I wanted things located or what order I wanted my switches. He barely disturbed the new paint/texture even though he had to cut into drywall and cleaned up thoroughly after he was done. I only wish that our other contractors did such a great job. Wow...Dan did NOT charge me. I had called from Sacramento about a rental house there in Modesto that appeared to have a bad breaker. He quoted a minimum fee for checking it out, but when he called to report, he said he'd not be charging me. The renters had apparently just plugged in too many appliances or some other minor thing. I called Dan Fuller on a Monday morning with a concern my tenants had informed me of about the electrical breaker shutting off constantly. I explained the situation as it had been related to me to Mr. fuller and he was very polite and professional on the phone. He told me he would go out to the property Wednesday morning and check everything out and give me a call to let me know what he found. Wednesday morning Mr. fuller contacted me promptly and explained the test he had conducted, and the advice he had given to my tenants about having too many things plugged in and running at once. He said nothing was wrong, and it was just an older home that did not have the capacity to carry such a heavy electrical load. When I ask him what I owed him for coming out, he said "nothing"! Needless to say, I was very pleasantly surprised.. He could have charged me, after all, it was his time that he took to drive out and do the inspection. I have had many experiences with home service professionals, and this is by far one of the best! We FINALLY found a good, honest electrician in Dan Fuller. We called and left messages for two other electricians, who did not return our calls. Then, we called Dan Fuller, who, coincidentally, happened to be a couple blocks from our home when he took our call. Even though it was after work hours, Mr. Fuller came to our home, took a look at our electrical switch problem, and fixed it within 15 minutes.
