I never thought I'd say this in regards to lights, but it really is the last place you'll need to look. I called a couple other places and they said they had what I needed, but they didn't sound very certain about it. I needed something very specific - a narrow spot light that was a point source - and they said, "yeah, we have it." Then when I repeated what I needed, she said, "Yeah, we should have something that works." So I called Lights Fantastic and talked to Joe and he said, "I have at least one bulb that fits that description, we definitely have something that will work." So, since I didn't have a lot of time to dilly dally, I went straight to the store. First off, you'll walk into the showroom and it's for all the fixtures. Light fixtures everywhere. I needed the bulb section, so they sent me down the ramp there and in there are just shelves and displays of bulbs. Every bulb you can imagine. For good prices too. We bought some specialty bulbs at Home Depot for $12.99 only to find them here for $8.99. I was amazed. On to the bulb, I needed a point source bulb and I thought I needed a narrow spot, but it turned out that the bulb I chose was a flood. I did need to block out some of the reflector, but the center section was a point source and it fit my application perfectly. We probably looked at about 6 different bulbs before we came across this one and Joe was patient and extremely helpful. I can't say enough good things about this place. It was exactly the help I needed and I got the bulb I needed. You need lights? Fantastic. You've found your place.

He works out of his home. He repaired a beloved 30 year old lamp I have used at my piano since I was around age 30, and then he also fixed back up a late 1950s lamp I bought at an estate sale that needed some updating and minor fixing. Both work great! I brought them back home and sent him photos with the shades on them so he could see how they looked in my house. He charged $45 for the one and $65 for the other and I think that was a very fair price. He does the work well and meticulously so don't expect it back in minutes. Quality and expert repairs are not something that are common today, and I'm willing to pay a good price for someone who knows what he is doing. And clearly loves what he does. He will invite you to sit and chat for awhile if you have the time. Take him your business, you won't be sorry!

This place has amazing customer service!…read more I came here today at the recommendation of a coworker who had been here before. I had happened to ask him if he had ever installed lights in something that did not originally have lights. He is an amazingly talented so it yourself person who actually used to own his own hardware store; so I knew he would have guidance for me. Ends up he had great guidance....He told me to go to LED USA and describe my project to them, and so I did. I had brought home a leaded glass curio cabinet from 1880 and wanted to add lights without compromising the integrity of the piece. The guys helping me got it and step by step walked me through the process to do what I wanted to do! I highly recommend these folks!

I stumbled across Uncommon Market after reading an online recommendation, and I'm really glad I…read moredid! This place is super cool; I was hooked from the moment I walked in the door. It's a giant warehouse packed full of high-quality, unique antiques, building materials, knick knacks, and almost every kind of home decor you can imagine. The owners have spent the last 40+ years collecting almost everything imaginable from across Europe (and some from the US). They have everything from antique tables and chairs to carnival tent decorations. They have a ton of beautiful 19th century armoires, even a massive shelving unit from behind the counter of an 1880s grocery store. You could spend hours wandering around in here just taking it all in. Of note, some of the items are obviously refurbished (they look freshly painted or just too clean to be 100+ years old), but they have a lot of older items as well. As you move to the back of the warehouse, you'll see their massive outdoors section, with vases, tiles, massive doors, etc. They also have an entire section of old luggage, a room filled with random knobs, hinges, and other hardware, and a library filled floor-to-ceiling with old books. The pricing on most items was very fair considering most of the items are genuine antiques. For example, many table sets (including 6 chairs) came in around $1500 or so, with tables for $600-$700 by themselves. There is something here for all price ranges, from a few dollars to tens of thousands, whether it be a 1930s movie projector or some art deco tiles. Overall I thought the pricing was great for what you get. Even if you aren't in the market to buy anything, I highly recommend spending an afternoon just wandering about Uncommon Market.
