Based on my below experience with Dale Greer DDS, I highly recommend finding a dentist who has their patients best interest in mind:
11/18 - Though I had scheduled an appt with Dale Greer DDS, during the two hours I was in his office getting panoramic and full bitewing xrays as well as teeth cleaned, Dr. Greer did not avail himself. I too had clients waiting, so could not continue to wait for Dr. Greer to "say hello", which is how the hygienists phrased it.
During my appt, the hygienist had recommended bonding for a few molars where the gums had receded so notes were made on my chart that I was to return for bonding.
On 4/1, I started experiencing considerable pain on one of the molars so called Dr. Greer's office to schedule the bonding. I was told I had to have an initial consultation with Dr Greer. After explaining I had already been to their office and advised to have the bonding, I was given the earliest appt available which was 4/17. As I was in pain, I asked to be informed if their was earlier availability due to cancellation.
4/17 two hours before my appt which I had driven 2.5 hrs into Dallas for, I receive a call from Dr. Greer's office indicating they were canceling since I did not follow protocol. I was speechless at this unprofessionalism and lack of inconsideration to a patients pain, personal schedule and now further delay finding/scheduling with a new dentist. After indicating I was in shock being cancelled on right before the appt, the receptionist hung up on me while I was asking for my records to be emailed.
When the records were forwarded, only the panoramic and full bitewings were included. When I asked for my full records, Sharon replied via email: "The other documents you completed are records of our office and Dr. Greer. Your new dental office is welcome to contact us if they have questions"
It was only after I sent an email indicating, "as per HIPAA rules, I am requesting a complete copy of my records" were the full records emailed.
After review of the records, I found multiple errors and two entries regarding the patient being money conscious. Further, there was indication I was to return to have the abfractions (recessed molars) treated.
It is shocking, though I paid out of pocket for panoramic and full bitewing xrays and had discussed some cosmetic treatments, that asking for the price of procedures was noted and identified as "money conscientious". My father would be proud.
This was a horrible experience. read more
