Hallelujah, I finally found a good dentist!!!!!! There is a reason this dentist and her staff have a 5 star rating. They are simply the best of the best. I actually first visited Dr. Seely back in 2010 but my insurance changed and she wasn't covered. After many years, I finally got an insurance that she accepted and I went straight back to her. The office is small but in a great location at Preston and Forest. Everyone from the front office staff, dental assistant, dental hygienist and the dentist are great. The dental assistant did a great job cleaning my teeth. She always made sure I was comfortable and that she wasn't hurting me. The office manager went out of her way to verify my benefits to make sure I was covered. When Dr. Seely came to talk to me she just brightens up the room with her personality. She makes you feel like you belong there as part of her family. I'm so glad I was able to see her again. If you can, I would definitely recommend you become her patient. read more

So, I needed a new dentist. Long convoluted reason, but still. New dentist. It'd been about 4 years (I'm embarrassed) since I'd been. Naturally, I ask friends/family and apparently most people I know go to their dentist just because they've been going there forever, not because they *like* the dentist. To Yelp I go! Dr Seely had great reviews and it's a decent half-way point between work and home, so appointments should be easy. Making the appointment was super easy, Mateline (I probably spelled it wrong!) at the front desk is super sweet and she made making the appointment easy. On the day of the appointment, I show up to a wonderful office. Seriously, super nice inside. The outside of the building is a bit misleading (kind of an old school 80s feel) and is attached to a strip mall, but inside it's wonderful! The great experience continued with the dental assistant who took about a million x-rays (like I said, it'd been a while since I'd been to the dentist). Everyone was super reassuring and incredibly nice. The chair has a massager in it! So I was getting a gentle back massage while watching tv. It was amazing. The hygienist, Rebecca, is awesome. She, again, made me feel totally at ease and didn't judge at all for how many cavities I had. All of those "no cavities!" dentist visits as a kid caught up with me because I have...well... a few. Dr Seely came in after that and she was also great. We all talked at length about my teeth and random things. She's super personable. I said that I was feeling really anxious about needing so many fillings (seriously, I'd only ever had 2 before, as a teenager, and they were so so shallow there was no numbing needed). They said they can roll out the nitrous gas for me, if I wanted. I definitely wanted. I had to come back for another cleaning (I swear to god I brush my teeth regularly!), so I scheduled that and one round of fillings. Dr Seely did the fillings first and boy howdy I was numb. I had a topical, I had my nitrous, I had the shots, and most importantly, I had Top Gear on the tv overhead. I barely knew what was going on and it was amazing. If you have any fear of fillings, I 100000% recommend asking for the laughing gas. For the rest of the fillings I need, I'm absolutely getting the laughing gas. I felt like Bill Murray in Caddyshack after it was over, but everything went super well. I highly recommend Dr Seely! She's great, her staff is great, the office is swanky (yet relaxing), and I now have 3 fewer cavities in my mouth. I'll be back to see Dr Seely sooner than I'd like, what with all of my rotten teeth, but I'm glad it's Dr Seely and not someone else. read more

I recently relocated to Dallas so I did a lot of research to find I what I consider is the best dentist in the area. I decided on Dr. Seely and I made the right decision. She is very knowledgeable about the most recent cosmetic approaches, materials, and technology. Plus she is so patient, personable and professional. As an aside, I have sleep apnea and use an oral appliance to treat it. Dr. Seely is also a sleep dentist so she is very knowledgeable about sleep apnea and oral appliances which is a real plus for me. Her staff reflects the same traits she does and they all together made for a great visit from booking the appointment, check up, checking my oral appliance, and cleaning. When I went for my checkup I was told I had 7 cavities. This was a big surprise because at the previous visit to my old dentist I had none. I was assured that they were very small, I wouldn't need novacaine, and I could split these up into 2 visits. Unfortunately, none of this was true. The cavities were bigger when I sat down on the chair and drilling was quite painful. I expressed this to the dentist several times, to which she replied that I was very sensitive and the drilling would be done soon. When I realized she was planning to drill all of the cavities, I insisted on a break and was given Advil. In retrospect I should have told her to stop but I was worried about having a bunch of rough teeth and no fillings. Wait times for 2 out of 3 appointments were greater than 30 minutes, including the return visit to make my bite even after the fillings. read more

My wife and I have been Dr. Seely's patients since 2005 and absolutely love her and the entire staff at her practice. While in college I contemplated a career in dentistry and worked as a dental assistant. The dentist I worked for always said that the best dentists were ones that started their careers as hygienists and Dr. Seely's 10 year stint as a hygienist was the main factor in selecting her as our Dentist. My wife's and my genetics for dental issues could not be any more opposite giving us experience on both the prevention and restorative aspects of Dr. Seely's practice. I have referred several people to the practice and all of them have been have been happy with the standard of care they received as patients of her practice. Dr Seely is the best dentist ever! I stand by that statement. Being prone to decays, I have filling in nearly every one of my tooth, some teeth have more than one fillings. So I have been to a lot of dentists in my years! Dr Seely has a zen like office and friendly staff. She has a great personality unlike any other dentist I have gone to. But what really sets her apart are her skills. I did not feel the shot when she injected me!! She recently put on two crowns (veneers) on my front teeth. They are absolutely gorgeous I can't stop looking at them! Perfect fit, size and color. She really has a keen eye for beauty (just look at her). Even my temps were pretty! My husband and 4 year old daughter also sees her. They are not a pediatric dental office, but the staff handles my daughter well. She gets to watch TV while her teeth is being cleaned which keeps her perfectly content. My husband was going to the same dentist for years, I finally convinced him to try her. He cannot be happier. She ceased my husbands chronic headaches by making him the NTI night guard. That changed our lives as my husband is no longer in a constant bad mood due to his headaches. read more

Dr. Seely is the best dentist I have EVER had. My childhood dentist was very cold and "scolded" me when I did not floss or missed some areas when I brushed. Due to this bad experience I was traumatized and avoided going to the dentist for years. Thankfully I found Dr. Seely... she is amazing! She understands my phobia and does not make me feel bad for being anxious when I sit down in the chair for my treatment. Dr. Seely actually explains what she is doing throughout my procedure and consistently asks if I am doing ok. My children actually ENJOY going to the dentist and look forward to their visits every six months. What a relief finding a caring doctor with impeccable chair-side manner. I would recommend Dr. Seely to anyone, but especially patients who are nervous to visit the dentist. Rebecca is a gem! I appreciate her patience with me when I try to stall before my check-up. She is very soothing, turns on the massage chair for me, and doesn't mind when I put the headphones on to watch a television show during my check-up. She even giggles when I tell her I have only flossed four times since my last visit. My teeth always look and feel great when I leave the office. Mateline is a wonderful receptionist. She is very personable when she calls me to schedule the appointments and understands that life happens when I need to reschedule. Dr. Seely is the best dentist I have been to. I love her staff and the office is very relaxing. The only time I have had to wait to be seen for very long was when they were fitting me in for an emergency. She has done fillings, crowns and root canals for me and I have no complaints. It's pricy for me because I don't have dental insurance, but I think the cost is probably in line with most other private dentists. I like how it's small and everyone knows you when you walk in. I have recommended her to my friends and have switched my kids from Jefferson Dental Clinics, where the customer service is horrid, to Dr Seely. They both like her very much. read more

I could go and on about how great Dr. Seely and her staff are, but you really need to just go in for yourself and find out!! Mateline at the front desk will help you with whatever is needed. Whether its rescheduling appointments or contacting your insurance, she'll get it done and call you back quickly. Rebecca, my hygienist, tells you exactly how she sees it and makes sure to go into detail about everything she's doing as well as what you should do at home. She's honest and she knows that the "brush twice a day and floss" isn't always going to happen. I was pregnant at the time I began going to Dr. Seely and Rebecca took extra care of my gums and did additional cleanings to ensure there wouldn't be any infections (not to mention the lack of care from my previous dentist/hygienist). Dr. Seely herself is a working mom/wife and is so down to earth. She genuinely cares about her patients and getting to know them. I've been a patient of Dr. Seely for a couple years now, and while she and her staff don't make going there fun, they do make it as relaxing and stress-free as it can get. I'm the kind of person that gets jumpy in a dentist's chair, and I went from being hyper-aware even during a basic cleaning to absent-mindedly watching TV while the hygienist does her thing. I'm not sure how it's possible to enjoy going to the dentist, but I actually look forward to seeing everyone there. I've had many cleanings, a few procedures, and even had an emergency visit when my daughter chipped her tooth. Madeline at the front is amazing, organized, and sweet, Rebecca, who cleans my teeth, is gentle, sweet, and efficient. Dr. Seely is super nice, funny, and straightforward. I met Kisha, Dr. Seely's assistant today and she was so down to earth and made me comfortable right away. They are all amazing at what they do! The office has everything to make you comfortable (blankets, tvs with head phones, topical numbing before the injectable numbing, lip balm)! Dr. Seely is a great dentist. My whole family has been coming to her for many years now, and I recommend her to all of my friends. She is very professional and knowledgable, the office is well-managed, the prices for work done are reasonable, and she is great with small children (always a plus!). I have been seeing Dr. Seely for years. Her office décor is relaxing, the exam areas are nice, bright & clean. Her staff is very friendly and Madeline the receptionist is always good about sending appointment reminders. (She even asks whether I want them sent by phone, email or text.) Dr. Seely is both personable and professional. She has returned my calls and answered my dental emergency questions quickly, even outside normal business hours. I know first hand that she is willing to work patients with emergencies into her schedule even if it means skipping lunch or staying late. (During my last visit, I saw a patient come in grimacing in pain and heard him thanking Dr Seely for seeing him on short notice & sounding very relieved.) In all honesty my routine appointment started a few minutes late but it was clear that another patient really needed to see Dr. Seely. (The receptionist explained that the dentist was running late when I arrived, which gave me time to brush my teeth. And as a result, I still gave them a great rating.) It is that type of care and dedication that make Dr. Seely stand out. She is willing to answer any and all of my questions and I never feel rushed to clear out of the comfortable exam chairs. I can honestly say that I no longer dread visiting the dentist. (Yes, it is cliché but true that some prior childhood experiences with another dentist left me a bit nervous, even as an adult. I really should not give this woman one star, but, I guess, since they got me in so fast, the office was clean, the receptionist was mostly nice... one star. I am almost 50 years old, and I joke that I have the million dollar mouth- that's b/c I've spent a lifetime in dentists chairs having work done. My mouth is really small, not enough room for my teeth, I didn't have proper orthodontic treatment or dental care as a child, so lots of crowns, cavities, etc. I know everything about it. My dentist was on vacay, & I came down w/ an abscessed tooth, instead of getting a referral, I found "The Dentist" on Google. They took X-rays, then tapped my teeth to see which one hurt, I told them it was the back one, but they said, no, it's the 3rd one from the back - not the one that hurt me when they tapped - haha. They said it has a leaky infected filling, needs crown & root canal. So, she says, can't do root canal today, but I can do a partial procedure "to get u out of pain" she says. I will take the filling out, part of the root, & put a temp filling over it. For this I was charged $432.00. Checking out they informed me I needed a root canal & crown to tune of $2400? When I dropped the pen I was using to sign my CC form & said Really? In an exasperated voice. The receptionist changed from this sweet, caring woman, into a mean, passive aggressive thing & said very sternly "Yes Ma'am", then blah de blah blah blah. I was so shocked at her tone, I tuned her out. Also, "The Dentist" said the procedure would take 20 minutes, it took an hour. That's how long a root canal takes. Then, as the receptionist is harping in my left ear while I sign papers, Dr. Seely proceeds to tell me & my husband that I don't need pain meds. So I go home, novacain wears off & I'm in the same pain. To their credit they call me at 2:00 next day to check on me, I say I'm in pain & they call in pills. Well, I get referral for another dentist on Monday- who btw is a total pro - he takes X-rays & immediately tells me that the abscessed tooth is the back tooth- hello! He says he can't tell if the tooth she worked on was abscessed or not b/c she has performed a pulpectomy - she went SO far on the procedure that it was ridiculous that she didn't do the whole root canal - his opinion. He is going to get the films from her office to see if it needed a procedure or not, but I'll tell u the tooth didn't hurt at all when they tapped on it. I think it was a money making scheme. Now that the pulpectomy has been done, I have to have the rest of the root canal done & a crown - no choice. Then, she knew I'd have to have root canal on back tooth, but that tooth would not require crown b/c it already has one. She would not have made enough money off me. Thank u Dr. Seely. Thank you for helping me to throw away $2700.00? I am not a wealthy woman. I guess my mistake was going to a dentist at forest/Preston. Although the bldg is shabby, I suppose that u consider urself as catering to the Highland Park crowd & think they don't mind being ripped off? We r on one measly income & I homeschool my children & we count every last penny. Looking at your wardrobe, I suppose that either we are paying for u to put on airs or u are just sadly incompetent. I'm guessing both. Why oh why did I agree to that procedure. The new dentist I'm going to says he never does those b/c they DO NOT WORK. Perhaps you went into practice on your own too soon miss. I think you need to partner up w/ someone who has years of experience in doing good dentistry- but that would require some humility I fear u do not possess. read more

As I am new to the Dallas area, I do not have a regular or trusted dentist yet. After calling around for an emergency crown for my front left incisor, I decided on Dr. Seely's office. What a great choice! I was completely amazed with how well I was treated by everyone--the receptionist, two hygienists, and Dr. Seely, herself. The mood was very light and upbeat, however completely professional. I was also very comforted by the level of explanation that I received regarding every step that was being performed. There were no surprises and I was even offered the opportunity to watch TV, listen to music, or just lay back and watch what was going on. Although I am not afraid of needles, I have to agree with other reviewers that Dr. Sheedy's method of injecting (I assume the numbing agent to be:) novocaine was barely noticeable! I can honestly say that this--so far--has been the best experience I have ever had with a dental office and I would be happy to refer anyone here; as well as offer any further support for my recommendation for anyone wishing to finalize their choice of dentist in the North Dallas area! read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Seely since I moved to Texas and she is, literally, unique in the service and care she provides. I have never been kept waiting more than 5 mins, never received a "sales job" for expensive procedures, never felt like just another patient being hurried through a busy professional service. Dr. Seely (and her staff) genuinely care about their patients. Her staff knows you by name and provide a welcoming family atmosphere. They bend over backwards to help with insurance, billing and appointments when you want them. The hygienist is excellent and she (to me) feels like family. The dental assistant is awesome and hoot to talk to while undergoing procedures! The Dentist Dallas is such a wonderful, family-style dental practice! From the minute you walk in the door, you are treated to a warm welcome and immediately made to feel at ease. Because the staff knows each patient, they are able to recall key details of prior visits, so that one truly feels well cared for. Excellent, excellent knowledge of dentistry, and excellent follow-up as well. Dr. Seely is unquestionably the finest dentist I have met. She is skilled and conscientious, and her character and integrity are outstanding. Gentle always, thoughtful and truly a loving people person. A visit always leaves me with more than healthier teeth. She treats the whole person. The quality of care is first-rate. Dr. Seely and her staff are truly a rare find; caring, personal and attentive service, but with all of the modern dentistry techniques and equipment available in a large metropolitan area. I have been Dr. Seely's patient for approximately five years, and I feel like she has been my family dentist for life. For many, visiting the dentist is an unwelcome and even dreaded necessity. However, visiting Kristen's office is as pleasurable experience as one could ever hope for in medical care. It is evident that they care deeply about the patient's well being, and that fact is continually reinforced throughout each visit; with the spa like features enveloping you from the moment you walk into the door. She has the most relaxing leather chairs with flatscreen televisions in each room personalized with a patient remote. The calming and soothing sounds of the water flowing in the office and serene artwork throughout. If a patient isn't completely satisfied with the work she has done, whether it be cosmetic or otherwise, they must be so far removed from what greatness is that they can't comprehend it when they feel it. I'm never uncomfortable when getting my dental work done, as their professionalism and experience is only matched by their warm and calming demeanors. Kristen, her office manager Mataline (who works at reception), and the entire staff, are among the very best and most enjoyable medical professionals I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with.
