Walk in because for your love of imported food items and grab a few alcohols just because you can. Found some Dr Oetker food products and imported candy from Japan. Endless novelty items from Bob Ross calendars to Bob Ross canned drinks. Anybody would love to fin Bob Ross in their stocking on Christmas day. My family used to have social gatherings here at the (temp closed) Cooking Papa Restaurant. The cool feature of this shopping center is that it has lovely views of a large lagoon. Foster City, like the City of Alameda, has man-made lagoons. This shopping center has a Luckys Supermarket for an anchor store. And a mix of restuarants, banks, martial arts, and assorted other shops like the UPS Store. I walked around, and saw alot of empty storefronts. Probably closed due to the Covid shutdown. Others had closed early. Some of the restaurants were open, and had a good number of dine-in customers. You could tell where the open shops were by the cars parked. Huge vacant parking lot in the center. I'm sure it's more lively in the daytime.

I visited Hillsdale Mall for the first time in decades!…read more I wanted to drop by and survey the parking near Palette Tea Garden. I decided it was best to park on the roof and take the escalator down to ground level.....right to the restaurant! While I was there, I walked around to see what the indoor mall was like. It's a nice shopping mall with a variety of shops, restaurants, and services. The North Mall has a huge "Dining Terrace" which includes an outdoor patio with fire pits. I like the hand washing area. I heard stories that the owners of the mall want to tear down the enclosed mall and build a mixed use open air mall. The plan is yet to be approved. I like Hillsdale Mall the way it is.
