Great neighborhood DQ. We like to bike here and eat our ice cream outside.

I didn't know what to expect and I originally thought that the dessert I wanted to try was a doughnut. It was not - more of a harder pastry. It is filled with two scoops of ice cream - priced at about $14. Personally, I think it's a little overpriced for what you get. The pastry itself was cruncher than I thought and it tasted a little burnt - and for that price I would hope for more than two small scoops of ice cream. When my friend and I went in, we were the only customers - around 9 o'clock when they close at 10. The employee was friendly enough and confirmed the dessert we were interested in was definitely not a donut. We were really confused when we place our orders and he went to the janitor closet/room in the back for about 10 minutes and came out with the pastry and then put it in a small oven or some sort. We noticed he was wearing gloves but he was using his phone which really defeats the purpose of using gloves. I'd feel more confident that our food wasn't being contaminated if fresh gloves were being used. I'm sure it could be some people's go to, but I think it's just not my type of dessert - although, I did enjoy the ice cream.

I tried several items here - Pistachio Chimney Cake, lotus biscoff kanafeh, pistachio crepe, and waffle with fruit and chocolate sauce. We also had a small baklava bite and Turkish coffee. All the desserts were so delicious, creamy, and sweet ! The ice cream in the Chimney Cake had great flavor too. My favorite items were the chimney cake crepe, and baklava. The Turkish coffee was very strong for my taste but I'm usually not a fan of black coffee overall. I think next time I'll have to try the iced lattes. Service was good - the staff member gave some suggestions and gave me a heads up of how long some items would take. I liked that we got a warning since the crepe took about 20 mins but it was sooo worth the wait. The napkins are small and utensils are kind of flimsy so they are hard to use to cut more dense items like the waffle or chimney cake, but they worked to cut the crepe. I would bring some Wet Ones / larger napkins since there isn't a sink available for customer use and eating the desserts can get a bit messy.

I was trying to explain him, I am not asking additional topic and he started saying "don't take it if you don't want, I don't want to sell you" and started pushing the other guy. Unfortunately it seems like their shops have taken a bit of a business drop given Rolled ice cream has become so popular as of lately. Anyways, I have been to this location twice now. Most recently, I went and got a Cookie Dough signature ice cream creation, and it was really good! Loved their cookie dough with chocolate fudge and caramel. I am glad I got the Like it size over the Love it, because I was definitely full at the end. I can't believe I use to get Gotta Have it (their largest size) regularly in high school! Plenty of parking available, and they are located in south New Brighton area. If you are a coupon fiend like me, you can sign up for their birthday rewards to get some deals close to your bday.

When I go to new cities, I typically seek out food that is specific to the region and thus a little more interesting to me. You can get a burger anywhere, and a cheese filled patty, aka a "Juicy Lucy", didn't sound like something I needed to try. But my husband kept talking about it and really seemed bent on having one so we decided to come here to try it out. We showed up during their happy hour, from 4-5pm, and they had $5 draft beers. Score! It's a cute place with ample seating, nice natural light from the large windows, and a relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the Juicy Lucy, a burger patty stuffed with cheese and topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and pub sauce. I chose the Impossible patty version, but you can also get it with their house made black bean burger. Hubby chose the Garlic Girl, a black bean cheeseburger topped with bacon (also made in-house), berbere aioli, lettuce, and pickled onion. Each burger came with fries. Both burgers were spectacular and delicious in their own way. The bacon on hubby's burger was incredible, and his burger was rich and satisfying. By my Juicy Lucy, oh my... Every bite was a flavor explosion and intensely delicious without being a gut bomb shockingly. To top it off, the fries were super crispy and just perfect. WOW is all I can say. Note that while the prices may seem a little higher than what you might expect, Francis Burger is a no tipping establishment, as stated on their menu. For the quality of the food and the great service, it was well worth the price! I'll be back if I'm ever in this area again.f

Fries are perfectly seasoned and they pay their waitstaff a livable wage so prices reflect the total cost and no need to tip! Maybe that's why all the waitstaff seem so friendly. Have always had a great experience.
