I looked inside my bun and was greeted by the most pathetic looking 2 burgers I have ever seen. Overdone, dry and SMALL. It felt like they were reheated from lunch. 2 patty's didn't equal one patty at most other places. Had my wife not been so hungry, I would have gotten up and left. Even the two pickles (which are homemade, with a nice zing) didnt make the burgers any better. There were only about 6 people in the store so NO EXCUSES for not getting a better effort from the chef! The servings of each meal were incredibly generous. The Gyro was heaped with so much meat that I was so glad to have spent the $0.75 for extra tzaziki with the Gyro Platter. The Gyro comes with the option of adding a side with it for less than it would be if ordering a side separately, if you want grilled zucchini which had the BEST flavor! I eventually did return to this McDonald's after having completed a road time down to northern Iowa. I ended up getting a couple of items before turning to the Twin Cities. Yep, I made a purchase and did a points redemption. I was a customer. It was more four hours later. I hit the drive-thru after having made my points redemption through the McDonald's app. I had points expiring at the end of September. I got the following items: - Double cheeseburger - Genshin impact - apple pie At the drive-thru, I rattled off my order code. The man on the other end of the speaker found it and said that I could come up to the window. It didn't take long for my food to be handed over to me in a paper bag. I thanked the man and continued to drive north, back to my hotel in Bloomington. I had the apple pie after dinner I got Chinese food at my favourite eatery in Rochester. I enjoyed this apple pie. It was different than the apple pie that you get in Canada. This one had a lattice design and was less doughy. It had sugar around the edges. The apple pie filling was generous and not overly sweet. I had the double cheeseburger for breakfast. It heated up well in the microwave. Breakfast of champions... haha! There's something about processed cheese with pickle slices, mustard, and ketchup, slapped between two burger patties that makes this double cheeseburger enjoyable.
