When I lived in Rochester, I only visited one McDonald's restaurant. It was closer to where I lived in the north part of the city. Last month, I was in the downtown area to dine at Red Cow. It's near the Mayo Clinic, so parking is at a premium and difficult to find. I did something that I shouldn't have. I parked across from Red Cow at this McDonald's. There is a hotel next door to this eatery. I saw folks parked here to head over to the hotel. I decided to do the same, but for Red Cow. I eventually did return to this McDonald's after having completed a road time down to northern Iowa. I ended up getting a couple of items before turning to the Twin Cities. Yep, I made a purchase and did a points redemption. I was a customer. It was more four hours later. I hit the drive-thru after having made my points redemption through the McDonald's app. I had points expiring at the end of September. I got the following items: - Double cheeseburger - Genshin impact - apple pie At the drive-thru, I rattled off my order code. The man on the other end of the speaker found it and said that I could come up to the window. It didn't take long for my food to be handed over to me in a paper bag. I thanked the man and continued to drive north, back to my hotel in Bloomington. I had the apple pie after dinner I got Chinese food at my favourite eatery in Rochester. I enjoyed this apple pie. It was different than the apple pie that you get in Canada. This one had a lattice design and was less doughy. It had sugar around the edges. The apple pie filling was generous and not overly sweet. I had the double cheeseburger for breakfast. It heated up well in the microwave. Breakfast of champions... haha! There's something about processed cheese with pickle slices, mustard, and ketchup, slapped between two burger patties that makes this double cheeseburger enjoyable. Maybe it's because I don't normally get it and it was more satisfying to eat when you splurged getting it with points. It was nice visiting this McDonald's that I didn't know existed until I headed over here for Red Cow. I'd return again when I am craving McD's. (402) read more

Not usually one to stop at a McDonald's but the wife really wanted breakfast there. I haven't been in one in quite a few years and man have they improved! Maybe it was just this one in Rochester, but holy cow have they upped their effort in making the inside of McDonald's a far more pleasant experience than I was used to. Very clean and actually kind of sleek looking. There was a station you could pay and pick out your food without having to order from the counter. Theres also a screen that tells you what order number they're one. Pretty impressed. Food was as good as I remember. Let's be honest, McDonald's doesn't need my review, however, you might and I personally wouldn't hate the idea of stopping here again for a quick grab and go meal. read more

Went to ER with bloody diarrhea after eating here. 1st burger was fine. 2nd burger had something caustic in it like drano lye. After one bite of 2nd burger and within a half hour, I went to St Marys for 2 days. Eat here at your own risk. Definitely don't risk having your kids eat here. read more

Please check your food order BEFORE leaving. I don't think we ordered wrong (the receipt was correct), but we found different items in our bag to go. Also, it's a sad day when McDonalds workers have to worry about being replaced by an automated order station. I went to get a 20pc and after eating my meal I found black hairs in my order. I'm disgusted and I almost threw up when I realized I ate every nugget and noticed last minute. This is a model McDonald's that other McDonald's restaurants should follow. Every single time I come in I am acknowledged quickly with a friendly tone. I don't eat here often but I pick a lot of Doordash deliveries from this location. It's the cleanest McDonald's I have even been to. No one sits around, they are always sanitizing the tables, wearing masks, and being friendly. I don't know who the manager is but you are doing a very good job at managing the employees and this restaurant. This McDonald's should be recognized in some way other then on yelp. read more

Went here for breakfast and went through the drive-through so I can't speak to the quality of the restaurant inside, but there was a very long drive-through line when I got there and it moved very quickly which happily surprised me. I ordered a simple plain cheeseburger with fries and what I got was a cold apple pie and a supersized order of cold fries. I'm beginning to think that small town Rochester allows their fast food industry to double or triple the acceptable waiting time for their customers... hope incoming citizens don't mind a 15-30 minute wait (drive-thru or walk-in). Destination Medical Center should bring a revived sense of urgency to managers in this town, but it appears that at least this franchise fails to realize the meaning of customer service. More than three visits to this McDonald's... 15-30 minute waits, no apologies, messed up orders, etc. The only positive I'll give is that the manager of the store did reach out with an apology via email and offered to comp our next meal (we would have to mention this to the cashier, which is incredibly offensive to any customer and/or employee... who in their right mind feels the need to embarrass themselves and the employee by mentioning what a terrible experience you had last time in order to get a free $5 meal?). Would have been nice if they actually mailed us something (would not make up for the poor service). Based on other reviewers' takes, my wife's and my visits here are pretty standard... long waits, no apologies, wrong food, etc. The least the employees could do is have the people whose orders are taking forever pull up to a parking space and allow those of us with simple orders to go through. Instead, the line of vehicles grows longer and we all watch as cars full of entitled drunks send their food back to the kitchen several times. This is 100% on management; if there were a threat that they would lose their jobs, they might actually effect change, but instead, they know their positions are secure, so they allow horrifically lazy employees to pander to the worst customers. There are enough other McDonald's locations that we likely won't come back unless we're stuck in the E.R. overnight (which did happen, and we needed food). Stopped here for a breakfast bite. New LCD TVs at some of the booths. Looks like a recent re-design to be more colorful and modern with squares of new-ish art styles in various locations, and a gameboy and playground area for the kids. Standard menu, and the service was decent, friendly, and they're open from 5a-1a in the lobby, 24-7 drive-thru. Clean for a McD's, and they had no problem fixing any issues with our order. read more

DEN OF THIEVES! Went through the drive thru. Ordered a bacon egg and cheese McGriddle and a sausage egg and cheese McGriddle. They charged us the wrong amount. I paid paid the extra without complaining because it isn't really a big deal to me. First they they tried to give us multiple different people orders. After a long process of figuring out what to give us they finally provided us our food. Everything was fine until we realized the sausage EGG and CHEESE McGriddle was only a sausage patty with two disgusting dry McGriddle buns. Yet to get my meal order correct. Best thing to do is never ever use the Drive Thur. It is a joke when you order a simple meal and they get it wrong. Ordered a value meal and ask to upgrade my fries. When I opened the bag they gave me two fries. Also asked for sweet and sour for the chicken nuggets and got 1 and 3 Buffalo spicy! I went to stop by to grab a brunch while they were remodeling the place and was paying cash and credit. This one girl got confused because I was buying to separate orders with 2 different payments for someone and has to refund twice so she ended up giving me a discount. Very rude General Manager and non-appreciative of visiting customers. I parked in their lot at 0830 and ate breakfast with my family. We then walk d across the street to Mayo Clinic. At 1130 we walked back to McDonalds to eat and noticed my car was gone. The general manager told me she had it towed since I was not in the restaurant. I told her I was a customer and have been for several days but she said I wasn't a customer when my car was towed. Needless to say we are done walking across the street from Mayo Hospital to eat at this McDonalds. They caused me a $200 tow bill. I understand if I parked there all night or all day but I was only there a little longer than 3 hours. Very poor customer service and no appreciation for out of town customers. read more

This is one of the nicest McDonalds locations that I have been to. The decor is quite stylish with numerous televisions and many different forms of seating. The staff got our very intricate order correct and were quick to fill it. Definitely will continue to use this location. read more

When I eat here, I almost always use the drive through. I can't remember a time that I've had bad service. Fast, friendly people man the windows. One time I had to wait a couple more minutes for my mocha. The server brought it out with a coupon for a free small mocha on my next visit. One helpful hint: prepare to wait a long time to go eastbound on 2nd st. The intersection on 2nd street is not controlled. You're going to have to jockey two different street lights to the east and west. Since it's close to the hospital, traffic will be heavy. When my mcflurry, which is ice cream, is completely melted when I get it in the drive thru. That's not ok.

So after a long busy at night all I wanted was a chocolate shake. They "were out of ice cream and the machine is being cleaned", ok fine so i ordered a McChicken sandwich and an apple pie. I was asked if I wanted 2 pies for a $1, sure. I paid at 8:52 and drove around for my order. After a short wait I was at the window and heard the employees say "you just gave her sandwich and pies to the the wrong car". About a minute later I was told "we are making your apple pies fresh, can you please drive ahead and wait for your order." So I pulled in front of the store and waited for my order. I get it stuff happens. 20 minutes later I'm still waiting in front of the store!!!! So I parked and went into the store where I waited 5 more minutes for someone to ask if I needed anything thing. I told them I've been waiting 20 minutes for my order. O got my order within 2 minutes. The gal at the counter gave me 2 coupons for small fries. As I walked away the manager told her she was not allowed to just give out coupons. I wanted to go back and yell at him but I was just wanted to go home after my day. This is THE WORST McDonalds I have ever been to in my life. First of all, the parking lot is dangerous because of the strange way it is set up. Then the main entrance was not marked and not clear. After entering you see LCD TVs at the tables and modern decor, which doesn't make it feel like a McDonalds. The inside is also set up weirdly because the counter to order was far away from the main door and facing the wrong way. Also, they took a long time to get my order, and naturally messed it up twice!
