This is the best Dairy Queen in Denison, you will ever go to. Puts the other Dairy Queens to shame. Everything I order is always great and fresh. I love the Denison Burgers and Chili Cheese Dogs. Great fries and onion chips. They hand make their Dilly Bars, (unlike the other Dairy Queens that are factory made) and they are so delicious. The menu is a little different from the other Dairy Queens. I drive an hour just to eat here and it is worth it! read more

What a wonderful little store! This Dairy Queen offers a variety of food will beyond your standard ice cream fare. The service was prompt, pleasant, and exceptionally efficient. We got to enjoy our ice cream outside at one of the many tables that are surrounded by beautiful flowers. That was a tasty burger... My wife and I each got a hamburger and shared a small order of fries. Reasonable prices, quick service, and tasty food. There is a bit of standing area inside, and a decent amount of outdoor seating. The Sunday we were there, a lot of us just sat in our cars to dine. The menu is a bit confusing for those of us unfamiliar with the local specialties (Denison burger, and I think an Iowan and a Nebraskan?) but the 1/4 pound burger for $4 or so was good! Next time I will ask about the other local specialties when there isn't a line of people waiting to place an order. Fries were hot and crisp, but a bit bland - ketchup doctored them up just fine. We had been there once before for ice cream, and it was fine, but the hot food beats other DQ's I've been to. There aren't many good options in this area, so this is definitely one of the best places to stop. read more

This is my favorite place to eat around town. It has good food and good icecream if your craving both those things head to dairy Queen.

Dairy Queen has the best ice cream around. However, when you want to keep it simple- ask for their ice cream cones. Vanilla, Chocolate or the Twist, which is my favorite! Stop in for lunch or dessert. However, DQ closes from mid to late November and re-open last part of March. Hurry!!!! read more

best food in denison! a great place to go

My son loved this little DQ. There's no seating inside, just a counter to order at but we were just driving through anyway. Lots of customers while we were there. They didn't have chicken planks but offered to make a chicken sandwich with no bun and cut into strips! Awesome service considering the girl looked about 18-20. You rocked employee! Burger actually had meat. Go for the experience. Hard to find places like this anymore and especially great to find on a lonely Hwy like 141. Truly a great IA place! read more

Not your typical franchise Dairy Queen they basically just use the name so they don't offer the same meals you see in tv commercials just the same ice cream but they do have the typical food you would see at a burger and shake food joint. read more
