My wife went there today to get some ice cream and the lady that helped us , she was Indian , was rude and not nice at all . I couldn't understand he because her English wasn't very good . Me being an older gentleman one couldn't hear her and had a hard time understanding her . Then after eating my ice cream I went into the store to use the bathroom and the look I got from her was hateful and just not polite at all . This will be the last time we ever go there . I called the place to make sure it was open because it was late 3 times and no answer I drove there to check the doors and they were locked the website said that the lobby was close which was true but the drive thru... I drove into the drive thru called them one more time again to see if it was open. I yelled.... nothing. so I was driving away when a lady comes out to say they were open. one star. read more

Nicest staff members at this Dairy Queen location! Stopped in on a busy warm day and though there was a crowd, entire team was friendly and working with a smile. Small but functional outdoor table and chairs to enjoy outdoor seating as well as indoor tables available. Ice cream was typical for Dairy Queen, delicious! I just moved to Plainfield and decided I needed a quick bite and stopped at this Dairy Queen. I have to say out of all the ones I've been to this has been by far the best one yet. I got a Oreo blizzard and a chilly cheese dog and let me tell you it was like I've never had it before. My food was hot and super fresh and my blizzard was thick and not melty at all and the service the staff gave me was immaculate I couldn't have asked for a better experience. First we were told they didn't have the chocolate for chocolate dipped cones, then they charged me for the wrong order. When they refunded me for that, they refunded the wrong amount---while she had that receipt in hand. When I asked for the difference, she huffed and pouted. All the while a chocolate dipped cone is sitting there. When I nicely asked she started she thought I asked for chocolate ice cream...after I repeated you don't have chocolate for dipping the cones? I did get my cone finally...and two completely melted Misty Slushes cause she stomped away after giving me the difference in my refund for being charged for the wrong order. The other gentleman--a manager or shift lead maybe, not sure-- was very nice and polite but this young girl needs more training and some customer service training exercises. I am shocked that this place has less than 5 stars reviews. We stop here all the time and the customer service is always friendly, service with a smile and the ice cream is spot on with Instagram worthy presentation. The drive up menu board is easy to see and easy to order from. This place is usually very busy since its pretty much the only DQ in the area but they do a fantastic job of getting us in and out. I decided to reward my kids and myself for a pre back to school ice cream treat from Dairy Queen. I chose the drive through as we were going to take it back home. The drive through was quick and efficient. My daughter always likes the vanilla cones and my son the chocolate dipped cone. They did a good job on the chocolate dipped cone as it was solid. Both of them ate up the ice cream cones before I got back home. I saw a new item as the blizzard of the month. It was a tiramisu blizzard. I have been getting blizzards well since they were introduced in the late 80's and this had to be the best combination ever. I am not sure how they did it but it was like a frozen tiramisu in a cup amazing. I will be back and hope they keep that flavor or at least rotate it like the fall pumpkin pie blizzards. read more

Enjoyed a bike run through Whitelick Creek and a Friendship Gardens topped off with a yummy Ice Cream treat! This DQ is literally right on the trail and has bike racks at the door. Due to Covid, the entire staff was wearing gloves and masks versus other similar dining spots we have recently visited that were not. Cones were dropped for us behind a plexiglass window. This place is another example of a business run by kids. The windows were filthy, and the service was, let's just say, detached. The so-called frozen treat was hardly solid, and it had to be consumed quickly or it became part of your apparel. The wait lines were over-long because the kids were busy satisfying themselves without bother by customers. As is usual with the entitled children of today, there is no such word as please or thank you. There is the demand for the money, followed by "there you go." They don't care if you come back, and evidently, the owners don't either, so I won't. Message to owner: it's your job to set standards and run your business. You could teach these children of the glowing screen some interpersonal skills like manners and appreciation. They may need it someday, and so might you. read more

And half way done with my shake, I was taking a drink, and nothing was coming through the straw so I thought it was just a bigger strawberry like it always is. Nope. I just ordered a sandwich from here and it was terrible. Obviously my only expectation of a sandwich from DQ is that it's edible. Well, apparently my expectations were too high. The bread was drenched in some sort of unidentified liquid... so much so that it soaked through the bag and put a whole in the bag and made a terrible mess everywhere. Who thinks it's ok to give that to someone? When I tried to identified the problem, I couldn't even tell what everything was...it was just gross. Needless to say, I didn't even try to eat that.
