We have been there at least six times, the first three times the staff were really nice and pleasant and the food was hot. The past two weeks we went around 8:00-8:15 again for a late snack three times and there were three different kids working. They already had the chairs on top of the tables and the brooms ready to sweep the floors an hour before closing. As if that wasn't unwelcoming enough, no greeting, just looks like they definitely were not happy they were getting customers. No smiles, just scowls and Just barely asked nicely what we wanted. Meal was barely warm all three times. No thank you, just more scowling and depressed looks. We're not sure what's going on there with the staff, but there is definitely a problem. I had a good experience at this Dairy Queen. The ice cream was yummy, the service was fast, and the staff were friendly. My husband and I stopped in for dessert. I tend to have a very big sweet tooth, so dessert is my thing. I ordered a dipped vanilla ice cream cone with sprinkles. I decided to go with the medium, which was plenty for me. My husband ordered the same thing. The ice cream was so good. There's something about soft serve that gets me every time! I like that it isn't too rich and has more of a creamy texture than store bought ice cream. We ended up paying just over $6 for two medium cones. It's definitely a lot cheaper than ordering one of their blizzards, which is what I usually get from Dairy Queen. I noticed that they had several new flavors out, so I will be back in the future. Surprisingly, this Ice Cream Shoppe can't even make an Ice Cream Sundae. The very definition of an Ice Cream Sundae is a scope or two of Ice Cream and a topping or 2 or even 3 toppings. But always a topping. I went there tonight an asked for a large chocolate sundae. I was never asked if I wanted chocolate or vanilla ice cream. Luckily, I like my sundae with either. I was handed a scoop of chocolate ice cream, with no topping. I asked, "where is the chocolate topping" since I ordered a chocolate sundae. I was told " you never asked for any topping". What??? If I simply wanted a scoop of ice cream I would have said so, instead of paying extra money for a sundae. Finally, another person came out and asked me which topping I wanted. Nice guy. I'm assuming he's the owner. The food was just ok. Nothing special. I ordered the 6 piece chicken strips meal. The chicken was flavorless. Best for toddlers. The Cherry Coke I received he shorted me an inch of Coke (really dude??? ). It wasn't busy so I don't see how he could miss that fubar with the drink that was overly iced. went here for first day of spring free ice cream. i used to stop in for their lunch $5 menu, those are pretty good. service can be slow at times, the manager is always micro-managing the poor high school employees on the register. service would be a lot faster if he just let everyone do their jobs. one of the benefits of this dairy queen is the amount of outdoor space available to customers. not many businesses in the area have outdoor eating areas that are dog friendly. read more

One strange thing of note though: When you pay with credit card the receipt has a field for a tip and a total price. This is the only fast-food establishment I've seen do that. This was the first time I had gotten DQ in a long time. I was intending on getting a burger. I went in and looked at the menu, and there were no burgers. I could have sworn DQ had burgers. I ended up ordering the buffalo chicken strip basket. My wife ordered the regular basket. While I was waiting for the food, I realized that the menu had two panels that were nearly identical. One of them had like one more thing as if it was an updated version of the other. It seemed like the repeating panels were there to cover up the fact that they were missing one... like one that should have had burgers. When we got home with the food and we opened it, I couldn't help but feel a little ripped off. My buffalo strip basket costed more than my wife's regular one, but the only difference between the content was that mine came with one small container of buffalo sauce, and hers with two large containers of ranch. I was expecting my strips to be coated. Why should I have paid more for the exact same thing except less sauce? It was also pictured with celery, but there was none. I looked it up to confirm that I wasn't crazy and DQ is totally supposed to have burgers! Does this location just not offer them? I might have to go back and ask for one to see what happens.
