The tea was nice. The burgers were okay but there was a lot going on with the bacon burger in terms of tastes and the curd burger just tasted like a regular cheeseburger. The fries were good and I love that they made them crispy like I asked but the curds were the most bland I have ever had. This is a fine restaurant and now that I have a visit under my belt I might try them again but I definitely won't have high expectations.

I wasn't wowed by any of them, so I chose the one I thought was the strongest of all of them: Dutch Letter. It was ok but I was expecting a lot more of the almond extract flavor. It was very subtle. I didn't find it rich or creamy either. It tasted like an ice cream I could get at the grocery store if they had that flavor. It was nothing remarkable. The most objectionable thing to me was the cost of the scoop of ice cream. It was $5.99 for a regular scoop! My husband and I were shocked. We thought that surely for that price the scoops must be enormous, but alas, they were just average-sized. I've been burned by this in the past - come prepared! I just love the vibe of the shop, the way it's decorated, the staff are friendly, and the ice cream is great. My go to is plain vanilla soft serve in a cup with Krunch Kote! It's a peanut butter flavored crunchy topping that I have dreams about. The googly eyes they put on everything is so iconic! A Johnston staple I hope is around for many years to come :)

It's one thing if they are eating but they're terrible if you're doing a drive-through and trying to take it home to a family... The Styrofoam containers leak everywhere! If you're going to use that style of container, get some plastic bags for carry out out orders so it doesn't leak all over the customer's car and the bottom doesn't fall out of the paper bag while you're trying to carry it into the house.... I'm not trying to be picky. I just don't like having big messes in my car....
