He often brings home blizzards for us for dessert after dinner. I'm a huge fan of the butterfinger, the all chocolate one, and cotton candy flavors. He mixes it up more often than I do. Consistency is a big thing for me. This location does provide a great, delicious blizzard. However, there is always about two knuckles worth of vanilla ice cream at the bottom with no mix-ins. I'm usually okay with this because I love vanilla ice cream, but it would be nice for the blizzard to be mixed all the way. Overall, if you're looking for a quick treat and life blizzards, this isn't a bad place to stop. But if you enjoy a consistent taste from start to finish, you may want to stop elsewhere. read more

It is located in a busy intersection which is congested and parking is somewhat limited. Walked in and staff was friendly. I think $2.50 for a mini blizzard is alittle high. My bf and I recently went to get a large Butter Finger Blizzard and it wasn't as good as usual because the owner made it. When my bf came out and showed me what it looked like, it was pathetic on the Butter Finger toppings. He said as he walked up, the owner was sitting by the door and hurriedly walked over to make the Blizzard, even though the other employees were in there ready to do it. When the other employees make it, we've always had enough of our chosen Blizzard toppings in whatever we get there, but this time it was terrible. He basically put CRUMBS into our Blizzard! There were only 3 chunks of Butter Finger and all soft serve. It couldn't even be called a Blizzard! Extremely frustrating and a waste of money. We felt like we got ripped off. Free ice cream to welcome the first day of Spring! What a great way to celebrate and raise some donations for Children's Hospital. Dairy Queen of course has a wide selection of yummy frozen treats including blizzards, shakes and ice cream cakes. But they also have a decent menu of food items. I was surprised to see their BBQ sandwich is offered on a pretzel bun.Not too shabby! I was also pleased to see pretzel sticks and queso on the menu....my guilty indulgence. I have only tried their ice cream but seeing their expanded menu will make me consider stopping here for a quick bite when I'm in the area. The staff was very friendly and quick with service. Kudos for keeping an abundance of napkins in the holders even with a steady stream of crowds on free cone day. Definitely will return to this DQ. read more

Poor service due to racism! My fiancé and I went on Saturday evening for a parfait and a shake. The customers were all social distancing so after placing our order we stood away from the counter. There were 3 employees (1 taking orders and 2 fulfilling orders) and several customers came into the store after us and placed orders at the counter. After a few minutes my parfait was completed. I saw the male employee in the process of making the shake. I went to the car as the parfait had no top/cover. After several minutes of waiting and seeing all of the other customers come in and leave my fiancé comes out without a shake. He said that after watching the young man start his shake, he kept stopping and completing the orders of other customers first. He explained and asked for a refund. The employee never apologized nor offered an explanation. I attempted to contact the manager later that evening and that young man answers the phone. After his greeting I asked to speak to the Manager he said 'why?'. I asked if I there was a problem with my requesting to speak to his manager and then he said that he wasn't there. I asked when he would be in store and got his name. My conversation with the manager was normal, he made excuses about online orders being dropped in the queue, difficulty finding experienced employees, etc. I told him that I thought that the treatment that my fiancé received was due to his being Black. He said that he would followup and get back to me. He contacted me this morning and shared that he talked to the staff about completing orders before starting new ones, etc. He also apologized for the unfulfilled order and offered coupons. I shared that it wasn't about free food as anyone going in could afford the ice cream. But, the point is that he didn't address the specific employee and racism. So sad, as we won't be going back to this location after being customers for over 11 years! We've had so many issues with this location. Firstly, my son went to go buy him and his sister some ice cream but I forgot to put money on his card for it. My son's card was denied and he went back to his car to see if he had some cash in there. My daughter stayed inside and was very nervous as she is young, and she heard the people behind the counter say that they expected him not to be able to pay just by the looks of him. She didn't say anything in the moment out of fear but said something after they returned home. On another visit I myself went and the employees were just very rude in general. They were talking so much with a costumer that already ordered and had sat down that I couldn't order and had to wait until I finally spoke up. He didn't even acknowledge me! I ordered two blizzards and fries and they made the blizzards before the fries so they melted before I even got the fries. I placed my order to go and I asked for lids and she acted like it was the hardest thing she could ever be asked for. Then she only grabbed one lid for my two blizzards. Diary Queen will always have great ice cream. Great blizzards, and great sundaes. I recently tried one of their $5 lunches with some friends, and was a little underwhelmed. It was good and it gave a decent amount of food. During my visit service was slow, and they forgot my sundae (part of the $5 lunch) and when I asked for it, the employee seemed irritated and annoyed. The lunch menu is small, but as an ice cream majority establishment I won't hold that against them. If I was rating as an ice cream place alone, it would rank as one of the top 10. Absolute worst experience ever at a Dairy Queen! 3 teenage girls working acting 5 years old. There were several customers in the store, they continually made vomit noises behind the counter. There was an older couple who packed up their food and left. After the 3rd time they were asked to stop and I did tell them that their behavior was rude as hell especially since they had customers in the store. It stopped after that, but as soon as we were heading out the door it started again and got louder as we went out. I don't know what's wrong with teenagers but this will be the last time I go in that store. To make matters worse I had my grandson with me.
