The worst blizzard I have bought a royal cheesecake blizzard with not a single piece of cheesecake In it.

My friend, Mary, went to this particular Dairy Queen on Prospect last evening. During her visit; in order to make life more convenient for the cashier, her and her husband provided change to the cashier (totalling $20.10) and make even monies. The cashier neglected to provide the dollar change. The manager provided video footage to her and it shown the cashier putting the dollar down and never giving the change to her. A dollar generally isn't a big deal, however when the manager spouted obscenities at my friend and called her a "junkie" there is a problem. She doesn't do drugs nor is that type of person. Stereotyping people based on the demographics we live in is NOT OK. His unprofessionalism and crass attitude needs to be addressed. There is no place in an establishment for such a brazen attitude towards a customer- let alone basing their attitude on presumptuous jargon. The manager- as a manager; has a requirement, by law, to count down the drawer and if the cashier made a mistake, so be it. Not only did they show video proving she was short changed; they did not follow protocol. The BBB will have a keen eye now, because I will be calling them next. Disgusting display of power! Gave them multiple chances. Two times cold hot dogs. Two times melting Blizzards at hand off. Skimpy cones. Complained privately and owner was unprofessional. Deletes complaints from their social media accounts so no accurate reviews and found out why. He has teens running the place. He let go the adult managers so that explains them running out of ingredients, the lack of effort in producing quality products of past and the rudeness. This place got a complete remodel just so The quality of service could get so horrible.. likely is the fact they leave a bunch of young kids unsupervised. They busy chatting with friends and let customers wait, no ability to keep track of who is next in line, Make people wait at the walk up window and serve several cars at the drive through out of turn.. I stop here on a semi regular basis. I think the service and quality of the ice cream is very good. They have a drive thru option or you can pick up at the window as well. They have a nice touch with some picnic tables in the back for those that want to sit down and enjoy their ice cream. read more

Called 5 days in advance to get a Cookie Dough Blizzard cake for my wife's birthday. I picked it up on Saturday afternoon and when we cut into it Saturday evening, it was a simple, ordinary, non-Cookie Dough Blizzard cake. AND it was freezer burned. I called on Monday to complain and I was told that since we ate part of the cake, we were out of luck. (We ate it because we had that choice or the choice of not having any cake for her birthday party) They offered NOTHING to make it up to us for giving us a freezer burned, cake that we didn't order! The owner, JOSH, basically didn't care and blew us off, even though he was the one who was at fault. I am waiting for follow up from Dairy Queens Corporate people. I love the Edgewood Dairy Queen! The place looks great! The employees are awesome! My family and I went for a sweet treat tonight and sadly 2 of my kids can not have the ice cream cones because they have Celiac Disease ( which means they can not have anything with wheat, rye or barley in it) and the cones have wheat in them. So me being the type of mom I am I didnt want them to feel left out while the rest of us had our cones. So I brought their own Gluten Free cones with us. I asked the girls if they could put some ice cream in the ones I brought with us and they were more than happy to do it for me. The one girl even asked if I wanted her to put gloves while fixing my kids cones so she doesnt cross contaminate their cones. We have always received great service but tonight was EXCEPTIONAL service! So from a mom with kids who have food intolerances, THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! Keep up the great work! read more
