The dough was bland... more like cheap bread dough than pizza dough, and the mozzarella tasted like low-quality, rubbery cheese that lacked real dairy flavor. Everybody took one bite and just left it on their plate. What a waste. Luigi's ought to seriously reconsider the ingredients used in their pizzas.

I get it ALL the time because it is not only consistently delicious, and perfect (did I mention I'm a PICKY pain in the arse?) I had a couple of Chinese food places on the West side which were good, and also two Thai places- but Hong Kong King blows all of them away. They're reasonable! And the owner who always greets me is adorable. I also am thrilled because I can also get my Bubble Tea fix in!!! Yay for Taro Bubble Tea! Rora had a Green Tea from here and her Tofu with Brown sauce- she's also picky. It passed the Rora test too. It is for the time being a take out only, and that's just fine for me. I do see renovations getting closer, so maybe in the future it'll be a Buffet again. I love their food though- YUM! When I first moved out here to the Geneva area, I told friends that I needed to have a good Chinese place! Since I had four that I frequented back on the west side -that was a sore spot with me moving to the east. When Hong Kong King buffet reopened post covid, I was practically beating down their door lol! I will also say on the consistency of the food here everything I've ordered is always cooked perfectly and delicious! Give this wonderful little treasure a try and don't forget to grab yourself a bubble tea too!

I wanted a salad but their delivery of salad lettuce had not come in so I ordered a bacon cheese burger on lettuce instead of a bun -- I guess their burger lettuce is different from their salad lettuce. I ordered the broccoli as a side. The Burger was Delicious! The Broccoli was Delicious! Seriously!! I was really happy they were out of salad lettuce! The burger was a perfect cook - the cheese melted - the bacon crisp - the tomato was ripe and tasty- the pickles and onion just the right amount!! I actually did not eat the lettuce :/ The broccoli was great! It was steamed al dente and lightly seasoned. I would show you a pic, but it's all Gone! It was quickly prepared and while I waited I was entertained by a variety of characters that frequent truck stops late at night. There was a man who was not happy and cussed a lot... a lady who lost her keys (I hope she found them!) ... a couple of women I believe could have been sex workers as they seemed a bit underdressed .... (I hope one day they will be able to obtain good health insurance!) and of course the Denny's staff who were all very kind, friendly, and helpful! (Of course I hope they can one day obtain decent health insurance as well) I can't wait for breakfast!!
