If you're walking around downtown Longview and craving ice cream, Wild Honey is an easy stop. It's…read moreright in the middle of downtown, surrounded by restaurants and bars, with plenty of parking nearby. I stopped in during the seasonal flavor changeover, so they were running low on a few options. The server told me they were restocking the new flavors the next day. I was hoping to try the vanilla lavender, but I'll have to save that for another visit. Instead, I went with the butter pecan crunch, which the server said is their best-selling flavor. It had a rich, creamy texture, though I thought it could have used a little more flavor. The richness was just on the edge of being a bit too heavy, but it was still a good scoop of ice cream. As I was leaving, a large family was enjoying ice cream together, and it reinforced the feeling that this is a neighborhood spot locals genuinely support. I always enjoy finding local ice cream shops when I travel, and Wild Honey is worth a stop if you're in downtown Longview.

The line can't move if you can't check us out! Our ice cream was melting while we were waiting to get checked out. Not the girls fault unless they know better. Management should train to keep the line moving, have one person help the customer all the way down to the register and then go back to helping other customers. It's a lot faster and more efficient. I wish we had gone elsewhere, I've experienced this twice. Third times a charm maybe?

While visiting town, I was craving something sweet before heading back to my hotel, and Yelp led me…read moreto this spot. It was easy to find, and there was no line when I arrived. However, I did experience a slight delay at the register as the cashier caught up with a friend ahead of me--it actually took longer for them to finish their conversation than for me to place my order and receive my frozen concrete custard. Because of that, I have to deduct a star. Aside from that, the customer service was friendly, quick, and efficient. I ordered a small "Ooey Gooey," which included almonds, caramel cream, and Heath bar pieces. I also added banana, as I love it in both ice cream and smoothies. The portion size was generous, and I finished it before I even made it back to my hotel. It was well-mixed and delicious. My total came to about $8, which is on the higher side, but I can see why this place is so popular. I'd definitely visit again the next time I'm in Bossier City!
